  1. Advantages Texas has over LSU: Scoreboard Series Scoreboard Better city Better academics Richer alumni base Alumni can read Homo sapiens head coach OL that can run block Has run its offense against a P5 school at least once Players aren’t on twitter, posting things that suggest they’re mentally unready LSU hasn’t looked good in recent road games Playing in DKR Advantages for LSU: Beignets Gumbo .01 better average recruit ranking DC may have exhausted our HC’s ways of beating him Strong opinions of its own fans aggy support
  2. Yeah, well we were barely up 38 ourselves.
  3. Gumbo is one of us who got bored and decided to pretend (additional?) stupidity. Not sure which one.
  4. aggy follow sheep, and aggy's pluralization pattern follows sheep's.
  5. Sh! It’s happening! ‘23 edition
  6. Barring significant injury at one of our thinner spots, we look pretty well manned for this game. Tackling, CB2 play, blocking by TE, youth confusion on D, and of course unlucky bounces appear to be the biggest potential issues. To a lesser extent, Sam’s ability to place the ball on longer routes, especially in the middle. On their side, bringing Charles back helps shore up the OL, but that remains an issue. If we can make them even somewhat one dimensional, we can stall some drives out. Having both defenses see success still leaves a huge swing in reasonably possible outcomes. If we tend to bend but not break, they could crawl out ahead with FGs and occasional touchdowns while we stall at midfield. If they can’t convert third and short without the short passing game, we might jump some routes and break it open. With over 100 plays, the game will IMO have spells where things seem to go each way. In the end, I like Texas with the intangibles.
  7. The nature of a poll is generally to summarize the thoughts of a group. Imposing one person’s opinion on how everyone else should vote is almost, but not quite, 100% inconsistent with the idea of a poll. If someone wishes to publish his own top 20, the Internet awaits; go right ahead.
  8. I will never tire of that clip.
  9. This would have been a suitable smack sequence when you were just in 4th grade. I expect better of you now that you’re in 6th. Remember, you’re not any more retarded than you let yourself be. Now come on, boast!
  10. We offered to play our flea-bitten, AIDS-infected, retarded, perverted, sociopathic, bipolar, shit-stained little red-headed half-brother, and he ran away, grabbing himself and half-crying, half moaning. Our duty to pretend affinity is more than met. Do not touch with ten foot pole. Done.
  11. By, “I have worked with them,” he means, “I cry at night.”
  12. I’ll be glad when half time rolls around and these LSU interlopers without three meaningful or humorous ideas between them vanish into the ether from whence they came. Vancouver or wherever spent SEC lug nuts hang
  13. Sport cliche inflation? When I was younger, you could only give 110% max.
  14. SP+ top 10 in week 2, dudes. That’s almost as big a deal as the June state recruiting trophy.
  15. Remember that conference is one of the inputs. So now he can make it both the dependent and independent variable on his graph.
  16. Lots of ND alumni colleagues. Not a negative interaction with one of them ever. One even pulls primarily for Texas. What's odd are the folks (not ND, just in general) whose kids end up going to A&M. The parents seem to drink the maroon KoolAid and lose all cognitive powers relating to football and hayseed reform schools-turned SEC in-state powers, all while remaining otherwise apparently generally competent at life.
  17. Public figures that post here Bill Connelly- Fozzz Greg Davis- CTJ Dan Quayle- Iconoclast John Sharp- banned Mike Leach- Danger Snacks? Huff- ? Matthew McConaughey- who else could act well enough to impersonate an orthopedic surgeon? Hal Mumme- HPSlugga Others?
  18. With our corners and safeties, I hope so. It puts the latter in the vicinity of the former.
  19. If you read the public statements by the Texas players, they are explanatory of the shirts and respectful of the LSU players. If LSU feels disrespected by what it reads other people saying or by pictures of our players, it likely represents the quality of the data processing competencies they are acquiring through their LSU education.
  20. Maybe you should. You could use it to prove how UT is the same lackluster team that started 2018 rather than potentially something that has been growing through the 2019 Sugar Bowl into a new and more promising 2019.
  21. If there is significant sentiment on that team that we don't have a chance, I believe the feeling alone ups our odds of winning by circa 10%. When, in Herman's words, we "show 'em what they signed up for," the shock will make regrouping harder. I'm not either excited or worried about "locker room material." I have seen enough Herman-coached underdogs to know who will come out of our tunnel. My hope is that the Tiger team that comes out of theirs does indeed believe that we are a pushover.
