  1. They're like Aggy who won't stop talking about recruiting even though they keep losing actual games.
  2. I remember Carville saying he wouldn't be surprised if the R's won NV and the D's won NC and that was a a few months ago.
  3. 2025 Draft: Thunder are on the clock
  4. Did not know the recruiting back story but that makes sense. That even further goes to show my point being that talent evaluation and assessment are core functions of the job. They should have been able to stop whatever red flags there were. They still might have offered him anyway but then to let him basically dictate the offensive coaches and scheme is insane. Also, the hiring of Littrell was lazy. They knew Lebby was leaving after he got crossways with the admin over having Art Briles around. Lebby wasn't winning enough to deal with that baggage. That's all fine but then they just promoted a guy with a fairly unimpressive resume. Aside from his stint as a HC at North Texas, he basically has a 15 year resume of unimpressive 1-2 year stints.
  5. Yeah, talent assessment is a core function of the job of a coach. It's understandable for OU fans to think Arnold would be good. The coaches saw him every day for a year and still made the decisions they made.
  6. The same people who keep saying 2020 was a close race. It wasn't and was one of the bigger victories in recent history.
  7. I don't understand how the QB situation and the talent evaluation. They recruited well so NIL likely isn't the problem. (Arnold and Hawkins were both blue chip recruits.) Arnold obviously isn't very good for some reason and they had an entire year with him to asses that. So then Lebby leaves and they then decide to go balls deep with Arnold. They hired the OC he wanted to run the offense he wanted. This wasn't some big time recruit they made promises to. This was a guy already on the roster and if I remember right, there were stories over the summer that he just wasn't very good in practice. Then you have them making a terrible OC hire to add on.
  8. Scott Galloway did a most excellent podcast that basically hit every single one of those points. I think this is it and still a great listen. https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/failing-young-men-with-richard-reeves/id1498802610?i=1000584062413 You mentioned that young men need to get their shit together and I'd like to expand on that. There doesn't seem to much ambition with younger men to get girls. When we were "utes," literally everything I did was to get laid/get a girl. Look better, get a car, go to college, make money, etc. Every single one of those had girls as a component as to the why. Even college wasn't so much about throwing leg in college. It was about making more money as an adult, knowing I'd have more options with women. I see it a lot and I honestly have more in common with young women now. They want the same things out of life I wanted at that age. The boys barely want to even drive. I do think porn is a problem and lord knows I'm not a sexual conservative. I think the amount and type of porn these young men consumer completely ruins their ability to relate to women. (Neg away, porn fiends.)
  9. I think they're starting to realize that, too. Imagine by surprise when Stephen Miller of all people was wanting people to vote early.
  10. Tried it with preachers in the Southern Baptist Convention and it failed. Wonder why.
  11. Hell yes. I've said this for years. Same with preachers, priests, and youth ministers.
  12. They're basically the same type of podcast. One is for young women, one is for young men. Prolly 0% overlap.
  13. Especially considering Joe Kernen is a complete Trump/Elon fanboy.
  14. Also, this is about more than just returns by party. I would assume that +95% of Dems are voting Harris but the Republicans have been hemorrhaging voters in the Philly burbs, particularly with women.
