  1. The way the TX and tOSU game turned out couldn't have psychologically benefited us more IMO Unit wise, every aspect of the offense and defense got challenged by an inferior opponent. tOSU comes in moderately heavy favorites after demolishing Oregon in a revenge game. The coaching points are going to be very different over the next 8 days. MASSIVE confidence boost for Quinn. Feels like a turning point. He knows he can spin it in the most important moments. Complacency from Howard and Smith setting in? Run game got physically demolished by UGA in both games and run game blew up in the games following. Hoping for the same vs talented tOSU front Defense top to bottom has carried this team all year. Howard + WR magic going to run out at some point and may as well be against us. (Wish I could say that I feel good about Bert but ran out of sunshine) Feels like tOSU poised for a letdown and we are playing for each other. Just feels like this team is special and going to surprise us on Friday. In the Cotton Bowl of all places
  2. What an absolute mind-fuck of a QB experience. Looks totally helpless for long stretches then LETS HIS MOTHERFUCKING NUTS HANG
  3. Just a horrendous press conference and clearly a massive douche of a coach. Relentlessly shitting on his team, "can't cover the forward pass", calling out individuals, thinly veiled apologies, GI distress Loved it
  4. Quinn looks much better than I remember when rolling out. Minimizes the pressure up the middle in his face, less tipped balls, cuts the field in half for him, can get rid of it without throwing into triple coverage. That throw rolling left to Golden was pretty Overall I'm feeling more optimistic about this team in the playoff. Have a higher ceiling than Oregon, OSU, and UGA just bc we're leaving so much meat on the bone on offense. Sark with 2 wks and some time to re-evaluate is going to come up with something
  5. This exactly He doesn't have a discernible skill set beyond quick slants and horizontal passing which is hard to scheme around. Rarely gives more than in expected of him which sticks out like a sore thumb on a team full of leaders and absolute dogs trying to win a championship.
  6. I guess the point I was trying to make is that, while Quinn has been nowhere near a bust, he hasn't quite lived to up to the expectations everyone had of him. I don't know how anyone could look at the way he moves in the pocket and not think he's just a little head fucked right now. He's clearly been good enough to win us (almost) every game the last 2 seasons which I'm not ignoring and has looked unquestionably elite at times ie Bama and OkSt last year. I just don't think the QE in the current moment gives us the best chance to win the next 4-5 games with the limitations he has. Most things he does well (RPO, single read, short passing game) are things that most D1 QBs do well and things that Arch is absolutely capable of doing and Arch gives you so much more in the run game and hopefully down the field. You know Sark is asking him to do more when he's forcing a shit-ton of balls that he wasn't forcing earlier in the season. There's a huge amount of pressure on him, they made a fucking Dr Pepper commercial about his backup breathing down his neck, and Sark already started working Arch in arguably the most important game of the season which is honestly surprising. Best case scenario IMO, Quinn and Arch split time getting limited roles doing what they do best which limits the QE gaffes, gives opponents more to prep for, Sark gets to keep his QB track record and give Arch dev time and hype going into next season ESPN has us #1 in FPI with 23% chance to win the whole thing in the first year in the SEC with a good schedule and stacked roster. It's a MASSIVE opportunity for the optics of the program and the stars don't align like this every year. I just hope we do play the best QB and aren't married to the idea of this being "Quinn's team"
  7. Quinn not a pussy but just isn't that good and he is just realizing it. The world is willing him to be a superstar but just doesn't that high of a ceiling. The big problem IMO is his draft stock obviously plummeted during the season and is in his head about keeping up the 1st rounder facade and getting the rookie contract. I love Quinn for the things he's done for the University, but he's gotta hope that some NFL takes a chance on a QB that is not that big or mobile, can't hit the deep ball, has the worst kind of consistent injury history, makes bad decisions under pressure, and has flatlined or regressed with every conceivable advantage that a QB can have under Sark. At some point in the playoffs, Sark is going to have to decide if he is going to squander an iconic year in a "down" SEC where you have an elite defense, elite OL, effective supporting running game for the sake of saving QE
