I believe it was the next parking lot north of where Dallas nightclub was.  Gibson’s was set back a bit due to its parking lot and the store faced Burnet while Dallas was sideways and faced north (the old one anyway... I think).  Today the spot I’m thinking it was in is a Tuesday Morning and several other shops in a newer building. They sit behind Tumble22 Hot Chicken today.  If Gibson’s wasn’t where that  Tuesday Morning is then it may have been the next block up, but it was definitely no further south than that.

I grew up around there. We used to shop at the Safeway that’s now a car dealership just south of all that at Justin Ln.

Correct. Gibson's was on the lot that now houses Tuesday Morning and Taco Deli. Loved going there as a kid.

Anyone remember Winn's stores? They were everywhere. Bought my first Star Wars action figures at the one on Hancock the day they were released.

I have a request - What are everyone's favorite episodes of podcasts? Like, mind-blowing and fascinating or ridiculously funny. So for podcasts where each episode is a stand alone story or topic where you can just walk right in, what are your favorites?

Radiolab - Rodney Versus Death - Maybe the most thrilling and amazing episode I've ever heard.

Cracked - Why the Food Industry is Evil - Awesome discussion of obesity and how the food industry basically operates like a dope pusher.

How Did This Get Made - The Garbage Pail Kids Movie - Jason Mantzsoukas is next-level hilarious and incredulous in this episode.

More Perfect - The Imperfect Plaintiffs - About guy who finds fact patterns/plaintiffs and gets them to the Supreme Court essentially as a hobby, and the strange, sad story behind Lawrence v. Texas.

You Made It Weird with Pete Holmes - The Return of Harris Wittels - Houston-raised comedian and comedy writer talks about his opiate addiction, rehab, etc. Tragically, he died of a heroin overdose 3 months later.

Frontline - Gunned Down - About the gun debate and the rise of the NRA.

The CrabFeast - Episode 38: Brandt Tobler - This dude's life whole life story is wild. It's especially incredible when he talks about being a runner for ultra-high stakes gamblers in Vegas.

Sklarbro Country - Episode 42: This is a Podcast - Great complete episode but James Adomian as Gary Busey during the last 1/3rd is the hardest I've ever laughed at any podcast.

If others come to me, I'll post them here.

Last Podcast on the Left's Aum Shinrikyo episodes.

Kick ass!!! never thought of doing bullet holes.  I did hang one from a string, lit it on fire and had it crash into a bunch of soldiers covered with lighter fluid :D

We would spend our days burying Black Cats, connected by a single fuse, setting little green army men and tanks and trucks strategically on top of them, and then lighting the fuse and blowing them all up.

I worked at Milto's while in HS in 80s.  Met so many blues legends playing next door at Antone's. We'd be out smoking next to the dumpster at the end of our night as the bands where out there smoking before going on.  The funniest was Albert Collins busting my chops for, 'being the only tall skinny white boy in Austin that doesn't play the guitar.'  Every time he saw me there after he'd ask me if I had a guitar yet.  Antone's staff used to let me in the kitchen/dish room area and listen to the bands. I was in that kitchen the night before the raid. I had no idea all that weed was in there.

Holy shit. Reminds me that one night in the late 80's, drunk and high,  that we decided to frisbee a stack of plates out on to Guadalupe from Milto's patio. They put up some lattice shortly after. Good times. Sorry if you had to deal with us.

Couldn't make it to the first commercial break. Just seemed too forced and trite.

I haven't especially missed the show over the past 20 years, and based on what little I saw, I don't feel like I'll miss anything this time around.

I almost turned it off at that point, but they seem to shake some of the rust off as it went along.
