  1. I’m not sure I’m understanding. Are you saying the Ds that voted for that act embraced a hard line on immigration? If so, that’s a great representation of the problem. The majority of the country doesn’t think that’s hard line. At all. They gained the credibility of changing positions in the face of changing circumstances and realigning with most of their constituents.
  2. Ripple effects from the Delaware/Tesla ruling. Shoutout to that Judge. Texas owes you one!

  4. Hmm, not so sure about that. Fed has already started rate cutting cycle. Rates have to be lower to rollover short term debt. Also, long term our economy needs inflation to address debt burden.

  6. It's a wide ranging thing. Lost all 7 swing states. Lost popular vote. Worst ever party approval rating. Some things are easier than others. The first step is always admitting there's a problem. Look at the issues where Trump's positions are popular. Immigration. Take a look at the Laken Riley Act. Every D swing state Senator voted for it, and also the two NH senators. They can see which way this thing is blowing. There's no reason that every single other D Senator voted against. It shows a lack of understanding of the current political environment. It should be ok to say that if you are here illegally and you're arrested for burglary or theft that DHS will detain you. Dems don't have to be the party of "law and order", but it can't be disregarded. Look at NJ, NY, Illinois, California. All those states moved far to the right this cycle. I would say part of that has to be the deteriorating conditions in their urban centers. What part of the coalition do you lose if you modestly tougher on crime and immigration? Hispanics? They're already halfway out the door, especially in the places you'd think the opposite would've happened. That's a red flag right there. African Americans? I don't think you lose them. College educated? I don't think so. So why maintain this stance? No Unfortunately the simple answers look easy right now. Have to watch and wait for mistakes and pounce. Otherwise, the gender gap is also a problem. I'm not sure how the message delivery can be tweaked to appeal more to younger men. The PC/scold thing isn't working.

  8. How many regular daily users or whatever does this site have?
  9. This is sad. Y’all just made my point. If our overall message/policy has 30% approval, then we need to change that if we have any hope of actually making good things happen
  10. That falls on deaf ears. Most media is left leaning. Does Elon/twitter totally overwhelm that advantage? That poll is alarming to me. That isn’t just tweak this or that. That is saying we have the wrong positions.
  11. Here’s the deal guys. We let in people basically unfettered for years. This is the backlash. I don’t like it, but it’s extremely predictable. Better than calling people racists is asking why Democratic party has worst approval rating in the history of the poll. https://x.com/aaronblake/status/1884679073953178046?s=46 An absolutely brutal @QuinnipiacPoll for Democrats: Republican Party: 43% favorable, 45% unfavorable (-2) Democratic Party: 31% favorable, 57% unfavorable (-26) at some point we have to stop saying it’s the messaging. The amplitude of these numbers don’t suggest it’s that. It’s the message. We have to do better.
  12. Anything unique about this potential assailant?
  13. You know you can tease him at first. You don’t have to pull the whole thing in your mouth right away.
  14. My oldest just got his driver's license and i added him to our auto insurance today, so this hits close to home. Ouch. As for the site, have any specific forums shown any growth over the last couple years?

  16. I'm not a pilot, have no military experience, and have only been to DC a few times in my life so I have no insight into whether or not that is a good place for training flights. I'm sure that if decision makers had believed there was any significant chance of a mid-air collision with a commercial airliner, then they wouldn't be using that space. Therefore, your implication even if sarcastic, that this was a tradeoff that was considered was asinine. Not funny, not witty, not insightful. You should try to sequester whatever part of your brain that thought you should share that with people. It's probably hurting you in every day life. Hope that clears it up.
  17. The first two typical no's are women. Collins and Murkowski. I think falling back on figuring out chronic illness and kids gets him through. They won't vote no. There's a sizable female contingent that vocally wants this guy in there. It sucks that the health of our country has become so shitty that a guy like this is seen as a viable alternative to try anything to change course.
  18. maybe they're actual criminals?
  19. Interesting that this is the one broad issue with most support from voters. 61%-35% approve of downsizing Federal govt. Not sure if this is the way to make it happen. Also, 48-41 approve of immigration policy. So, he would be wise to focus on these, but he won't. Scorched Earth is his way.
  20. There is Youtube shorts. It is deemed inferior. When the great tiktok ban of 2025 occurred, I suggested this and my kids laughed at me. Then Trump saved it, as they saw it.

Who is News Guard? https://x.com/DeItaone/status/1884616963433099410 DEEPSEEK'S CHATBOT ACHIEVES 17% ACCURACY, TRAILS WESTERN RIVALS IN NEWSGUARD AUDIT Chinese AI startup DeepSeek's chatbot achieved only 17% accuracy in delivering news and information in a NewsGuard audit that ranked it tenth out of eleven in a comparison with its Western competitors including OpenAI's ChatGPT and Google Gemini.
