  1. One day trial for the new mode.
  2. It's amazing how OSU and all of their prick fans try to tie Herman to this scandal.
  3. http://austinfound.blog.statesman.com/2015/08/27/a-brief-history-of-the-city-of-austins-flag/ It's pretty awful
  4. Crush the Orange! Also, I like it. Good throwback to the Treaty Oak (also pride rock at Zilker) and a nice color scheme. Will be interesting to see what the final jerseys are and whether they use stripes, hoops, or go with a solid color.
  5. Imagine getting caught cheating before you play a single game.
  6. I'd highly recommend reading the report Australia put out (Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse). From their executive summary:
  7. Pretty sure McMurphy is going to drop a bomb after the "suspension" is announced. Also, what a horrible look for the university.
  8. Mond in that offense would be hilarious. It's equivalent to putting Swoopes in a 5 and 7 step, read heavy offense.
  9. In other news, the guy who punched Novak (TCU TE) was acquitted. https://www.mystatesman.com/news/crime--law/man-acquitted-punch-that-injured-tcu-football-player-cole-novak/bvVZoQSl4H3qqr7VsFV8VN/
  10. I think I would trust the Safeties more. More talent and good coaching as well.
  11. I think it comes back to the power within the church and for years how they've never really been examined by the government as they were judged by their peers only for generations (privilegium fori). Due to this, you have the community deny that abuse could happen for so many years as priests were viewed with infallibility and couple that with Bishops and Cardinals who believe its best for the name of the church to not be tarnished by these accusations. Children are an easy target too as they are more easy to dismiss than young adults/adults and due to the availability with alter servers, education, etc. Due to these things, cover-ups occur instead of contacting the authorities, and the church still fights against releasing many of their records to this day. They really need to be much more cooperative with authorities and bring the priests that committed or covered up the abuse to justice/ex-communicate and defrock them. The report also mentioned removing the statue of limitations to be charged for child abuse and allow for victims to sue the church regardless of the time, both of which should be done. The victims deserve justice.
  12. Wrong WR coach, moron. https://247sports.com/college/texas/Bolt/Bryan-Carrington-burns-Ohio-State-Buckeyes-coach-You-wanted-to-be-at-Texas-Longhorns-recruiting--116635447/
  13. Diablo III to the Switch https://kotaku.com/diablo-iii-is-coming-to-switch-later-this-year-1828367234
  14. Pulling Casemiro really flipped the game. Atletico was able to dominate the last portion of the second half and the overtime. This might be a wake-up call to Perez. The players that came in, sans Modric, are nowhere near the depth needed for a team that wants to compete in multiple competitions.
  15. And to follow up on this, I fully support Bishop Donald Wuerl being in jail based on this: http://www.mcall.com/news/breaking/mc-nws-pa-pittsburgh-diocese-porn-ring-20180815-story.html
  16. Did Pool put her Mizunos on yet?
  17. I imagine 7-4 will be the final tally.
  18. New uniforms look fantastic.
  19. Problem is, even with the new council set-up, the NIMBYs will almost always win. As long as the development is in East Austin or where the poor live, they don't give a shit as they see their property value skyrocket.
  20. You can look at secular institutions and find molesters as well. Penn State is a great example of this, as is Ohio State with the wrestling coach, and that's not even beginning to look at all of the teachers in those states as well. It's awful from the church perspective as they should be the leaders in morals, which they clearly failed and should pay the price. They should be in jail and they should have to pay, but the Catholic Church isn't the only place where molestation have occurred. Microsoft is a for-profit business. They do get a tax break for their charitable contributions, but they have a board, stock, etc. Churches clearly aren't the same, and while the sexual abuse scandal has been awful, they still provide a whole host of services (hospitals, education, etc) to the general public.
