  1. Madrid getting rid of Ronaldo and Modric in the same window would be a disaster. Modric is getting older and this wouldn't be the worst time to sell, but Madrid would absolutely need to examine the squad and reinforce it. Kovacic hasn't proven that he's anywhere near Modric in terms of class, and Ceballos is very unproven. Seems more and more likely that Madrid are just making this a throwaway season, which doesn't make too much sense considering how poor they were in the league and cup last season.
  2. Assuming that the girl who is shooting is the villain of the film (beyond the Life Foundation), I'm guessing Scream.
  3. New trailer: Looks pretty generic and no Carnage. However, still good to see that they'll use the transformation more than just once.
  4. Throw in another unnamed statewide race, and it makes me sad that I'm leaving the city before this ballot.
  5. I'd agree with his failings on defense which really didn't fit with the system that FC Dallas had. Ulloa is just better at it, even if he got destroyed for the first SKC goal this weekend. Based on the limited amount of the Rapids game I saw, I think it'll be a good fit as he was definitely given a much more free role to go forward then he did at Dallas. Also, Barrios getting a hat trick was insane. There's been some bonkers performances from some of the more criticized FCD players recently with him and Tesho against ATL.
  6. If y'all like Hardcore History, there's some other really good shows out there too. Tides of History is doing some things on the Hundred Years War which is great. One of the hosts also did History Matters which ties modern trends to events in history. Also, History of Fire's series about the Lakota and Custer was really good as well. For the Longhorns, it's tough to find something better than one of the groups from HornsCast.
  7. He'll more than likely get backup minutes as I don't think he'll start over Messi, Suarez, Dembele, or Coutinho as he plays way too much in the same spaces as the previous players. A bit of a step back for his career, imo, and I bet we'll see him move in 2 years for less than what they paid.
  8. Paladin's just became free to start on Switch. Can't wait to have something for the road. https://www.nintendo.com/games/detail/paladins-switch
  9. I see Herman was on the payment plan too.
  10. I came here wanting to point out that compostable straws are great and getting much more economical, but that ban is ridiculous.
  11. It also is neglecting that the shove came after he drew customers out of the store from being so unruly, and that he had threatened to shoot someone once before. He's a piece of shit that should be in jail. e: And based on previous reports, the guy had been known to assault/harass others at the same place. He was looking for a fight.
  12. Yup, hopefully they do charge the guy. He's threatened other people that he would shoot them too (https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-nation/wp/2018/07/21/hes-accused-of-killing-someone-in-a-parking-spot-dispute-authorities-say-he-was-standing-his-ground/?noredirect=on&utm_term=.389a9a5f91de).
  13. It's odd as his comments have been pretty subdued. I was expecting a big push for Neymar, Mbappe, or even Icardi, but it doesn't seem like it's going to come at all. Hell, he even had this quote today which isn't a good sign for a Hazard transfer:
  14. It's a great haul for FC Dallas, but it still hurts to see someone who has been at the club leave. If it's true that they talked to him beforehand, it makes it a lot easier to swallow. Hopefully playing in Colorado will help him regain his form as he's been pretty poor, and the NYRB substitution was pretty damning of what Pareja thinks of him.
  15. I wouldn't be surprised to see Madrid push for Werner. He had a disappointing WC, but he's still a great player with a reasonable price.
  16. Bonkers how much they added to this too. There's a portion with VoG-esque Oracles that provides a schematic for a ship. Wish they did more stuff like this to begin with.
  17. Are we not going to talk about the Pablo Aranguiz signing? Massive stuff. On a more serious note, sounds like Napoli is trying to get Cavani. Would be an interesting fit, though it would make sense for him to go and balance the books in an area that PSG has a ton of talent.
  18. Except it's not a national story whenever the opposing coach does it and most non-UT fans take pleasure whenever people do the horns down or call it borderline erotic. We are the evil empire despite our record, so who gives a shit about taking the high road, particularly when the Mizzou players were being shits in the week leading up to the game. I'm glad we have a coach that actually fires up his team to do something about it instead of the blank stare into nothing.
  19. That's funny as every game we play, we have the opposing coaching staff doing the horns down.
  20. If he had a problem with it, don't publicly broadcast it on Twitter where it becomes a national story and hurts the school.
  21. Epstein bought a billboard over Posse East criticizing the city for siding with a stadium over children's health. Perhaps he should spend his money improving the roads into the clusterfuck that is COTA.
  22. And if you get out hustled by a team that's playing in it's third consecutive game to go to ET. I was amazed that Crotia was able to turn the heat on so significantly later on in the game when they should be the ones collapsing.
  23. This is why England is UGA. Good thing the core is relatively young.
