  1. Miami lost to a Louisville team 4-4 in the ACC. I've been told bad losses are disqualifying.
  2. And most teams above us have a similar wtf loss. The UF loss isn't uniquely terrible at all.
  3. I think the selection process is better. 4 was better than 12. 6 or 8 is probably the sweet spot. Bowl games are undoubtedly worse and probably dying, which is honestly worse than the conference stacking.
  4. Playoff format isn't the issue with college football. Lack of standardized scheduling and a growing unbalance between conferences are the main issues. Is the CFP any better than the BCS was? Still no one schedules good OOC matchups, selection process still largely ignores body of work and scheduling, teams with a shot to win are left out in favor of "feelsgood" teams.
  5. UGA needed a lot of ref help to make it where they are. At a minimum they lose to a terrible Auburn team.
  6. B12 conference removed two bluebloods and added 4 easy wins. It wasn't as bad as the ACC until we left.
  7. Not trying to fuel hope, but one of the Foxsports writers published his ballot and had us 9th.
  8. The 3rd loss is tOSU because it's a game that's not necessary and that most teams wouldn't schedule.
  9. If two losses is the only practical standard, then schedule like Indiana, Tech, and Notre Dame do.
  10. Compare our losses to Bama's. Georgia > OU Florida > FSU It's not the bad loss that hurt us.
  11. Citrus or Reliquest vs Michigan or USCw
  12. Vandy actually has a good offense. It keeps them in games.
  13. For at least 10 minutes into Q1.
  14. Expanding the current format won't be the way forward. We are moving toward a P2 invitational where B1G/SEC get multiple guaranteed spots and everyone else is at large.
  15. I don't think so. Last year's committee seemed to look forward and rank based on teams winning out. This year they've jockied teams each week based on weekly outcomes.
  16. BYU is the easy target because they are actually not good. It's like SMU last year. ND, Miami, A&M, and Utah actually look like good teams when they play.
  17. We have to pass Miami and them losing is insurance in case the committee doesn't do the right thing.
  18. It's this you double digit IQs. We are somewhere #6-8 if we didn't play tOSU.
  19. We have played 4 playoff teams and outperformed 3 of them. This team isn't a favorite, but it's good enough to take a decent shot.
  20. We certainly gave the committee something to think about. Have the feeling we will be last in or first out.
  21. Arch for Heisman
  22. No. Stadium paid like $10MM just for the year.
  23. Interception on a QB draw might be a first.
  24. I forgot they put OU at 8. That's insane, so probably not.
