  1. Breakdown: Early season Vegas is bad. Strike quickly and cash out early.
  2. Yeah. I was hyped up when the show idea was first floated around like a decade ago. Limited series focused on a Sith assassin in the High Republic Era? Can't possibly lose, right? Han would shoot first.
  3. I am just gonna dump from my model here. Full disclosure: there are always random misfits in the preseason. Also, transfers out are easy to quantify, but I have no idea what I'm doing with transfers in. Preseason ranking isn't really my focus, these mostly help my model not be completely random the first 5 weeks, take this as a list of potentially good teams and some are more reliable than others. Top resumes are listed as if teams end up undefeated. Next column is the same rank but with 1-loss resumes. It's basically two measures of SoS right now. Kentucky is the hardest schedule to go undefeated with, but Florida/Michigan/Sparty are tough to even end with 1-loss. If you are betting, my model likes Mizzou against Vegas to make CCG. Ole Miss is probably underrated due to transfers. Texas might fall into that category, also, but the model liked what we returned so it's less so. For Texas: Simple is the simple ranking. There is no complex ranking in the preseason, so just accept it for now. Reliability is what it means. For now, it's how predictable you are based on last year and roster churn. Good offenses are not usually low on this metric because it easier to predict teams that are unable to score (Iowa is #1). This is also why the top 25 above favors defense.
  4. You should have stopped at the first part. Cybercrimes from US to France and vice versa are handled by treaty. They can't prosecute someone tweeting from the U.S.
  5. That's not how criminal complaints filed in France work. The most France could do is ask the US to prosecute him under a similar law, which we don't have because of 1A. But I am here to be in on 420.

    Texas RB Talk

    Which is 3rd string now
  7. Not sure what I was expecting, but this ain't it.
  8. I think she's kind of an idiot that knows enough buzz words to appeal to other idiots. The protection of a mentor in a master-apprentice and even father-child relationship is not the same thing as benign sexism. Or that's what she actually meant, but she wrote the show completely wrong. This might be more likely because the show was written that Osha killed Sol because he killed her Mom and has been lying to her.
  9. I'm out for revenge on the jedi that killed my mom and destroyed my community. Nevermind, I'm not. Wait...Yes, I am. Nah. Or am I? Ciritcs: MYSTERY!!!
  10. My wife and I just just finished. She's so upset she won't talk about the series.
  11. Romeo and Juliet matches this description.
  12. The average TE drafted in the first 3 rounds is 6'4" 255
  13. All the coach and player facilities were redone in 2021. They are not outdated at all.
  14. It's not "so bad that it is good" like Cats or old Batman & Robin. It's pretty bad for Star Wars, but it's no worse than any random thing on Netflix. It's on a decent enough foundation, like a synopsis of the show would read pretty well. It's just poorly executed. They supposedly had two rewrites/reshoots and it shows. This past episode was supposed to be the flashback revealing "what really happened." Turns out that nothing important has changed and the motivations of the main characters still don't make a whole lot of sense.
  15. The wife and I finally watched Ep 6 last night. Her thoughts at the end summarize the show perfectly: "How many episodes are left?" "2 more." "So not enough to make the show any better."

    Arcane

I am surprised this doesn't have a thread. Maybe because it started out relatively unknown and grew over time. For those who haven't seen Season 1: It's hard to compare to anything. The animation style is truly unique, it is an emotional rollercoaster, amazingly written characters, with iconic action scenes interspersed. I went into the show competely blind and that's how I would recommend it. There's apparently decades of an entire video game world behind it that I didn't even know about until after finishing the series. None of that matters because the show really does stand alone. I originally had put it on to distract the kids while I got them ready for bed. Because there was a "cartoon" on the top 10 section on Netflix and I don't pay attention to parental ratings, what could possibly go wrong? Anyway that lasted like 10 seconds, I told a friend this story and he was like, "It's a really good show. There's two sisters and they are trying to reunite, at least watch through episode 3," which is like the undersell of the year. --- Anyway: Season 2 trailer CONTAINS SPOILERS. DONT WATCH IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN SEASON 1.
  17. Finn said something in FA about being taken away from his home and family at a young age, "like most troopers." First Order operated like 3rd-world warlords do to build its forces.
  18. Ep5 was much better primarily because there was actual action. The writing wasn't actually much better. Spoilers:
  19. I laughed when the other one died. The worst character ever.
  20. You say this like the last two Star Wars series didn’t have 4 different characters get stabbed in the chest and left for dead, then just walk it off later.
  21. They did two separate rewrites. The original budget was $75MM, which is still plenty of money. Revenge of the Sith had a budget a tad over $100MM
  22. Alright I'm just going to spoiler this whole post to be safe. I think it's mostly worthless as I don't have faith that the storywriters have put something logical and consistent together, but it is fun nonetheless: My wife bowed out last night. It's only 8 episodes, right? Am I pot committed?
