  1. I went ahead and made this based on projections from my model. They are going into the teeth of their schedule, That projected total is 211 - well short of the goal.
  2. UGA looks like a completely different team this game. Maybe they can just flip a switch when they want to.
  3. Too dumb for words.
  4. You.mean it still a safety when a QB flails the ball at a lineman? Weird.
  5. No they were SEC. SEC was overbooked last year when we played in Austin, so we had home team refs for both games.
  6. This is me. I'm mad that we made mistakes and lost, but we got the rematch.
  7. I figured there's some rowdy and some not like most everywhere else. Texas and GT are on bye next week. I'm hoping UGA-Vanderbilt tickets are cheap and the schedule is clear next week for a noon game.
  8. Yeah. It's always been this. Phantom holding calls vs borderline no-calls. The problem isn't really the no-calls. Like the way they no-called PI in the 4th on Worthy vs the bizarre call for forcing a WR OOB 30 yards away from where the ball was thrown.
  9. Texas 31 Oklahoma 21 Rushing 130 yds
  10. I don't buy that RBs get used up / wore out. It's a position where the difference between 2nd / 3rd and starter isn't usually big enough to justify paying out a second contract. The way to have running success in the NFL right now is to keep defenses away from the box. Generally, upgrading at WR will help the running game more than upgrading at RB.
  11. #3 is holding a part turkey, part goat, part football, with horns. And stuff like this always amuses me, so close and so far at the same time:

    Fuck Big 12 refs

It's different for this year. The defense is on a 5-second clock I believe after the finishes its subsitutition. They wanted to make the first 10 seconds of every snap a substitution period, but that was majorly opposed by the coaches.

    Fuck Big 12 refs

I looked into this because I've seen it other games. The refs are holding the ball when they play goes out-bounds into the offense's bench even when the offense doesn't substitute. This actually makes a whole lot of sense as the refs can't really keep track of every player entering and leaving the sideline, and the offense can't try to fool the officials/defense with a quick swap. Basically, they are told to hold the ball when players leave the bench area even if it is not a subsititute.
  14. Yeah. I've been wanting to say this in the "left behind" thread everytime one of them says they will have a better shot at TV slots with TX/OU gone. That's not how it works. They are still competing with the 20 or so other P5 games that they always have been.
  15. The last time we opened an OU game with one it went for a 75 yard TD.
  16. I think the stat they were going for was most yards for Texas (661) in a B12 conference game, which edges out that Tech game.
  17. This was apparently the most yards ever by a Texas team, and the most yards by a single team ever in a Big 12 match. I can't confirm, but someone said so.
  18. TIL that there are 35 AP voters who don't watch football and have UGA #1 still.
  19. But have we scored 41?
  20. When was the last time Oklahoma won as an underdog?
  21. Meh. They don't look nearly the same. Everyone out here in Atlanta is doing the thing that we have for the past decade. The "Just win" thing where everyone knows any week can be a loss and it's just a matter of when.
  22. 1 Texas - best resume, best overall team, win over #12 2 Michigan (+1) - best defense 3 Washington (-1) 4 Penn State (+4) 5 USC (-1) - best offense 6 Oregon (+6) 7 Oklahoma (-2) 8 Florida State (-1) 9 Kentucky (+16) 10 Maryland (+7) 11 Ohio State (-5) - win over #19 very meh overall schedule though 12 Alabama (+4) - loss to #1 13 Washington State (+1) 14 Texas A&M (+5) - loss to #22 These four teams would not appear in a Power ranking, but deserve credit for being undefeated: 15 Air Force (NR) 16 Fresno State (NR) 17 North Carolina (-8) 18 Georgia (-5) 19 Notre Dame (+1) - win over #20, loss to #11, most difficult schedule to date 20 Duke (-9) - loss to #19 21 Ole Miss (NR) - loss to #12 22 Miami (-3) - win over #14 23 Missouri (NR) - very sneakily undefeated, but would be left out of power ranking 24 Wisconsin (-1) - loss to #13 25 Rutgers (-3) - loss to #2
  23. Yeah. My kids are having a blast right now.
