  1. So it's completely untrue that he's picking a school based on program, best fit, and where he wants to go to school?
  2. They must have gotten UO backwards.
  3. Most athletic brands are off limits. They either conflict with or have entanglements with school deals that NCAA does not allow.
  4. Yes. Three Adidas guys just got out(?) of federal prison.
  5. Miami is very much in the middle of a swamp as well.
  6. Who was going to sign tomorrow and announce at a AA game? Was that McDonald?
  7. I agree that it is a penalty. The WR is clearly trying to restrict the defenders path to the ball.
  8. One of the knocks on him was the offense he was playing in Jr year. They were rpo-screen and quick pass heavy. He didn't have the volume of intermediate and deep routes that other targets did, and his average reception was pretty low. Not sure if senior season fixed that.

    Fuck Big 12 refs

There were a lot of bad calls this year, but this one takes the cake, imo.
  10. Geez what a loaded question. McDonald is being talked about for everything from CB to LB. Splitting the difference, he is probably a nickel right now, but weight gains will determine his position more than anything. Will LB probably makes the most sense long term. I think most teams are recruiting him as a LB, some might see a safety. Akana is projected as an edge, but he's probably not growing into an even front DE. Many teams are recruiting him as an off-ball LB. We are targeting him at Buck, but we've been recruiting bigger bodies there. His biggest upside, imo, is playing the DMO role (even front Will and odd front edge).
  11. Yeah. I see portal working out this way. Take more of the high risk, high reward out of HS. 1) If they don't work out, easy to process. 2) If they do work out elsewhere, there's no guarantee they'd be available in the portal.
  12. I'm trying to imagine the hellscape aggy dwell in where offseason is typically better than season.
  13. He shorter and lighter than listed. I think he'd make a decent OLB, but hard for him to play with his hand on the ground.
  14. Alright. Alright. Alright.
  15. Tank is such a worn out DT nickname, I'll allow it if he can play like this guy ...just make sure he knows how coin tosses work
  16. His offense meshes well with Jimbo's, in all the ways aggy should be looking to get away from.
  17. Hopefully, we wouldn't be looking at high school DTs to fill in next year. I doubt we'll have the same caliber rotation we did this year, but that's asking for a lot. Also, am I the only one that thinks Spencer grows into a DT or are you guys writing him off already?
  18. #3 on defense. The Foster comparison is both appropriate and generous.
  19. 33 total. Not sure how many were seniors.
  20. I'm not really disagreeing with anyone. 40s are a poor measure of athleticism. 5.0 isn't terrible for a TE. It's not great for a guy in a WR body, but if he can add weight AND doesn't slow down it's not terrible at all. The shuttle time is a better indicator of athleticism, and his was not good at all.
  21. A decent amount of NFL TEs run 5.0s. But not at 225 lbs. And they don't run 4.7 shuttles at any weight.
  22. Isn't it the opposite case about HS LBs? Not too long ago college's wanted 240-260 run-stuffing LBs, and that body was extremely rare to find at the HS level. The modern LB is a much easier find.
  23. And most HS coaches don't have the overall talent on hand to 'waste' an athletic 6'4"+ player at TE. They either play defense or get flexed out too much for a good eval.
