  1. IMO best overall product is Tesla. Hyundai/Kia new-generation stuff is a close 2nd. If you index on lux and comfort, best is BMW iX. If you want performance, best is Taycan. New Polestar 3 looks awfully attractive though... In Europe, almost all cars share same charging format as Tesla (CCS2), and Superchargers opened up to them before the US. Has not impacted SC availability at all.
  2. Oh its the Toyota Mathematica
  3. The employees must tire of instructing to first-time renters. “okay, what happens if i dont buy the damage waiver?” “and how much gas do i put into it?”
  4. These numbers never matter. If these banks dont actually trade on these numbers, neither should anyone else. When these analysts/strategists publish these targets, its only to serve as marketing fodder and brand reinforcement to advertise their thinking process. Same shit with management consulting blog posts, briefs, and white papers. Its shallow…and pedantic
  5. 9 inches? how does the colon take that length?
  6. insurance adjuster when he receives both videos
  7. havent you thought to ask... why ARENT you in Dallas?
  8. welp, let's burn down another city in protest
  9. You can put a silicone mat on the cooktop so you dont need to be as gentle with the cookware. Magnetic field works through the silicone so heating efficiency shouldnt be much affected. https://www.ikea.com/nl/en/p/baktradition-baking-mat-white-turquoise-60480167/ This mat withstands 450F. Common oven liner products are said to withstand up to 500, 600F. For size matching the rule is match the size of pan to the cooktop, but if there's a mismatch, use the larger cooktop grid... which is not a problem for induction because only the part in contact with the pan will heat up.
  10. AI being genuinely useful. I asked Microsoft Copilot to rephrase those paragraphs as a normal person would instead of a psychopath: 1. I want to join a strategy session and use my skills to help. I look for better, cheaper ways to improve. As a leader and team player, I share ideas and challenges to work together. I support having a diverse team for better results. I find solutions before presenting problems and welcome feedback to improve. I’m not afraid to challenge the norm and push for better outcomes. 2. I turn leadership strategies into clear actions and goals. I promote a customer-focused, innovative, and continuously improving culture to help the company grow. I create systems to track progress and measure success. I build partnerships across teams to improve processes. I lead events to expand market reach and increase brand awareness. I develop and mentor staff through onboarding, communication, training, and performance management, ensuring the team is motivated and has the right skills.
  11. You know what they say once they go shaq they dont come baq
  12. Everyone makes fun of contrived corpospeak. This is from the profile of a native-english speaker working in our marketing & communications department, if you can believe that: This is her description of her previous stint outside the company. Across her entire career her actual job is as a coordinator for trade show events... education ... graduated "Cum Laude" from.... *drumroll*........ DeVry University
  13. i love getting 23 miles out of my tires
  14. The grammatical rule that quotations dont need to be closed if they end a paragraph. If you ask me, it’s a “terrible stylistic practice.
  15. The Model S is 600# lighter than that for 300 more horsepower lol
  16. TV shows with bad and long intros feel so self-indulgent and gratuitous. Succession is terrible. The Star Wars stuff is nice—good music with the helmet renders and then its over in a jiffy, onto the meat of the show.
  17. i stayed at a Four Points in Houston once and found a 16 year old porno mag right under the tv dresser thing. So either that hotel hadn't been renovated or cleaned in a decade, or some recent guest was a connoisseur of vintage tittays
