  1. if three different people are going to neg rep this comment then at least one of you should make a case that says that Charlie Ward has a better athletic resume than the names I listed.
  2. speaking of special teams, how about Beau Trahan and Michael Ungar?
  3. Rakim and Nas when they're in NYC, OutKast when they're in Atlanta...too many others to remember, but yes, the soundtrack has been awesome. edit: Oh yeah, last night they played "Connected" by Stereo MC's, one of my all time favorite songs. again, awesome soundtrack.
  4. Ike Hilliard and Reidel Anthony: edit: can't believe i can't find any highlights of Anthony on youtube.
  5. Carl Lewis, Jackie Robinson, Dave Winfield, Bo Jackson, Herschel Walker, Deion Sanders, Jim Thorpe, Babe Didrikson Zaharias, and more >> Charlie Ward, but yeah, winning the Heisman and then having an NBA career is pretty sick.
  6. who remembers "Famous" Amos Zereoue? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Someone did this thread on the hoops board back on TOS and it was an enjoyable trip down memory lane. The impetus for me starting this thread right now is this IG post from VY: And who did I see commenting on that post? None other than the helmet defecator himself, Tommie Harris. I had totally forgotten about that guy, despite how much I used to hate him. Crazy for me to think that it's been 17 years since he was playing at OU. Time flies. OU still sucks.
  8. damn, you weren't kidding. i was pretty hammered the first time i watched, so i threw the special back on in the background right now while i get some work done, and as soon as i looked up and saw his face i audibly reacted. his cheeks are so wide they extend beyond his ears. definitely noticed it this time around. follow-up question for hg: what's in the water in LA that makes everyone (including the men) do this? i recently googled the guy who played Martin Keamy on LOST, and even he has had a bunch of work done on his face. Meaning even the guy who will only be typecast as a bad guy/villain is getting surgery to make him look more young and girlish. what is the deal?
  9. lots of old black dudes have those jaundiced looking eyes, even when they're sober. i've never known why that was, but it's not that uncommon.
  10. it's one of the biggest things that i tell my kids (at my school) that separates the two: LBJ has made it clear from the beginning that his goals are totally different than MJ's. LeBron wants to be a mogul, he wants to be Jay Z, he wants to be a billionaire; and he also wants to be everyone's friend. he's probably the most physically gifted athlete in the history of sport, but his goals and desires stretch way beyond the scope of winning basketball games/titles, whereas Michael just wants to crush and destroy anyone who competes with him at anything. If LeBron had that sort of singular mindset and drive then he'd probably have 6+ titles himself, and would actually be considered better than MJ by many.
  11. A thread for Jomboy videos.
  12. KD isn't a defensive liability. That's a fact.
  13. well duh, but that still doesn't make KD a liability on defense.
  14. KD might not be an all time great defender, but he's definitely not a liability.
  15. that's exactly what i felt. he's the only guy who can't guard anybody. at least with Steph he himself is pretty unguardable.
  16. I wish they'd have replaced Stockton with Steph. That would have made it especially tough for me to decide.
  17. Kalani might be the biggest smoke show to ever appear on this show, my God:
