  1. that's how i feel about most of my own posts. /derka'd
  2. the fuck? now only certain posts in the thread are fair game to respond to? how is someone directly addressing both me and Barnes "a bat signal" in your eyes? fuck outta here. how about you chumps stop whining every single time i respond to a post about him? or is every post i make a bat signal for your tired. whiny, crap?
  3. they're two different things. buyouts don't change year on year and usually involve severance packages for the assistant coaches. but hey, we're Texas basketball fans, so who cares if we know what we're talking about, so long as we're angry and entitled.
  4. when? you mean when i replied to someone else who brought him up?
  5. it's not a buyout, it's a guaranteed contract.
  6. btw i watched this game while downing scotches at the hotel bar here in fucking beautiful St.Louis USA, so bully for me. in a cold, midwestern, butthole of a city with nothing better to do than watch Texas lose to fucking Baylor. but hey, the burger slammed, so it's not a total loss of a night.
  7. Royce Hamm made the #6 play on Sprtscenter, MORAL VIXTORI HOLLLAAAAAAA!!!!!
  8. I've done extensive posting on this, as it's easily one of the biggest misconceptions about Rick Barnes during his time at Texas. He was a better offensive coach than he was defensive coach, and it's not even close. He regularly orchestrated some of the top scoring offenses in the nation, and was better overall at AdjO at Texas than he was at AdjD. How easily people forget how badass we were offensively for more than a decade under Barnes, all the way through 2011. We ran some of the most uptempo, high scoring, fun-to-watch offenses in the country under Rick Barnes. That's a fact.
  9. we don't hire known cheaters, and especially not ones who don't play an attractive style of basketball.
  10. me, you, tx3putt, hitby, and LHG vs the Texas starting five, with Shaka as their coach- who wins?
  11. Ramey passes on the wide open pull-up from the elbow so that he can drive into traffic and then throw the ball out of bounds. But hey; at least our coach is an outstanding guy. Can't have everything right? Can't have a cool uncle and get to kiss a girl on the mouth. Can't have a great guy at HC and also demand he do well at his job.
  12. i love how often we "make the extra pass" when the guy who is making said pass is wide open and the guy he's passing it to is covered.
  13. sign of a Shaka Smart team: when nothing is there in transition, just force some something anyway, every single time. don't even think about dribbling back out and running offense. jesus.
  14. another example of where basketball needs the "advantage played" rule.
  15. oh yeah, forgot about that. gonna need AJ to have another great night.
  16. i don't know why but i feel like we hit a bunch of threes and keep it close. i'm certain that Shaka and co. will do everything they can to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, but i still think it's gonna be close for whatever reason.
  17. reminds me of the famous Norm McDonald interview on Conan, when Conan is talking to CTS about Carrot Top doing his first major film. "And he uses a lot of props?" "No, no props in the movie." "Oh they took away his props; kind of a bad time to take away everything you know about comedy."
  18. nah, Marshall is a real prick who wouldn't fit in well in Austin. Good coach; really good coach even- just not a fit in Austin. as soon as he didn't produce the entire fan base would turn on him.
  19. when i read "you choose if its amazing or a blunder" i thought you were going to post this: which for me is the most amazing goal i've seen in a long while. he does it too perfectly for that to be an accident. i mean i already was amazed when Henry used to pass the ball like that; to score a first time volley off that?! just amazing.
  20. then in that case it should be deemed "advantage played", something i was imploring the league to adopt for years back on TOS, and something that they have sort of already implemented with the ability to "play advantage" before calling a technical foul on someone.
