  1. Burn! Or as the young ones say Roast!
  2. This! We run too many long developing runs and the opposing teams are ultra aggressive getting into the backfield instead of staying in their gap. We need to just go forward to get started off. Then do the motion stuff.
  3. UT 31 Clemson 10 Yards 287
  4. What’s the stats on 2 or 3 time transfer panning out? pass
  5. Placement could be better yes. But that was really a great play by their db. He didn’t look worried about bond running by him as he normally should hence the tight coverage. Bond still gimpy. More Wingo please.
  6. What I saw was predictable runs with our big humans moving sideways on 1st downs, leading to second and long. oh wait I got a good one for this: play action long developing routes. 3rd and long. Where’s the blitz coming from. Oh shit. the stuff that worked was on hurry up, intermediate routes in between the zones until getting to red zone. in the red zone that space was too small and we didn’t have a mobile quarterback to punish them with qb run, option, etc. it’s why Georgia’s backup was able to move the ball. Outside the 1 big Etienne run both defenses were quite effective.
  7. Didn’t Taafe intercept Ewers in the state championships?
  8. So do we get Boise? Or Clemson? not sure I want to go against that RB though with some time to prepare could be ok. surely they don’t put Texas on same side of Georgia in the bracket.
  9. Their line was on penetrate mode the whole night. So when our lineman starts doing some sideways shit and pulling they blow the play up. A functional rpo game would’ve fucked them up. But Ewers isn’t a threat to run so it’s only rb and slot they got to cover. So LB gets RB and DB get WR no numbers advantage. The one glance route did work great but was really a good play by Moore.
  10. Pretty sure that was just per contract with abc/espn and not an actual attempt at winning in the redzone.
  11. I couldn’t stop laughing at that. 1. Knew game was over as they got the yardage for the first and we weren’t going to be able to stop 4 attempts from the 2. 2. Thought dudes head popped off for a msec. 3. They slow motioned it back to back and just seeing the backup QB face with the realization that I could actually die doing this against Texas versus a high school team was priceless. 4. Makuba, Simmons and Ant hill are bad dudes. Ewers could’ve become a legend but just didn’t have “it”. Now we’ll see but winning 3 more games is a very tall ask! But next year is going to be bonkers with Arch madness.
