Texas Recruiting Notes 2022 - Idiotic Slapfights Unrelated To 2022 Recruiting
Hey croots. Yes we suck but….. LSU sux, A&M sux, Ohio state sux, Alabama sux by extension because of Aggie. and we all know OU Sux, so why not Austin? Shit if the season would’ve gone different damn we could’ve looked mighty good right about now.

Was that due to Alien boy sucking or PK actually being good. Mean pretty damn epic that the then Heisman front runner gets benched for a freshman QB. What’s telling is no adjustments to the Williams run option and tossing up 50:50 balls. though they were more like 95:5 balls with our DBs.

2022 Texas Coaching/Support Staff Thread
Replace PK, choad, Joseph Ash, Akina, Hutzler, samples for Coleman. Have samples and banks recruit every damn position. Becton replace that guy. Guys were gassed all year during 4th quarter and lots of injuries. One thing about Herman’s teams were they played all 4 quarters. I mean the 4th quarter point differential was crazy this year. depth chart yes and honestly a lot of Sam hero ball but perhaps guys were busy doing some fad workout shit instead of functional football strength and stamina. as a more than casual observer strength and conditioning seemed quite worse this year than last couple years.

Who’s got the stats on a true freshman QB being successful with this shitty of an O line. I get that we’re desperate but that’s not a scenario I hope happens. Sure get the guy but get a grad transfer as well.

So Josh Thompson not returning for covid year? Seemed dependable this year hope he gets a spot somewhere

Ro Jo should starts
I agree with that fuck Sark. Plenty of questionable personnel calls by Sark/coaches. Brockermyer/Ford, RoJo or K. Robinson, hell even Dunn or Jamison. A. Collins? Safeties? Not sure there were alternatives. Doesn’t take away from Rojo went beast mode today and is by demonstrable actions a selfless team player that we’d be better having more of on the team. All this for a 4 win team that didn’t give many opportunities for him to personally highlight his skills. Bravo Rojo hope you get a chance in the league. I expect he’s going to make a +5 year career as undrafted free agent as per Texas norms for our high motor high character guys of the last decade.

Sarcasm font “Worthy plays WR right so doesn’t Coleman get credit for his bad ass play?” Freshman all American right? Can’t fire a position coach that has an all American can you”

Yes to the point of improvements in tackling, sacks, pressures, etc. but this was going from Orlando. Is it too much to expect that high school defenders might do a little better in 4 down lineman base defense especially when the state doesn’t seem to produce much LB talent. Ash brought back memories of transition from Manny Diaz. I mean Texas can usually out athlete everyone but Oklahoma so just make the defense simple and let them fly. elaborate defenses seem to just confuse Texas players and result in players being out of position. and can we fucking play within 5 yards of opposing team WRs. D1 QBs are going to dink pass you to death these days. What’s Akina d doing these days well at least abortion of a defense is over. Personally think PK comes back and only maybe 2 position coaches go. Pray it’s enough.

If your goal is NFL. The NFL finds guys on obscure teams all the time so Texas is a viable place these days

Texas Recruiting Notes 2023: Strippers, Monkeys, and 5-Stars
All the olds here not understanding how college station could be lit fail to remember that promiscuous chicks or dudes for that matter can make any shit hole lit. It would be the rare 17 year old boy to appreciate the high rise luxury condos, fancy food snob scene, or hipster music festivals, or opportunities at political activism that are possible in the best city in the land Austin.

So… people are upset by a coach yelling obscenities at >18 year old men? I mean it’s football it’s closest thing to gladiators outside of cage fighting that the modern mob can watch. At any respective level of sport 60 percent of the time “want to” can overcome disinterested talent every time.

Does he get to play immediately? If it were on NCAA 14 QB management would be RS Malik next year, RS Manning following year. Ewers starts next 2 years and bolts. Malik following year and the Manning after that. I mean seriously don’t these kids even NCAA 14? Oh wait probably weren’t big enough to hold an Xbox controller. And dammit when is the NCAA football coming out?

Ewers or Bust- Lord have mercy I’m bout to bust
They’re all JAGs until they can get on the field and do something. He hasn’t just like Arch Manning hasn’t. Sure get them on campus and see but there’s a billion reasons someone doesn’t produce. Mental issues, scheme mismatch, trouble with the law, chicks, dudes, drugs, whatever. My point is he could’ve been the chosen one staying in state and building a class of dogs and getting some leeway. But he left. Now he’s 4th string and not seeing the field. Which is fine. He’s a freshman on a team with studs for years in front of him. Great prove that your the best qb there and you would’ve done something. Every NFL roster has extremely talented dudes. So if you can’t start at Ohio’s state you ain’t starting for the anyone in the NFL. In summary I don’t expect him to be some savior to Texas’s woes. I’ll eat my crow if it comes to pass that he is the second coming

He lost any goodwill with choosing to leave the home state and decommiting. If he wants to come and compete then fine. It’s no guarantee he starts or does anything of use. At this point and even after he potentially came he’s a JAG until he wins some games.

The difference is Texas is still number 1 revenue school despite lost decade. Ohio state Alabama OU feel the $ pain much more if they suck.

Better use of time? Sark and Milwee traveling to New Orleans this week to see Manning and then shitting the bed on Saturday. or not visiting Thursday and putting together a plan for more than just one half of offense. If the defense lost the game maybe wouldn’t be to bad but squarely on the offense this game.
