  1. Damn that was a finish!
  2. Gerry loves the hire, some here love the hire. I read the Arizona record, how he gets fired and then the meh on his second stint at Xavier. Can some here help me as to why I should like the hire other then CDC thought it was a good idea.
  3. Just what was expected at the end. Xavier coach talking like he beat somebody.
  4. P.S. With that now said and out of the way the good news is A&M is still ahead of Texas in my SEC baseball power rankings. - Graham Harmon
  5. I don't hear folks here say we are the most dominant force in football. I hear optimism but also disappointment that Sark did not have the special play needed to get us to the final two years in a row. So why do they think that we think we are football gods and are celebrating? I suspect it is little brother syndrome since they know we are flagship for this state. Just like little brothers often view their older brothers as infallible role models, aggy suppresses that admiration deep down, leaving only envy and resentment to be spewed all over TexAgs.
  6. Oooohh, poooor agggy, if it were only this simple. Here is what Meta AI says about aggy getting laughed at: Here are some reasons why Texas A&M fans, also known as "Aggies," might be teased or laughed at: The 12th Man: While the tradition of the 12th Man is revered by Aggies, others might view it as arrogant or entitled. weird as shit. Reveille: The university's collie mascot, Reveille, is beloved by Aggies. However, some might find it amusing that a dog holds such an important role. The Corp of Cadets: The Corps' strict discipline and uniforms might lead to jokes about shows Aggies being are "military wannabes." Farm-themed jokes: As an agricultural and mechanical university, Texas A&M is often subjected to farm-themed jokes and stereotypes. SEC move: The decision to leave the Big 12 for the SEC led to jokes about Aggies "buying their way" into a more prestigious conference. Johnny Football: The brief, tumultuous career of Johnny Manziel, a.k.a. "Johnny Football," led to jokes about Aggies' inflated sense of self-importance. Overemphasis on tradition: Aggies take pride in their unique traditions, but others might view this emphasis as overly sentimental or stubborn turdition. Rivalry losses: Texas A&M's struggles against rival teams like the University of Texas and LSU might lead to jokes about Aggies being unable to win big games.
  7. I don't think Rodney was an experimental hire; most people knew his prior head coaching record suggested it was unlikely to work out. However, he performed so well in a difficult situation that he earned a chance. When he got hired, I mentally started counting down to who would be the next elite hire, as it was clear Terry wasn't the answer.
  8. I remember the smug faces on these folks when Texas use to complain about the BIG XII outdated commish & refs
  9. I was surprised too but hey we are just at the start with those folks.
  10. I only watched since the 17 - 0 was scored and I have yet to see 52 from KC block anyone. He is always all alone looking around.
  11. OK guys in a few years if Mavs have not won anything and Luka has won like 3 championships folks can start editing the image.
  12. Welcome to the 40 young man.
  13. Both parties see it as a wedge issue. This was solved in 2007 but a republican poison pill and a down vote by Obama killed it at the last minute if I remember correctly. After the beat down Obama gave republicans even Hannity was ready to sign on to the 2007 bill but Obama wanted the wedge issue for 2012 so I don't remember him introducing anything. What I am saying is I agree with your post even though I may have my facts wrong since I am stating all this from memory.
  14. It is frustrating to watch a team not have the play calls that will take advantage of what is coming. The other team makes all the right calls. Corner blitz that gets to the QB and two safe passes that get them first downs.
  15. These guys and the way they think, its' no wonder coaches and administrators feel no pressure. Micah by all accounts as said here and by Gerry was a high risk take and now they all say Elko could not have seen it coming. Then a few of them said they knew it was high risk but were glad the shot was taken. Really, why would they want NIL tied up during the bidding period on a high risk prospect.
  16. I told someone I know that likes Dak that if he signed with the Cowboys he was not serious about ever wanting a championship and was complacent with the money.
  17. I have been saying for years that Jerry turned the Cowboys into the Lions. Based on the Lions recent success the Cowboys have replaced the Lions. You are frustrated because your team is finally showing signs of life. Many of us have been apathetic since Dave Campo was hired. I became a fan as a kid when I was watching Super Bowl X.
  18. I did not know this show kept going.
  19. Watch a Football Life for Troy Aikman and the culture that was left behind by Jimmy is what won that Superbowl. As Troy said Jimmy use to be the bad guy and he had to fill in because Barry was retired on the job and nothing like the coach he was at Oklahoma according to Troy.
  20. Jerrah looks for a coach by unzipping his pants and then judging who sucks the hardest. He still dreams of getting the credit for an SB and a real coach that is seen as driving the bus is not what he wants. Parcells was hired to build the stadium and once that passed he was gone.
  21. He is so happy because it is so familiar they have been here or worse 24 times out of the last 26 seasons.
  22. I say they keep at 12 and have 4 play in games which makes it a 16 team playoff but not really. The P4 conference game participants get auto bids plus 3rd and 4th place from the SEC and BIG host play in games against the highest ranked G5 team plus 3 at large bids on championship weekend. Only reason I favor this is because aggy would probably make the play in game and lose it and still not be able to say they were in the playoffs.
  23. Do I catch some sarcasm in that post that the Message Board Genius AI engine did not detect.
  24. Unless I remember it wrong since I have not watched the game after watching at the stadium we had a pass for a first down after the turn over than ran it on first and second down even though we had sucked at the running it on first down and then failed on third and punted it away. So yes without setting up context the term is completely wrong so am I right that we ran 4 plays before having to punt it away?
