Talked to my brother and he said he saw a championship level effort from the players. He said every championship team at some point plays like shit and knows it is playing like shit but they don't quit and still find a way to win. The only thing that stoped them was PK coming in and saying sorry guys I am about to take a big dump on your efforts and put you in a defense you are not accustomed to playing. This way all of you can be confused about your assignments. Therefore, I can blame you guys for bad execution.
  7. If we get there and we win it you come back and let us us know which feels better. Thumping them last year or beating them for a conference trophy.
  8. Texas Bowl and the 8 win line was perfect.
  9. Now I remember what it was, he was asked if he would get involved with trying to fix the defensive issues the team was having. He said he really needed time to watch the tape and would not get involved until the offseason. It may have been year one because at some point I think it was last year he had the come to Jesus meeting during the season.
  10. I don't feel like finding the presser were he said it and the articles calling him out on it but he said it. It was something like there is not enough time and he really has to study the tape to get it fixed.
  11. Washington boards said we would get tired of Steve's WTF losses when we hired him and the last two years showed us what they were talking about. Because of that in another thread I posted that talk of a BIG XII Championship appearance needs to be shelved until after the TCU game. Reasons for optimism. a) Steve was useless at in game adjustments the first two years but this year he has made the necessary adjustments offensively. b) The team is correcting issues from one week to the next. In prior years, Steve in pressers would say the issue will be corrected in the off-season. WTF? c) Our freshmen are growing up and getting better. Reasons why WTF loss may take place: a) Teams are finding weaknesses every week and it is taking a lot of time to adjust on offense. So far it has not cost us since I blame the OU loss on the defensive game plan and player execution mistakes. The problem is that it could cost us if we continue to adjust late. b) On defense we were finally challenged and like years past, PK was unable to make the proper in game adjustments, it almost felt like Tech last year. c) Steve being the OC leaves a few things to drop by the wayside, this week it was a prevent defensive strategy for the final drive what will it be next time. d) New issues show up every week on special teams that were not an issue the prior week like bad snaps, missing kicks, not catching punts or running into kickers. Is a monkey keeping a certain coach awake and unable to focus? This year I see some changes in Steve and want to believe he somehow will get past the WTF loss. Yet, I am a realist so I will keep my hopes measured until after TCU.
  12. What is with the long twitter post @MirrOlure ?
  13. So you call posters pussy because your argument does not pass muster. He calls a pass play leaves himself outside field goal range and your bitching. The defense makes a stop and your calling the run on 3 and 9 a genius move since OU had not scored since 10:21 in the 3rd. The defensive strategy at the end of the game cost us the win. Mistakes and a slow start put us in position to have to go through that last drive. Also, the Bama drive only worked because one of our players missed a sure sack and the Bama lineman was allowed to make a flagrant hold otherwise the field goal wins us the game last year.
  14. The reason time was left on the clock in 2008 was because Colt ran out of bounds after getting a first and goal. If he slides in bound we win or if we catch an easy interception. Against Bama they made a stop on a decent call with a great player. This comes from a guy that thinks Sark is terrible at in game adjustments but thinks yesterday was one of his best in game jobs and one of his worst pregame jobs.
  15. Why does everyone that makes the we should have not gone with tempo argument assume that changing what had been working for us was going to work? The tempo strategy got us within a first down of winning that game. The bad RPO sack is what what put the game in jeopardy. They made the play when it was needed and we did not make it. What lost us the game was prevent defense at the end.
  16. Oklahoma had not scored since 10:21 left in the 3rd quarter. If you are Sark as far as you are concerned your defense has found its footing and Gabriel is missing wide open receivers and seems to be choking. Of course you are going for the lead. He was betrayed by PK and an atrocious prevent defense strategy. Sark's failure in that scenario in my view was either telling PK to play such a strategy or not telling PK before the last drive you better fucking not come at them with your preferred prevent strategy.
  17. The damn loss to OU will make it impossible to enjoy aggy tears this week. I will still give a shot though even if I know it is to no avail.

As far as I am concerned all the rematch talk can be put on the shelf until after TCU. It will take 4 games of dominating lesser teams to get the excitement back that had been building up this year. As far as coaching I think PK had a bad game plan and was out coached in game yesterday. I hate to say it but the guy I have said said can't make in game adjustments for two years made the proper adjustments yesterday. As far as the last drive we have seen teams go away from what is working plenty of times to milk clock and all they do is 3 and out. So I don't have problem with how it got called. They made the plays on our last drive and we didn't. It was that simple. I would have to rewatch to see if my opinion changes but I will not do that to myself.
  19. We watched the game in Denver at the sports bar where Texas-Exes watch and that was great. Also in 1991 I watch the game at Champions in DC and upstairs was all OU and downstairs was all Texas. Those are the only two sport bar environments that were worth attending.
  20. These two teams suck and Howard the "bad ass" QB looked like garbage. Now on to the important game of the week.
  21. From my home office and with great anticipation
  22. We are going up to enjoy the fair but have yet to get tickets so I found Juicy's Texas Tailgate which is suppose to have TVs. So where is the Toyota Screen? Is it on the Texas side or on the OU side or is it where Gameday sets up?
  23. That one is good but this low quality one is my favorite.
