  1. A question for the lawyers, can the NIL deals have a non compete clause. Meaning you have signed with us and must promote us while playing for team A as long as you have not been dismissed by team A and cannot go promote anyone else while playing for anyone other than team A for N years. Do the rules need to be rewritten so that something like this can work or will labor laws make it impossible? At some point signing a contract has to have consequences. Ask Lamar.
  2. First, thanks for the link it has been bookmarked. So Burnt Ends ($10) plus $22 (soon) allows us to call ourselves what? Grassroot donor seems to CR. So what is the name and acronym. Small Money Donor or Cheap Ass Money Donor or Minimum Money Donor. So many possibilities.
  3. He should not have followed "unfortunate" with "then again," which is basically but and everything before but does not count.
  4. Maybe he can't beat them now just yet but if he continues to compete he has the potential to become damn good. What if one of guys you mention wins the job, Neto leaves and the guy becomes the next Jake Majors. I rather he stay and compete but that is in our teams best interest. He has to do what he thinks is in his best interest. This whole thing of saying it is fine that they leave because they are not starters as freshman or redshirt freshman is so aggy to me. Can you imagine saying it is fine to every Poona Ford type kid after their freshman year.
  5. Don't remember seeing this on the board and I took a cursory look at post between the 2nd and 7th and did not see it so SIAP. Just saw this on the Epic Meltdown on Twitter thread on texags. Looks like a troll job but I could picture a parallel universe in which aggy bought into gentlemen's agreement not only once but twice.
  6. I did not say want too, they may have to in order to have a chance to be part of a major conference. Lets say B1G, SEC and TV partners decide staying put works fine for them. I do not see how the remaining viable brands stay in current conferences with equal revenue sharing. They probably break off and form a 3rd major conference and that includes some schools breaking away from the BIG 12. I would think recent lessons would have been learned regarding being left behind.
  7. Based on former ESPN exec ACC may be able to force renegotiation. Also, it could open the door for tiered payouts. Smaller fish may be way more willing to take less if less means more than what they would get if left out in the end. https://athlonsports.com/college-football/former-espn-president-says-acc-pac-12-should-consider-merging
  8. Josh Pate said aggy has lots of talent that should win 8 to 9 games by being average. He said A&M go out there and be average and you will improve. Does he not know they are great at being average?
  9. Isn't Karen the one that lead herself right into the Oklahoma State comparison? If true then she is just that thick otherwise I would have started to think she was a troll. She gets the folks over there all riled up every time.
  10. What would be hilarious is if Jimbo offered Bear big money and got him to go into the portal and Jimbo is so out of touch with the portal he didn't check the rules until someone showed him the reminder tweet.
  11. Still at the Stadium but before Malik starting hitting some passes it looked like we didn’t have a viable backup.
  12. Back in those days you could call in and ask Mackovic when he was going to get a real defense? and get hung up on by the host while an upset coach ranted. Also, you could call Mack Brown and ask if he was the Mackovic of special teams and have him act confused. I liked those radio call in shows. One time I called in from DC during an internship and a friend told me he recognized my voice but they hung up on me because I was shit faced after a win against OU in 1991 I think. I can't remember calling in. Mack Brown put an end to them saying he did not want to talk to people he did not respect.
  13. Well they have had 12 years of Texas aggy's trying to fit in so they think we are cut from the same cloth. They are in for a rude awakening.
  14. In 2024 the 750 seat allotment requirement will be gone and Texas has started to throw around its' weight already if you ask aggy.
  15. We were happy when we got him but we needed him last year and Q kept throwing it to the guy with the broken hand instead of anyone else on the team. He did not step up when the door was open and now with the new talent and track he has an uphill battle he is not willing to take on. Wish him luck and when you want to be a Longhorn and you yourself created no drama you will always be a Longhorn.
  16. Saw this last night and want to believe but then I remember the deer in the headlights look he sports the minute plan A does not work and he has yet to prove he can put a plan B together on the fly during the game. He needs a Jim Valvano on the side line with him to help him figure it out. I just watched that 30 for 30 and Valvano would throw what ever they worked on out and try something new mid game. They had lots of luck but the luck was forced by unexpected approaches that Valvano took at the end of games.
  17. @closetojumping Jaydon Blue is on the sticky as out. Is that still the case with all the praise he is getting from players? I would hate to lose that guy, I think he could be a very good back for us.
  18. This thread needs an emoji of Kermit getting high or drunk on aggy tears. @THUJONE grace us with some paint emoji art so we can rep aggy tears.
  19. Mark Nabou is solid he won't get pushed around you stupid sip. https://247sports.com/player/mark-nabou-46094232/
  20. Almost there, since they are pushing to be so good that they only need 53 players on scholarship.
  21. Based on the requirements I guess not except for dealing with people that have an academia background that are the ultimate decision makers.
  22. Well he knows how to run a sports networks. We will see how he does running a conference. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tony_Petitti
  23. Those were an ugly last 3 minutes with some clutch at the end by both teams.
