  1. My wifey struck a gas station bollard before. She doesn’t drive it anymore … but she does back it up in tight quarters. I don’t have the patience. and pro tip - go through the trucker side of the truck stops. You never have to navigate the roof lines or tight turns.

  3. Texas women in a street fight
  4. So refreshing we seem to swing when need to take when we can
  5. I’ve done deals with several of them. They are slippery and evasive mother fuckers. Everything is a leverage, ego, resource or asset grab and even when they are being charitable (in business dealings) they are still slippery, evasive, ego driven and looking to control resources and assets. there’s nothing to worship or revere, they are maniacal assholes. And the ones that openly aspire to be billionaires are worse. I’ve worked with more $20-50-100+ millionaires than I can count. At the lower end of that they are different but not the same. Often out of touch - beyond financial security - they have lost track of much of what worries normal people but they are not a virus like billionaires. there is not one redeeming quality to the billionaires I’ve met. They are loathsome humans. If I had that money I would give it away, now. There is no reason to need more money than you can spend. Once you move into buying influence like musk can do it’s more money than you should legally be allowed to have.
  6. You know this better than I do but I’ve decreased drinking dramatically over the years and most recently during and after long covid and regardless of what you eat (and drinking often times encourages worse eating habits), alcohol causes weight gain and whole body inflammation. Anything you can do to reduce consumption even reducing moderate or very little consumption is beneficial. And that’s nothing to do with liver, kidney or addiction or dependency issues at all.
  7. GASPY!!!!!
  8. @ztejas I think you are an amazing poster. If AA doesn’t work for you there are other options. I know one guy that takes Naltrexone. Be curious, research about it. It holds promise.
  9. Hey that’s my line.
  10. I think most EVs are a lot for teens, off the line is always quick. That's a big concern for me. The screen is fine, we've been living with the screen for years with our S and X.
  11. we leased then bought our maycan, we had $13K in equity when we bought it at the end of the lease term (we did exceed the mileage a bit but it was a non-issue in the analysis). thanks a lot inflationary times.
  12. Tell me about the Ford Mach EV… we are considering another used EV for my 15 year old. He’s eyeing that one. something like this one (225 mile range): https://www.carvana.com/vehicle/3545170?refSource=home other options welcome. used only.
  13. I dunno I kinda get the “I wish I was a squirrel.” chasing tail and wanting to be tail is a thing you know. I actually agree with your take though. Or even more simple. Just “I want that squirrel.” These are dogs after all.
  14. Pretty sure Bernie said “trickle down deez nuts.”
  15. They still work…
  16. with all due respect, long covid is a fucking miserable cunt. and in some cases people have it long term and are only well enough to not be dead. hundreds of thousands of people are so debilitated by it they can't work or function and their only hope was NIH funded research.
  17. Having luckily overcome LC I can tell you this is a disaster in the making. It’s a fucked up condition sidelining millions of folks and the more times you are infected the greater chance you suffer long covid. We about to FAFO.
  18. That’s a very uncomfortable thought. He’s an army brat age guy we’d see it a mile away.
  19. My wife’s Facebook background … an early indication that my love for her was well deserved and well placed.
  20. Not sure who shoved what watch where but these are mammy’s and poppy’s watches, my wife’s great grandmother and great grandfather…. Pretty cool. Elgin and Trenton Watch Company. Not worth a whole lot but I think they’re kinda cool.
  21. we are in san miguel de allende during the CWS, so I thought for a second we could go to the SEC tournament which might be just as good baseball. the motor coach is in the shop waiting for us to pull the trigger on about $15K of repairs, I was about to say GO! so we could make Birmingham, but the kids have some bs school shit right after they get out and we couldn't do it until after memorial day. boooo!!!
  22. I'm a little surprised with how salty the pitching was this weekend, especially the back half of the weekend. in all fairness Spencer pitched well, LSU was just nails on Friday night across the board. I expected to be competitive and would have bet 2/3 at Miss St and 1/3 last weekend. so we are +2 games in conference already. I'd have expected at least 2-3 more drops in pre-conf too but that didn't happen.
