  1. every free country in the world needs to isolate the US. trade war the fuck out of the US, make permanent decisions to reduce our influence and get on with it. Doesn't matter if this is temporary, we've proven we have the ability to recklessly slide into an autocratic, fascist, nazi-like position way to easily to be forgiven in 4 years. this is like being in a marriage and being cheated on and then being blamed for it. there's a path back, but not when your spouse cheats and then blames you. that's unforgivable. move on Europe. move on Australia, Japan, Canada, Mexico... bypass the US, don't fuck around with China they are in the running for the worst along with the US. Create a new coalition of the free, for the benefit of all freedom loving peoples across the world, including those still in the US.

Living in this hellscape right now pretty much sucks. This is getting so heavy to carry and it’s just getting started.
  3. How much better is lsu than the good guys? Looking forward to that weekend series coming up.
  4. Not really, LC is diagnosed by elimination. But you can try and treat it as LC - I didn’t suffer that condition. So I don’t know a lot but the stellate ganglion block is used and there is limited evidence to show it can work on some. I’d start there.
  5. Covid clinics treat Covid vaccine injury the same as they do long covid. The spike protein in some causes micro clots, one prominent theory for vax injury is the emulated spike protein in the mRNA vaccine causes micro clots. I don’t speak to the efficacy of mRNA technology but in this theory it’s not the technology, it’s the spike protein and it’s facsimile in the vaccine that causes problems for a small subset of individuals.
  6. Married in 1997 to a straight woman. Came out to her in 2002 and we both thought it would still work (she never said she was a lesbian), had kids starting in 2005, started therapy and transition in 2013, separated in 2015 when she said she just couldn’t do it, divorced in 2017. Started seeing my current wife in 2016, engaged during vaccine required travel, married in 2023.
  7. Such a bad team, let’s move on please.
  8. After the easy pickings of trans folk and brown people the next up are the olds. Only the extreme wealthy will have the resources to die with comfort and dignity. So trust your family, be uber wealthy or find somewhere else to grow old and die.
  9. I appreciated the dark humor, my ex works for a firm that has vax makers as a client group, goal is to increase adoption. She didn’t appreciate the joke as much as I did. I prefaced saying it was dark humor. I thought it was quite funny.
  10. Fun team to watch, finally.
  11. My guide says San Marcos is about all he can do right now without a lot of effort. I didn’t ask specifically about the Colorado tho. This was a convo about a month ago.

The transgender bathroom using thus coffee buying market is definitely worth pursuing.
  13. Same thing is said about tequila. I’ll never forget the first time I got my ex drunk on exquisite tequila she poured the bottle on my body and licked it off. Either you are a lover or a fighter on that stuff too. vodka is for Tiffany, her gay bff and hooligan dude bros that think it’s not gay so long as you don’t kiss or make eye contact. battle of Hastings …. Hmmm… I prefer corporate mogul or political elite - yes I embellish while drinking scotch. My “you know you’ve arrived when…” calculus has changed over the years ever increasing. I’ll spare the steps from early days to now (step one was I want a key ring with a lot of keys (I was probably 6 years old)) but now that I have the winter scene of a living room fire in a cozy modern lodge type lake house with distant views of the lights from the houses on the cliffs over looking the lake checked off, my next step is deniro’s office in zero day - standalone building, full living room, fire place, large desk to work from with a view of some sort where in the evenings after consulting as a senior advisor on some deal I can sip scotch out of a fancy crystal glass, bonus points if it has historical significance, triple bonus points if it’s near thanksgiving or Christmas and my sons are there smiling, telling stories, and laughing with me.

I’m taller than most men, not sure I’d be fucked with. but what I’ll probably do is avoid gendered restrooms in government buildings which is where it becomes a risk. Pee before you go, stop at Starbucks and buy shit to use theirs. Stuff like that.
  15. Your uncle sound like a swell guy. Oof
  16. Rum crushes my brain in a vice the next day. Bourbon makes me angry but maybe that’s because I was pissed off being in the wrong body and brain chemistry when I was imbibing back in the day. I do love an old fashion now. Scotch makes me feel sophisticated and accomplished especially if it’s a winter evening and I’ve got a fire going in the fireplace.
  17. No one knew what the emoluments clause was and plus “emoluments” is too hard to spell.
  18. I’m explaining it’s the only civilized way forward. I will not bet money it will happen. and yes my optimism is beautiful, it’s how I have gotten as far as I have in this life with a lot of cards stacked against me. Even still, I’m sober and pragmatic, ever vigilant of the threat. There is a high, high likelihood that we are applying for Mexican residency this summer when we return from SMA. What stands in the way is further self convincing it’s necessary and severing deep rooted ties to Texas and Austin, the grief will be astounding but my resiliency and optimism will lead the way.
  19. Religious people are the single largest voting block in the country. I stated he has 35-40% of the vote. Still, even though the margin for error is slim, that’s not enough for him to take the country. I conceded your points in the background. and moreso, we have to win despite these voters, we will not convince them.
  20. To both of these posts - Right now the only recourse is to shine a light on it, and hope a ground swell of people blitz the Congress - republicans with threats of defeat unless they act. The only escape value is impeachment and conviction. I realize the perils here but it’s the only conceivable and lawful way. if the Dems take the house then the ability to shine the light becomes more dramatic with investigations or at least public hearings and statements like the one I just quoted above, and the ability to impeach is secure. If the Dems succeed in taking the house, Trump will be impeached for the third time - it’s a foregone conclusion. At that point it becomes the senate’s job. The question will be left in the hands of roughly 50 senators - needing roughly 17 to succeed (for the math I’m assuming (50/50 post mid terms which will undoubtedly be off some). in less than two years we will have the ability to end this within our grasp, 17 men and women doing the right thing. thats clearly as unlikely as anything but it’s also so close given the drastic nature of our situation. With any optimism or belief that humans can do the right thing you’ve got to think some senators will come around and want to go down as historical heroes. I won’t count on it but again it’s the only way. then a ground swell of public support is needed. We have to be vocal. If you aren’t donating money to non profit journalism then you do not believe in the free press. For profit journalism is the enemy. as for nazisim - the bench mark isn’t hitler - it’s authoritarianism + a belief that the authoritarian leader’s innate and inherent characteristics - white, straight, cis gender, male, US citizen born of US citizen parents is superior + subjugating those who do not fit within the superior human class. That is nazisism. Trump is that 100%, republicans are that 100%. the good news is Trump and the nazis only have about 35-40% of the electorate. Trump won on independents focused on the economy and thinking he wouldn’t do what he’s doing. this shit is going to boomerang hard on him in 12 months when campaigning for the mid terms starts again. even more so after mid terms. the sole question is will the people rise up and use the strength of our system to demand his ouster? I doubt it, but the path is there and it is designed to work.
  21. Everyone should take 30 mins and watch this
  22. That’s horse shit. Too many fantastic hitters in MLB, they just don’t want to settle and take the single.
