  1. and guests over...
  2. Solid 8 hours of sleep, then breakfast? Exhausting. Time for an early morning nap…
  3. That cross body throw is a signature of his, even looked like the WR knew that was the ad lib move and halted and stepped back while every other offensive and defensive player - including QE - continued to slide to the boundary. fun to watch. idgaf.
  4. Fancy tostadas … fancy mezcal and coconut cocktails. I helped and made drinks but @Ramblyn gets all the credit… truffle street corn with dill foam, chili ahi tuna with micro greens, radish, avocado and short ribs, provolone and fried onion strips. Some refried beans thrown in on the corn and short ribs for good measure.
  5. I think this board has football blue balls.
  6. You know you wanna watch.
  7. I don’t know the deets but I was aware of the significant advancements in these reconstructive techniques, still traumatized tho.
  8. Maybe we should win, you know a trophy first.
  9. Still traumatized by Edwin Simmons knee injury. Takes it to the fucking house on one play, torn ACL on another. Comes back never the same. Naked arrest aside he never made a headline again. All ACL injuries trigger that old trauma for me. Hope Baxter brings healing to this damaged soul.
  10. Yeah I’m aware how it works….
  11. 350 degrees is about 4-5 on a 1-10 stove top dial. i don’t know why yall are arguing these are just facts. It’s like I’m criticizing your favorite personal lubricant or something. Olive oil is great for you so is avocado oil. olive oil a tad better but probably negligible. Smoke point matters for how great the oil is for you when consumed (so is mfg techniques). Olive oil is more delicate when used in cooking and avocado oil is more versatile because of their relative smoke points. Olive oil taste better or more accurately has a more distinctive taste and is great for cooking as long as you pay attention to the smoke points. These are facts. They aren’t disputable. cook with olive oil at low heat and medium heat no problem. Up the dial and it degrades. Again just facts. We banned gender affirming care. If I can’t have my estrogen you can get fucked on TRT.
  12. hey jj, I don't care. do what you want. mkay...?
  13. as already stated it probably doesn't get up to 450 in the oven. but science is science.
  14. As for what percentage from fat? No one got fat on lean protein, plant based fats, limiting animal saturated fat and otherwise eating a truly whole food diet. The density of calories from even boiled or baked potatoes (potatoes are surprisingly good for you) and rice and even the natural sugars from oranges, apples, strawberries and watermelon are balanced such that you can’t eat enough and therefore can’t fatten up without the calorie density that comes with added sugar, animal saturated fat, and man made chemicals and processed foods. I lived this perfect diet for 7 months, ate as much as I wanted, didn’t count calories, didn’t consume one single food item with an ingredient list, and lost 30+ pounds all at the beginning and got healthy from debilitating long covid too (diet being one of several factors in my recovery)
  15. Smoke point for EVOO starts around 375, starts around 500 for avocado oil. One thing absolutely happens when you exceed the smoke point - the oil breaks down and the first things to go are the antioxidants which is one of the primary reasons you consume EVOO. Flavor goes after that. Longer cook times the oil can even break down enough to transform to harmful compounds. added bonus - do it with a ceramic non-stick and it will ruin the non-stick. as sawbonz indicated it’s probably ok in the oven, one a good oven you can dial in the max temp at 350 which is plenty for most oven cooked vegetables, and two it probably doesn’t get that hot anyway. the stove top is dicey when it comes to EVOO. I didn’t learn this until I ruined a ceramic non-stick- and asked why. I think the smoke point on EVOO is too low to preserve the health benefits of the oil when cooking on the stove and avocado oil is plenty healthy for you too. So we use olive oil for salads and very light cooking - might add it back for oven cooking - and avaocado oil for heavier higher heat cooking especially on the blackstone or stove.
  16. I hate to say it this way but not only do I agree, it's probably our best chance to get out of this alive as a country - half assed compliance. in one of those videos there are two feds whose body language to me clearly indicates they don't want to be there and they are covering their faces to protect themselves and a sense of shame. the other guys aren't goon looking they are goofy looking almost with a recognition that their job is nonsensical. we need these types to stay and do performative bullshit and hope we can bide our time and get out alive with a new admin and a new generation of voters that will be imprinted with the "you can never take it for granted" view on voting. the first part, biding our time with half-assers is very plausible, the new generation of voters that understand what's at stake and push back permanently? well, I'm not holding my breath for that but it takes half-assers the next 3 years to even have that chance.
  17. the fact that we have enough DE/Edge rushers to put 3-4 in at one time in obvious passing situations and not have to rely on DTs to rush the QB is ....
  18. That’s why I think expectations and finding benefits along the way are so important.
  19. I was at my peak physical shape at 42-43 after getting back into it at 40 but hurt my elbow bad with poor tennis form, out for 14 months though I tried to work through it. I ended up resting for 6 months straight but no alt exercise because most of my workouts then were just tennis and I lost everything. I’m 49 (50 in a week) and just now getting back up there - to be fair other than tennis 2x a week which I never stopped I only really started this past February - but an almost a decade of aging and a few tummy pounds that will not go away. I’m not sure there’s anyway to avoid atrophy at our ages if we stop for 3-6 months, heck at this point taking 2 weeks off is hell on return. If I were down for 3 months or more I would mentally prepare for a 6-9-12 month restart depending on how long I was out and rebuild. I do think you can absolutely gain muscle mass over 50 (over 49) because I’m doing it. And if I can, any guy can, in fact as hard as it is, I would fully expect it’s actually easier than for me. I think the key is expectations. While the goal is a certain muscle mass or look, the good news is the journey back is full of health benefits too so you don’t really have to wait for 6-12 months once you get back to it, the ride itself is full of the good stuff.
  20. High quality, minimally processed seed oil in moderation sure. I would not wager on a single prepared food at the grocery store using high quality, minimally processed seed oil. In fact most seed oils in the oil aisle are garbage. But yes in moderation the high quality seed oils can be ok. I would still use the three we are talking about before considering a seed oil because the omega 6 ratio is a real thing.
  21. That’s fair. I’m talking more on the stove. You’ll ruin a nonstick ceramic pan cooking with olive oil. Don’t ask me how I know.
  22. Olive oil is actually not a great cooking oil. So for us it’s olive oil for salads and other dishes where low heat is all that is required. we cook with avocado oil. Coconut oil is meh. seed oils are shit. Except sesame oil, that’s all time GOAT.
