  1. thanks for the reply. yeah LT has great options for go getters, the regular classes are terribad though.
  2. cartels need tourism to launder their dirty money too. we have friends in Ajijic as well. their hacienda is the fucking tits. jaw dropping wow.
  3. Go to breakfast… plain yougurt, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, pecans, sunflower seeds (dry roasted), flax seeds (dry roasted), and pepitas. sweet as can be, zero added sugar, no processed carbs or foods.
  4. Thanks for the responses… good info to know.
  5. Got my old f350 7.3L running well again (power steering and brake fluid pump, steering gear box, brake system, differential service and sealing, turbo something was leaking, and a bunch of little stuff with a receipt about 5 pages long, all in about $12k). Engine and transmission still in good shape, about to roll past 300,000 miles… hums like a school bus with after market tuner that lets me ride on the highway with ease. Wife is installing a new car play stereo this weekend. Weekend drives and fishing expeditions in the hill country are sublime in that loud ass mother fucker. 🤤 yes tacos are expensive, bought my son one at the height of the used car market. 🤢
  6. What’s the straight story here? What did they do to warrant the firing?
  7. Because you know what he’s actually doing.
  8. I didn’t say he made sense and frankly it doesn’t matter. It’s all bullshit. The best indicator that it is all bullshit is what he is doing. Talking about what he says is a waste of time. Want to eliminate agencies? Mike Fucking Johnson said he supports it. Make congress pass the law then it’s not unconstitutional to eliminate USAID or the Dept of Education. What musk is saying and what he is doing are totally different things.
  9. And part of the process that led us to where we are today.
  10. Don’t listen to what they say, look at what they do. This presser sounds infinitely reasonable even if major changes are happening. what they are doing is entirely different. Saying one thing and doing another is the definition of propaganda. Even if his examples of anecdotal waste are 100% true, what they are doing isn’t common sense modernization. They are killing agencies, stopping all federally funded medical research, stopping all funding for programs that no one doubts are valid and important, and more and more in direct violation of the law and the constitution, claiming it’s what the people want. Unfortunately, many will listen and say carry on because they have no ability to evaluate the differences between what they say and what they do.
  11. You can buy drugs if you want but the more you do the more you risk an interaction - but that’s no different than in the US. I dunno about weed, I’m not much of a user.
  12. Ok I turned this game off. I’ve probably quit watching 10 times this year. Holy shit this program is a dumpster fire.
  13. Trash program right now. Absolute garbage.
  14. The thing about gitmo … man …. That shit way back when started it, I’m not changing the narrative Trump is an authoritarian nightmare but we never should have detained humans without due process, ever.
  15. Most are saying this is the case. Truly the only way to stop him is mass public protest.
  16. He may get some around the edges action around the border and immigration but he’s not going to orchestrate a violent coup. It’s not really our style. He’s orchestrating a lazy coup, no violence required, courts will punt to congress, congress will do nothing, and that’s that. He does what he wants for 4 years.
  17. The constitutional crisis began day 1 question now is whether the people will force congress to remove him. And that is so unlikely there’s no real point to asking when, only if.
  18. pretty much. and mexico in the right places is a top 10 gay enclave. live like queens (homes we are looking at are probably at an 80% discount to similar styles and similar US locations (overlooking the pacific ocean or mountain homes), retire 10 years earlier, die leaving wealth to my kids. mexico is actually a ridiculously great option for anyone looking to retire early and escape the politics here. plus my identity (and IDs) will always be under threat here. I can wash my legal identity right now through the system in Mexico and always have my "F" identity. so yeah, Mexico is a FANTASTIC option.
  19. I agree congress is a joke but impeachment and conviction is the only option that will be given when the Supreme Court rules this is a political question not a legal one. we have 200 years of court rulings that tell us exactly how this will go. To expect different is insane.
  20. they haven't folded because their constituents worship Trump too. there is a path, an unlikely path, but a path nonetheless to removing him. this is coming from someone actively looking to leave the country (hoping we can make it 3-4 years).
  21. If republicans are forced by an avalanche of protests and constituents they will do it - but only if they think their power is truly in question.
  22. Yeah I was waiting for someone to reply like this. It’s nothing compared to what it’s going to be.
  23. I'm between you and brisket. I think SCOTUS will absolutely call it a political question and punt in a scathing opinion - one for the ages actually - hoping Congress does the dirty work. I think the opinion will be 7-2 or possibly 9-0 and will be the invitation, even the request that Congress impeach and convict (alito and Thomas will not participate in the majority if Roberts goes too far). then the question is how far does Trump have to go before Congress actually does its job and impeaches and convicts him. I think if that happens, he will be ousted. I'm not sure what mechanism will force him out, but I believe there will be an executive revolt against him at that time. secret service might arrest him. you wouldn't need the FBI and certainly wouldn't need the military. I do not think he will successfully orchestrate an armed coup, his coup is entirely dependent upon no one doing a damn thing about it - and that starts and ends with Congress. so until you see Congress grow a pair, there's no chance. none, not one iolta of a chance. zilch, nada, nothing.
  24. you are correct, though in theory and possibly in practice, Congress and the rest of the government has a chance at each violation to do the right thing. we have to hope that at some point it goes too far for even swarmy Cruz. I know, I need to forgetaboutit.
  25. and their coming up our ass too as we alienate mexico and other latin american countries. I bet Trump has no idea what the Monroe Doctrine is and its impact on our side of the world. This asshole is gonna let these motherfuckers Red Dawn our asses straight up the butthole. if Trump get his way, geopolitics in the mid east will be the least of our worry, these mother fuckers will be crawling all over central and south american doing economic development to gain influence.
