Quinn "La Joya" Ewers - The Man The Myth The Mullet
troph replied to Coach pop a bitch's topic in Football
I don’t care about that I care about under the circumstances we find ourselves in which QB gives us the best chance for a title run. It’s an imperfect solution set but I think it’s QE. Now I’m not happy about our odds with him but I do think the chances are near zero with arch and above zero with QE and if the QE we know is there can show up I think we are the favorite. -

He does miss the deep post with mind numbing consistency. -

That was sark’s half time adjustments he said we have to run the ball. We did in the second half and basically had scoring drives for 3 out of the 4 second half drives. Running the ball is the key to his whole offensive system. -

He plays as he is capable of playing we win it all. I’m as disappointed in his play this year as many of you. I just don’t think yanking him is the best move for a title run. I think sark sees it the same. -

I agree with this. I’m just on one side of it more concerned that arch’s raw talent advantage over Quinn isn’t enough to justify switching it what could be a title run. We all know QE can do it. I’m more willing to gamble on QE getting hot than I am trusting arch’s talent over his lack of experience. I could be wrong, I could be right, but it seems sark sees it the same though maybe he’s just playing QE for optics. Who knows. -

Uh, QE has limitations but saying he can only throw a screen pass is hyperbole man. -

Arch will have his own limitations he’s an inexperienced redshirt freshman for pete’s sake. -

It’s why sark said we had to reassert ourselves in the run game coming out of the half. i think 24 points beats A&M. Their offense isn’t good and our defense is tops in the league. -

What the quinn haters fail to realize is some of us just don’t see a perfect outcome at all. We see the same limitations you do we just don’t think benching a seasoned veteran with those limitations and replacing him with an inexperienced redshirt freshman who will be a great one in due time but unlikely this year is the right move for this season. You are way too emotional about this. -

Two things - I’m not a defender - I think he has limitations that arch won’t have. I just don’t think a RS freshman is going to reliably play good enough to justify yanking the junior. That’s it, pretty simple really. and in college football, nice touch and leading the RB in space is a lot bigger of a deal than you think. Especially if you’re trying to get 7-8 yards with a 1 on 1 in space. -

But we are told it’s because they don’t see the deep ball as a threat. I don’t watch film but with rushing 3-4 that means 7-8 are in pass defense. That’s really hard to beat if you can’t line up and run the ball. -

He does a great job putting the ball in the right spot on the swing passes so blue and wisner can turn up field and make the guy miss. You can’t do that if you have to contort your body to catch the ball or the ball isn’t thrown in stride. his limitations are legit. But he’s a solid college QB and if he gets hot in the playoffs we win it all. -
I have 3 Ross reels - 3wt, 8wt and 12 wt, sage rod 3wt, Scott rod for 8wt and Thomas & Thomas for 12wt. Ross reels are just fantastic imo. I love my Scott 8 wt rod and that sage 3wt had a ton of feel for the little brookies and cen Tex creek fishing for sun fish. My Thomas & Thomas is 1 for 1 … only time I’ve used it I yanked a GT out of the lagoon. still fish my TFO 5 wt with a reddington reel, my initial trout starter set and its starting to show its lack of peformance a bit boring actually, I’d like to upgrade to a 4 wt and Ross reel for dry fly trout fishing. Probably circle back and upgrade the 5 wt set up eventually for nymph fishing.

Change mandated elections are here to stay until one party actually does real and lasting work for the working and middle class. I think Biden was on his way but inflation and not enough time and terrible messaging got in his way. look I think trans rights are human rights and I’ll not ever change my position but we need to lead with a more populist message for the working and middle class and then things like climate and civil rights are secondary and not forgotten but not at the core of the platform. Education, healthcare, childcare, unions, taxes all have to be messaged well - and we have to run against oligarchs and the political class. Kamala tried to but she was too focused on the disaffected Republican and should have been all over the working and middle class. Warren, AOC, sanders are the standard bearers and then message the shit out of us vs them, create the messaging around our enemies. Be bold and colorful with language (avoiding messages that promote violence). Our enemies are the billionaires and multi hundred millionaires. Demonize them, don’t take their money per se don’t lock them up but promise enforcement against them (IRS, SEC, etc) and promote benefits for the middle and working classes. learn from Trump - you MUST identify THEM and US and blame THEM tirelessly. benefits for the middle and working class? Children of families under a certain income or first time college? Free. healthcare bankruptcies? Eliminate for those under a certain income. Single payer would be much better. taxes? Increase zero tax brackets substantially (not zero SS/medicare), increase highest rates, create new Uber wealthy tax rates, including something like a 25% cap gains rate for those with millions upon millions in cap gains. Childcare - make it free for those below certain income levels so the second wage earner in a family often the woman isn’t effectively working for a penance. Social security - above extreme incomes in retirement (say more than $500k in retirement jncome) eliminate SS benefits. Probably a drop in the bucket but it would message well. unions - we need more of them, plain and simple. Labor has to be able to negotiate with leverage against the oligarchs. Promote them with improved legislation. Abortion is likely a dead issue - voters are voting for republicans and for voter led initiatives to make abortion legal in their red states (not all). We MUST create an US versus THEM approach and beat it into the populace. Without it, we will continually win and lose in change elections as the working and middle classes vacillate between the parties.

I’m thinking about setting up a mini fishing tournament in November - 3 guides, 2 per team minimum of 6 people. We could have more. Can opt out of the guide cost if you have a boat and the confidence to do it. Fly rods only. Launch out of goose island could rent the goose island flats they have a community area too, maybe a show up Thursday fish Friday and Saturday, enjoy some grill time and beer on the patio while watching college football sat night (could pick a UT bye week) then come home Sunday morning. I’m happy to do all the logistics. We can have a purse and side bets - including from those not in attendance are welcome. You could even bet on competitors. It could be a blast. Any interest? *Prefer “like minded” folks given my… how would we say… “unique life circumstances”.

If empty calories are to be avoided it wouldn’t matter, but yeah I love all day brewing, Karbach, and the new corona NAs. I’m still careful because they are empty carbs. NA beers are just going to keep coming given younger generations don’t drink as much

not much to go on, but I suspect twice is right - whistleblower/retaliatory termination type causes of action are likely lacking due to ambiguity. not sure there's another basis there isn't a protected class in play - whether existing or not it doesn't appear to be the reason. I also doubt there's a handbook/contract based claim either. so absent a compelling case on retaliatory termination, there's likely nothing there. not an employment lawyer, a corporate one that has to deal with this enough to have talked to employment lawyers dozens of times about possible claims.

sounds like you are all over it but I'll chime in that I've been on an anti-inflammatory, low histamine diet and it's been a game changer for my weight, and blood work. mine was already pretty good but it just went next level. It's lean proteins (poultry, fish), most vegetables (green is good), and most fruits. whole grains are fine, eggs yes, try to avoid other dairy (some mild cheeses). I did add back plain yogurt (none of the fruit added yogurts). I also mixed up oat milk with 2% dairy milk to avoid daily intake of emulsifiers but I could easily leave milk out and drink less oat milk. I season with salt, pepper and olive oil. big things to avoid - added sugar, saturated fat from animal sources, and anything processed. I avoid almost all breads, pastas, rice, etc. though some in moderation is fine and I was using more heirloom pasta grains too. Rice was fine. The low histamine part makes it more restrictive and I've let that go a lot. so avacados, garlic, strawberries, some citrus is back. I avoid any and all higher calorie juices and opt for super low calorie lettuce type juices. other than that, sugar is all from fruit and then I'm avoiding oranges and citrus. so apples, pears, peaches, watermelon, berries of any type, pomegranate. Also seeds and nuts are great on this diet. I recall reading that under 20 grams of added sugar is the goal. I was down to under 5 grams added sugar per day and it was all in my muesli and spoonful of organic honey peanut butter as an indulgence. I also upped my supplement game - with less but more focusing on the basics and heart health. I find body health branded whole food supplements to be really great and easy to consume (tastes pretty good not like grass). I take coQ10, quercetin, curcumin, full spectrum hemp oil, b complex, c (multiple times a day), zinc, calcium and magnesium, and a few things for sleep. I've relaxed a little bit, but this diet helped me drop 30 pounds and realize that a decent American diet is still pretty trash. On this diet I didn't count calories, I ate when I was hungry and often ate a lot. But a plate of sweet potatoes, broccoli and a lean protein is high in volume and low in calories. the resistant carbs is big, root veggies are fantastic so is the chilled potato thing. weird but it seems to help. if you can get the undigested fiber to your large intestine then that's winning. The walk after eating is HUGE. avoiding alcohol is a big thing. sucks but I've not had a drink since july with very few exceptions. I've all but committed to never drinking alcoholic beer again. red wine and scotch will be the problem. anyway, it should have been hard but for some reason it really wasn't. maybe because I felt like my health depended upon it. and while my health is still a tad bit complicated I can say I feel healthier than I have since I was in my late teens. I'm 100% convinced added sugar and animal based saturated fats are the number 1 and number 2 enemies in our diet. we should have a longevity thread, I might start one.

Y’all realize Mississippi State hasn’t won a single conference game don’t you? I don’t even know what conference ULM is in. -
I kept jumping when I heard the name “Hudson Clark” all day today.
