  1. That’s some grade A hate there. Chicks with dicks, lol. she thinks she’s immune from that hate slapping her upside the head as a Latina woman who can’t code switch because why? And someone needs to tell her Christianity does a fine job mocking itself, it don’t need any help from us faggots.
  2. And they should be fired. Agree GQP is hypocritical. Duh.
  3. I’ve lost track of inflation lately - I’ve been distracted but I’ll tell ya I’d much rather be late on a cut than too early. Inflation like we had was almost panic level shit. And we are still feeling it some. We don’t want to FAFO with that.
  4. I’ve been an AMD fan since the early 2000s and love seeing them do well. Can’t trade them they are client and while I’m not an insider I’m also not a member of congress and I enjoy my freedom. But it’s great to see their people rewarded. I’ve built several PCs with Ryzen and either AMDs GPU or Nvidia and they have been amazing computers.
  5. So a woman assigned female at birth (AFAB) with higher testosterone than a trans woman (AMAB) can compete but the trans woman can’t? Because why? This shit is so fucking stupid. I’m fine with a well thought out standard that doesn’t per se exclude any class of people carte blanche, but make no mistake about it this is policing women’s bodies. It’s fucked up.
  6. love you bro, I mean it. but i'm not interesting in arguing where your stated intention is to convince me to sell a car and buy a new car because you think I'm teaching my kids a bad less about what it means to be a person like me. my reasoning is sound, it's justified, it's logical and it may not work for you, but you're not me or us. My wife and I talked and this is our family position on it. and to be really blunt, climate change matters way fucking more than Elon's discourse about my existence. sorry it just does. and in our home, we talk about LGBTQ issues on semi regular occasion, but spend more time talking about reducing trash, starting a composting system, recycling properly, reducing energy consumption, making sure our food and water is as clean as it can be, reducing or eliminating pesticides and herbicides from our use, protecting the ocean, coral reefs, discussing steps we can take to reduce climate change, talking about money we've given to climate related projects and more. because I'm pretty sure my kids are more fucked by climate than the fact their second mom is a trans woman. I'll be dead and they will be migrating for food and water if we don't stop this shit. and yes F Elon.
  7. I still agree with that statement.
  8. I don't really care. but when I used the word "performance" it was a model description applied by the car maker as in Model X P90D. but since I don't care... drag racing is a form of racing last I checked. saying straight line speed, 0-60 doesn't matter and disregarding tesla performance against the world's best performance cars is silly. and if you want to get into a road race situation, yeah ICE may be necessary for longer races, but you can probably mod the fuck out of any car to make it more road worthy, AND my model S was heavy as fuck, low to the ground with an unusually wide wheel base and track. so it was very well set up to do more than go in a straight line. you want to say the Y, or 3 or X isn't a performance car fine. I have an X and a Porsche macan and the Porsche guys tell me we can take the macan out it's made to race too, a couple have practically begged me to come out to the track with them. well there are differences between the macan and the X but they have a lot in common too. in the end, my X is a glorified minivan that rides quiet, clean, smooth and easy and when I want to race into a merge lane or get around someone fast, I can. That's really all I want and need, but yeah the fucking thing goes really really fast and to dismiss that as not performance is again, a bit silly.
  9. well I contain multitudes I guess. a few reasons (financial and environmental): 1. we own it out right - plenty of financial reasons to keep including teaching my kids good money habits. 2. it's driving well, no issues at 100,000 miles and 8 years old (including maybe a 10% battery degradation at most) 3. we have free supercharging so in essence I'm costing the scumbag money, ha. joke's on him. 4. the tech is old for tesla but it's pretty close to on par with current EVs out there from other makers as far as I can tell. and the software algos etc. and integration with the car itself out perform all of the traditional autos making EVs (or so I'm told). 5. I'm in the mode of buying teenager cars and our "garage" so-to-speak is nearly doubling in two years. ugh. 6. no one talks about this much, but consumption behavior is a major factor in climate change and environmental destruction and decline. The car is fine, yes someone else would buy it, but I don't want to teach my kids (as much as I can avoid it) to always look to replace. and all of those combined outweigh selling and buying something different, but that doesn't mean we will buy a new one.
  10. I get him wanting to buy it, I'm sad I think the teslas are bad ass especially the highest end and I've only ever had the performance versions of the S and X. But he's a POS and the last few weeks were the straw that broke the camel's back.
  11. Official in the F Elon F Tesla camp. Sucks they are good cars, probably going to get a F Elon sticker for my X. Not dumping it or selling it, but won’t buy another one.
  12. I’m officially well, off prednisone, the inhaler and I dropped Xanax for gummies and dropped those too. No alcohol, no other substance, sleeping well and post-Covid symptom free. Damn that was a terrible nightmare.
  13. We love our induction, safer, less toxic, better for the environment and comparable cooking experience to gas to the point we really see no trade off, there is no settling it’s equivalent, it’s really a no brainer imo. Anyone else considering it go for it.
  14. Those subreddits really show how addictive conspiracies can be. It’s sad, but probably as addictive as some of the most addictive substances. You can see the anxiety loop that appears resolved with understanding of the “real truth” but it’s short lived and then getting off conspiracy addiction creates another anxiety loop. And it does certainly give explanation to why the world seems so out of control giving back a short term sense of control from understanding. That false power is probably addictive too. For me, I can understand that as a former evangelical. And I can say life is harder in a lot of ways when you choose reality over pre-packaged but nonsensical stories. I feel bad for anyone trapped, I have a friend trapped he’s a former Jehovah’s Witness as a kid now full Q. I have family that’s conspiracy theory light believers too. Fully believe that the interconnection from the internet is the best and worst invention humans have ever made (maybe only second to the internal combustion engine and the advent of other CO2 producing technologies).
  15. Nah man they got the promise yo. Fucking queers stealing it so they can rape pillage and kill to get that rainbow back. They back baby they gettin’ it back!!
  16. To be fair he said anyone who advocates for an assassination should not be allowed to teach. He may have said more, but I wholeheartedly agree our teachers should not be advocating for the assassination of any president.
  17. 100% agree. I don’t really have a right to agree though since I left. But I left for reasons not entirely unrelated to your points. You are correct too, but not all churches are beyond salvage just many and most if not all of the white conservative ones.
  18. We have something similar it’s odd though it follows the outline of the sod squares to an extent… and it was the first to fry at the beginning of the summer in the part of the yard that is full sun from start of the morning until after 5pm. At least 10 hours maybe as much as 11 or 12 of full summer sun.
  19. Update on shade… first two pics are the side yard, it gets more sun in the summer than I expected but that cedar tree and up against the house in the shade there is pretty heavy shade (the cedar tree shade cover moves through the day). you can see it's hanging in there pretty well, even thriving. It's a tad thinner than the moderate sun areas but it's more than acceptable. The third pic is under the pool overflow / zero edge basin which does not go down to the ground so there is essentially a 2-2.5 foot ledge that shades over the grass under it starting around 11:30am or so and it's shade for the rest of the day. So less than 4 hours of direct sun light and it's very happy. The fourth and last pic is full sun.
  20. I mean there's a lot of truth in that one, now that I watched the whole thing.
  21. oh this is real? i'll check it out tomorrow.
