  1. I’ll post one tomorrow if I can we are flying back from San Miguel de Allende today after about a month being gone
  2. alright I’m in. Physical gold, silver and BTC. I got guns too. No conspiracy theories though and still liberal as fuck.
  3. Hopefully I won’t ever need this investment for walking around money.
  4. Short term pull back in effect now just patiently waiting for my entry point.
  5. Thanks, recently I’ve taken control over that last tranche of investments - the disruptive category and it’s really interesting when you buy assets and stocks that you believe in (granted your investment thesis still has to be right), then market sentiment and macro market influences are timing factors and nothing else. I’m having a great time doing the eval and picking. FBTC beat out a nuclear energy ETF and a fusion energy stock (broader energy play with exposure to fusion) for this round of buying. BTC seems way safer and less speculative tbqh.
  6. CPI came in hotter so some pressure on BTC today (gold too) trying to figure out the entry point. I’m a long term hold but like finding the precise time to buy. our asset mix is HEAVY real estate, HEAVY private businesses, followed by cash, physical gold/silver (inherited), broad market exposure and then disruptive sectors/stocks/assets. I think it’s time for BTC.
  7. I’m rarely a first adopter but I think I’m going to jump on the BTC train through the fidelity ETF. I’m trying to be an early adopter on other investments though, seems like mass disruption is coming in key areas maybe not on a civilization scale but currency, energy, AI, transportation, robotics. Not sure those all belong in this discussion but I do think there is about to be some serious wealth generation across disruptive sectors.
  8. You should start the thread.
  9. I’m sad.
  10. Proposed desal plant on Baffin Bay in my socials. Anglers and duck hunters up in arms.
  11. Found 33,000 cfs coming out of Buchanan rn. Not sure Starke and Wirtz.
  12. which ones are open aren't some large most small? I read the smaller are like 7k cfs the larger are over 18k cfs.
  13. crazy. can't see how LT doesn't cross 670 now. already up 30 feet in 10 days.
  14. takes several years. 637 ft at LT was 6-7 years in the making. we will have a reasonable lake level for several years.
  15. medina getting some action too but that lake is so far gone...
  16. nueces river basin... frio and nueces under the blob rn.
  17. it's moving north actually, slowly. one austin based meteorologist on the socials said maybe another 5 inches over the HC. effing crazy. LT could approach officially full if another bullseye strike occurs.
  18. I was about to say. well except the shitty spelling part.
  19. We will need AI to detect and filter out AI. I see an opportunity for AI free content creator platforms but hopefully it’s not for stupid cat videos and instead it’s for the informative good stuff.
  20. LCRA can take plenty of criticism but I’ve thought they’ve done well with flood operations over the years. Folks with first floors under the spillway level on Travis are never really a consideration (we have some friends on graveyard point) but when you think about the goal of minimizing floods along the Colorado they seem to do a good job, it’s mostly the tributaries that flood and down stream if the rain event is below Austin.
  21. Two week totals…. Some spots over 24 inches.
  22. Los Buhos picnic …
  23. One thing not well discussed is the quality of Mexican wine. Much like Greece, they keep the wines in country. Cuna de Tierra is an absolutely fantastic winery, enjoying Dos Buhos as well with a day in the countryside after enjoying Mexican wines the last few weeks in the restaurants. The Malbec below beat out Spanish wines in a Spanish wine festival. The Nebbiolo below was out of this world. We’ve been blown away at how good their wines are.
