  1. Three actually
  2. And they even said that no call on 3rd and 8 was a big deal.
  3. But the true holding that isn’t called can be outcome determinative. I’d rather the game slow down and it be played evenly. Evenly requires you allow holding inside the shoulders straight up but once the DL separates the holding becomes a significant impediment to the DL doing what it is supposed to do, I actually think the even nature of holding when locked up tilts heavily to the OL when the DL is separating and the hold is an outstretched arm. That needs to be called every time until the teams adjust. OLs have to let go once they are beat. To hold like that and not call it is a big reason why we lost last night and that’s on only one play.
  4. That’s not what I’m talking about, once a DL separates an outstretched OL arm tugging on the jersey around the numbers is a holding that should be called.
  5. I meant callable holding.
  6. There were multiple plays with multiple holds. It was insane. That shit needs to be addressed league wide.
  7. I’ve been a Quinn “defender” to a degree though I think I’m quite nuanced about it like just about everything in my life but I’ll say this, I’m ready too. i don’t think he solves all our problems that sark presents but I do think he’s a better fit for sark and I think once the game really slows down he’s going to rake it. I don’t expect to win it all next year but I do think arch will take us home. And I hope from there we stay at the mountain top.
  8. I hope you’re right, but we’ve seen way too many OL whiffs and ridged play calling decisions, situational awareness stupidity for me to believe it’s mostly Quinn. Again, I hope you’re right.
  9. My folks only got along when attending or watching UT sports. I knew it was serious when we lost to Georgia in the cotton bowl on the silent drive home from Dallas. I was indoctrinated too. I’m so thankful.
  10. It’s simply a reaction to “PUT ARCH IN NOW GODDAMMT.” Both are binary extremes. Yep, second most annoying trait. Howard had 2-3 as well, but not 5.
  11. I agree with this. I hope that and the deep ball is the only missing piece - I am still very concerned about run game scheme, play calling, putting the QB in bad spots, pass on first down INC/run on second down predictability, and absurd situational awareness. But there’s no doubt - once Arch matures - he will be a better QB than Quinn. The question that remains is will that alone be enough to win it all - I think so because I think Arch will be transcendent.
  12. Bringing your kids into the fold is super special. My kids loved Texas football and baseball early. They migrated away but have come back. We’ve watched the games this year as a family and included my 77 year old momma. They are precious memories. extracurricular activities kept us and still do keep us from going to games but next year we might try and make a few. Who knows. what’s most important is however you enjoy the games you share it with loved ones, because when you do that you build lasting core memories. hook em.
  13. Sark himself said that toss sweep is a score if you block it well… uh….
  14. For the haters I wanted them to know he took a dig he didn’t just smile like losing is fun.
  15. He actually said screw off then laughed according to sawyer
  16. But you have to have a guy who can extend plays and get away from pressure. Quinn doesn't do this at all. In fact, he does the opposite. He's a statue that self sacks himself even on plays with little to no pressure. You don't need a VY or Vick at all. But you are at a big disadvantage if your QB is as immobile as Quinn I said more athleticism that’s what that means. But we are not joining the ranks of the running qb offenses under sark and he will always pick the top pocket passer recruit over the top dual threat.
  17. You can disagree with me but sark has said it - pro style pocket passer thinks designed runs are too risky. He’s done it with arch some so maybe he will come around but he’s been adamant about what he wants in a qb and it’s not designed runs or the zone read.
  18. Hate to break it to you but that’s what sark wants. More athleticism sure but we will never consistently run the QB in sark’s offense.
  19. I’m queer, a progressive liberal, and was kicked out of the church many years ago. It might be math but I think you can put 2 and 2 together.
  20. This thread should be locked soon. It’s such a fucking beat down.
  21. Not sure what you disagree with because I agree with you. But I am not convinced that’s going to happen, hence my statement sark will need a transcendent QB to win it all.
  22. I actually think AFTER the shit show and it’s 4th down - you consider the fg and then play to shut them down and get the ball back with a chance to win with a TD. 4th and 8 isn’t really doable there.
  23. Spot on. If I can get him to relinquish play calling duties are you up for it? Seven figures man.
