Since this thread doesn’t exist and Fort Worth is bigger than Austin…
TEA takeover of FWISD proceeding. Summary: It’s not going to be like Houston and we won’t use scripted lessons.
My own take is that Fort Worth was already close to scripted lessons with the district taking over lesson plans and slides at the beginning of this school year. Then they realized they didn’t have the staff downtown to keep up with it (and the outside consultants, I guess, had come up short), so they had to ask for volunteer teachers to help work on the curriculum at an hourly pay rate lower than the pay rate for the most experienced teachers.
I get Peacock free from my Walmart+ account I get free from my Amex. I get HBOMax for free from my annual DoorDash account I get free from my Chase Sapphire. I get Paramount free from my 24/7 account. I also get like $30 per month towards my Disney+ bundle (ESPN and Hulu) from whatever credit card pays for it. I pay for Amazon Prime and $5 per month for Disney plus random subscriptions throughout the year for Crunchyroll or Netflix until my wife and I catch up on our shows.
It’s possible to cut the list price a lot.
At the beginning of college football season, I dropped YouTube for subscriptions to ESPN Unlimited in my Disney+ bundle and Fox Sports One or whatever it’s called. Saved tons of money.
I use Venmo, CashApp, PayPal, Apple Pay, Venmo, and Zelle. No problems. When I had my own business, I’d have the business CashApp in my email signature so people could gratuitously pay me if they were so inclined. (It happened a few times a year.) People won’t standardize. That’s why I have so many.
I’m caught up with The Boys to watch Gen V season 2. It’s not perfect because there are some adult YA elements, but it’s a better ensemble cast than The Boys. A more coherent storyline, too.
