  1. For future, I would think the adding an insulated box like you were thinking would take care of future issues, unless you have easy access to electrical outlet (or are comfortable tapping the electrical box there) in which case I would just get a "Water Pipe Heat Cable" off Amazon.
  2. At some point, don't the Bama BMDs just close up shop (or have they already done that) and take a year or two off. It's not like you can't start things up quickly when desired.
  3. I didn't think so, but obviously others have. I didn't even think it was good, more alright.
  4. Have to think the hire would be more about understanding how the old guard SEC teams "operate".
  5. Those heated seating areas look mighty toasty right now. I'd hate to be close enough to see but far enough to "feel" those.
  6. Word I've read is group of 8 were together. 6 were ok to jump at once, possibly other 2 too quickly (possibly from overly dramatic rise) or didn't adhere to plan. Either way, too much weight dropped too quickly causing the rise of balloon to "over" flatten/collapse balloon causing dramatic descent that couldn't be recovered from as balloon needs to replace the hot air forced out with new air that would then need to be heated to keep it afloat.
  7. I voted about 90/10 Dem/Rep last cycle, but I don't really see an issue with the changes they are making. Seems reasonable to me. Some kids need to work, some families need their kids to work. I'm not sure I'm ok telling them the government is not allowing you to work even if you want to. We're talking 16 and 17 year olds, not 12 year olds. A large percentage of those are expected to be on their own when they turn 18. Are their going to be some kids possibly exploited with this change, possibly? Are those same kids not going to be exploited if the change isn't made? The law never applied to kids working for their parents anyway, this just allows them to work for someone else.
  8. As much, no, but water heaters account for roughly 18% of home electricity use, so it's not an insignificant amount. Like adding another 35% of homes turning on heating systems that weren't previously on in TX (assuming a/c/heat roughly 50%)
  9. A lot of people run their air/heat on a schdule so that it runs less when they are sleeping and under blankets etc. Add in water heaters for showers, stoves, microwaves for breakfast, offices turning on heat/lights etc, then business starting and machinery equipment etc starts getting turned on, it just adds up, just not households. Big ones in morning. It's why you can easily blow out a circuit trying to run more than one on it.
  10. Roughly 60% of Texas homes and businesses have electric heating systems.
  11. Man that was bad...like slow motion bad
  12. Better win it all this year then before they have film
  13. The part where a guy without a championship's buyout will easily be $50M+ instead of $10-15M
  14. It's the sad state of coaching today. Deboer probable given the speech of you do well this is the last job you'll have. You do poorly, this is the last job you will ever need with the buyout we'll provide.
  15. Coaches and players REALLY need to visit College Station before commiting to them. This is getting out of hand and is embarrassing.
  16. Turned out to be innocent trading by a couple US firms. One took an unusually large UAL short option position but also bought a large AA position, was just hedging. Another was traced to a firms newsletter to subscribers recommending the short position. Followers reacted as they had on prior newsletter recommendations. Like those or the plane above example, how the SEC would handle it would be they get a list of abnormal or large gains for an event. Those traders are questioned as to why they made the trades. If not valid or they can't defend their decision, the trades would be undone at a minimum, charges possible depending on info given.
  17. It's not considered public for insider trader purposes until it's been widely reported to the general public. Editing....more I think about it though there is the question of there would be enough doubt as to a direct line to what company might be at issue. I'm now leaning to SEC would likely undo your trade if sizeable, but might let it stick and doubtful any criminal charges would be given.
  18. Also still don't know who his DC will be. That's going to make or break his time there. It's the one area he struggled trying to solve at Washington as well.
  19. Yeah, I'm not tipping at counter service places anymore (unless I've got some ridiculous order or something). It's gone too far, only way it goes back is us not paying. You would never have been asked to tip at a place like that 5 or 10 years ago, why do they all of a sudden feel they can ask? (all while raising prices more than enough to cover inflation and such)
  20. The fact refrigerator drawers and their rails are plastic and always break. Like I paid 2K for this...can you add some metal or something so they don't break.
  21. Still kills me that he only got 10 years - basically same amount of time he got to enjoy all that ill gain (died in prison though) but his wife... playing dumb got only probation and community service. It's no wonder people attempt these kind of things when seeing those type penalties. "I had no idea" is criminal in itself as she flies dozens of times a year on a private jet spending millions of dollars that her accountant for a "struggling" fruitcake business husband "made".
