  1. My general rule in life is don't fuck with animals that have have teeth, claws, or fangs and a faster reaction time than I do. This guy messes with cobras, black mambas, and vipers; it was a matter of 'if' he got bit, it was just a matter of 'when' he got bit. Seemed like a nice guy, but he was playing russian roulette.
  2. From the article. I agree that trying to counter every play would be hard to communicate to the 'D'. But on some downs flashing a sign for Run, Pass, RPO, or a specific player would be very doable. As for decoding the calls, if you can grok Spider 2 Y Banana, you can pick it up.
  3. I was not familiar with that term; and now I am. Well, not actually you, but the fact that I really should wait until January.
  4. Opening Day Skiing: Good idea or not? I haven't been skiing since 1996. (Re: Kids) A Euro trip is on the books for 2025 and would line up with a few days available for skiing near Grenoble. Before I do that, I need to get on skis again; maybe more than once. My possible ski weekends are Nov 22-24, or Jan 10-12. I'm looking at Park City since it looks like it's easy access from the airport (even Uber-able) and is projected to open on Nov 22nd. What does opening weekend a major ski resort typically look like? A well oiled machine? A shit-show of untrained staff? Filled to capacity? Light crowds? Obviously the weather has to do it's thing, but assuming it does, does the first weekend make for a good time, or is it better to wait until early January. I'll hang up and listen.
  5. Don't start no shit, won't be no shit. I hope that guest at least learned a lesson. (One that most people learn by about age 10)
  6. One of these things is not like the others, One of these things just doesn't belong, Can you tell which thing is not like the others
  7. I consider my shit posting warning as a badge of honor. Don't try and F with me, man. I'm certified badass; I got a shit posting warning on the internet. Ya take the internet cred where you can get it.
  8. Two more stickers for the workout box 30 minute wait on an early Saturday morning. I'm not sure if the turnout is going to be higher this year or if more people are just using early voting. I don't recall as long of lines in years past.
  9. Let's get this thing going. My liver is ready for a (good kind of) party.
  10. Trust but verify: Hey Google, "Does bali have spiders everywhere?" Google: No, Bali doesn't have spiders everywhere, but some areas have been known to have large spider congregations: I thought I wanted to go to Bali someday. Thank you for setting me straight.
  11. True, but a company like IBRX could hit it big, flounder in testing purgatory, or go out of business. Two of those paths won't surpass NVDA returns. Let's hope for the change-the-world cancer cure.
  12. Almost 95% of my portfolio is in AI and semiconductor stocks and ETFs. My way of diversifying is I just I bought a small amount of IBRX at $6.9092. Show me what you got. Let's see if it can out grow NVDA.
  13. The part that confuses me is where the witness says they went. 'westbound' is down the street past the neighbor's house... there are trees, but no "wooded" area. The wooded area is north across the street.
  14. A quick peek at the bexar CAD show their address to be 520 E Olmos Dr. There are no houses directly across the street to make viewing viable and the windows in the house on the west side are blocked by the Simpson's house. So it's the neighbor at 510 (on the right in the picture below) next to them that had to be the one to report it. Even at 11pm at night that would be easy and clear enough to see in the level of detail the witness reported. They could still be making it up, but it seems credible.
  15. For the fun of it I just asked ChatGPT to suggest alternatives to the husband in this case. It gave me 16 options broken into seven categories: Personal life issues: Mental health or stress: Financial or professional troubles: Potential outside threats: Character attacks on the investigation The lack of physical evidence Social life and unusual behaviors Were any of them plausible? (affair, drug use, angry client, etc). Sure, but with no real details they wouldn't hold water for long. I assume his legal team needs to find some tiny amount of coincidence or real circumstantial details they can mix one of more with. If all the State has is circumstantial evidence the bar seems low to craft a plausible alt story. (Unless the guy is an unlikeable piece-of-shit like Scott Peterson, in which case he's screwed no matter what)
  16. Turns out we've been beating up on drunk hobos. I thought at the time that the Michigan game was an impressive win over a team that would finish in the top 10. They now have 3 losses and will probably lose to Oregon, Indiana, and OSU. They'll probably finish 4-5 in conference and 6-6 overall. Similarly, Oklahoma had 1 loss when we played them and were ranked #18. They'll probably only win the Maine game from here on out and finish 1-7 in the SEC and 5-7 overall. Not resume building wins. Georgia is the only team we've faced so far that will _finish_ the year in the top 25, and they kicked our ass. Our current #5 ranking is probably to high but hopefully we are better than Vandy and Aggy who will both probably finish top 25. We have 3 cream puffs and 2 hard games. If we can get to the playoffs anything is possible.
  17. Texas 32 Vandy 24 Passing yards 280 If you told me before the season that I'd be predicting an 8 point win over Vandy I would have assumed that Texas was having a disaster of a season. A top 25 matchup with Vandy in week 9? I did not see that coming.
  18. You ran a 2 hour half while pushing a chair? Well done, that's hardcore.
  19. Turns out, the 4th page of the official NCAA Football rule book has this as a title: 2024 NCAA® FOOTBALL RULES AND INTERPRETATIONS https://www.ncaapublications.com/p-4705-2024-ncaa-football-rules-book-online-only.aspx Learn something new every day.
  20. What rule is that an 'interpretation' of? That just sounds like an entirely new rule. I was not aware that refs had a pile of 'interpretations' that aren't actually in the rule book. Are these published somewhere?
  21. Let's revisit the Week 2 AP Top 25 11. Utah 16. Oklahoma State 17 KSU 19. Kansas 20. Arizona 4 out of 5 of thoses ranked teams are probably reasonable. But Kansas? Kansas?
  22. I don't know about the Universe, but it did create a black hole and destroy the earth. What? You don't remember when this happened?
  23. More vids. Reports are that linemen were being staged there.
