  1. The bold part is why it feels like BS to me. Having a few people she told ignore her is very believable, but having everyone she told over many years, including cops all ignore her starts to seem less likely. There has to be more to her reporting, if it even happened, than is being reported. A teen telling a cop that her dad killed people and she knows where the bodies are is not going to be ignored unless it's mixed with something else, like "we had a meeting on Mars with aliens, and then my dad killed people and I know where the bodies are". She's either lying about telling people or there is something else that undercut her credibility.
  2. I enjoyed his time at Texas, but I'm in the boat that didn't think he'd even make an NFL roster, let alone start in his 2nd season. Glad be be wrong about that one. My QB talent evaluation skills are on par with most NFL offices.
  3. I read the posted articles and my bull shit detector is throwing up a red flag on this one. I'll bet big that they don't find any bodies.
  4. Outside of TCU, college football isn't having a great year in the state of Texas. TCU 4-0, 7-0, B12 Texas 3-2, 5-3, B12 A&M 1-3, 3-4, SEC Baylor 2-2, 3-4, B12 Tech 2-2, 3-4, B12 Houston 2-1, 3-4, AAC UTSA 4-0, 6-2, CUSA NT 3-1, 4-4, CUSA Rice 2-1, 4-3, CUSA UTEP 2-2, 4-4, CUSA SMU 1-2, 3-4, CUSA Tx State 1-3, 3-5, SunBelt The group I've ranked #2 to #7 are shades of grey. Hat's off to Coach T. and UTSA for stepping up towards the big boys. I'd say they are closer to the Longhorns than TxState is to them.
  5. Where do you do the swimming workouts? An outside pool? Outside open water? A heated indoor pool?
  6. I started running again in April, and worked my ass off for months to lose weight and get in shape. I ran a Half Marathon in the heat of July in New Braunfels (2:01) and a second Half Marathon at the beginning of October in Australia (1:46). And then I came home from that trip and had no more goals.... I probably was a bit physically and emotionally burnt out, but I just completely stopped working out and took a break from eating well and getting good sleep... In 2 and a half weeks that I've been back, I've gained back 22 pounds. It's some kind of personality flaw; I can't get motivated without a big challenge in front of me. I don't seem to have sustaining mode...I either need to go hard at a new big challenge or do nothing. I'm not sure what to do next. I've done a couple marathons 15 years ago and that doesn't excite me. More Half Marathons? There is some smaller motivation there. Has anyone done one of the trendy Obstacle races? (Spartan, Tough Mudder, etc) Are they worth doing? A long triathlon sounds kind of fun, if I had a warm place to swim. The thought of swimming in the neighborhood pool in January sounds terrible. A long bike race would be something new... I need to get something on the calendar soon.
  7. When Lifetime makes this into a movie in a few years, they'll probably just call it "The Inside Jewelry Heist"... and it's not going to be a who-done-it type movie. I'll bet the cops have a pretty good idea who did it, but knowing and proving are two different things. They're just waiting for some dumb-ass to give his wife a half million dollar ring for Christmas. It's only a matter of time.
  8. I saw that yesterday; I think it may have even been posted here. His comments on Ukraine seem to be correct of what info we have, and he probably does pin down how it re-entered America military doctrine for use in modern urban warfare, but I don't think he gets the origin correct. While fast raids have probably been used throughout history, I think the origins of something that looks like the Thunder Run is probably the US Civil War where Forrester et al. used cavalry raids is a similar way.
  9. Go where exactly? Over to ULA? Virgin Galactic? Northrup Grumman? Arianespace? Maybe go back to having the Russians sending up US astronauts again? The US Government / NASA needs SpaceX. Period. Full stop.
  10. What the fuck does "...I am limited in what I can say without explicit permission from Niemann..." mean? Is he asking Niemann for permission to defame him more than what he already has? Fuck that Noise. Carlsen need to put up or shut up. Either he has something real, or he doesn't. And it needs be be a bit more concrete than 'He wasn't tense when he was out playing me'.
  11. I will admit, I counted this chicken before it was hatched. I've been out on the bike for the past two hours..... and I come back to this. WTF, man.
  12. UK did a smashing job of strategic thinking with the Sykes-Picot Agreement. Put that Indian experience to good use.
  13. After seeing the impact of Starlink in Ukraine, I'd bet the CIA has a few hundred terminals staged in the area. Allowing the protesters to communicate and coordinate is probably more valuable than give them weapons right now.
  14. I'm not sure why we don't see that surprise on-sides kickoff more often. ....... Oh SHIT.
  15. Damn, is this Goebbels grandson? Deep-set big eye that don't blink quite enough, slicked back hair, and skinny-as-fuck from snorting pure-evil all day.
  16. Damn. Putin called for his own Order 66.
  17. Wow. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess you agree with this speech: more than this one: You are either: misguided, naïve, evil, a dumbass or a troll.
  18. Serious question: What news sources do you consume that it seem like it's a stalemate?
  19. I'm going to have to go ahead and sort of disagree with you there. Let's just suppose that the Germans don't halt for 3 days (May 1940) at Dunkirk and they kill or capture those 300K British soldiers. And let's suppose that the Germans stay focused in the Battle of Britain (Oct 1940) and gain complete air superiority over Britain and the surrounding water. Churchill can fight on the beaches all he wants but he wouldn't have any better luck than the French did. ...and now back to waiting for the Crimean Bridge to get smashed. Come on and do it.
  20. This bugs me way more than it probably should. Come on ESPN, this is just lazy.
  21. And that's why we have guns.
  22. Damn it. I wasn't going to get sucked in. I was just going to watch 15 minutes while I walked in place and get my daily steps to validate by opinion that it was going to suck. I'm in. That said, they really need to up their music game to get anywhere near GoT.
  23. The kid needs to seriously bulk up before joining the Association. At his current weight, no way he gets on the floor much. NBA players can handle a 7'5" bean pole on both ends of the court. If Zion could gift this kid 70 lbs, they'd both be better off.
  24. Add Cassowaries to the list to animals that would Fucking Wreck Kevin. This is a Cassowary claw. Yeah, I'm going to have to pass on whacking his necksticle.
  25. "KFOR will take whatever measures are necessary..." That's a FAFO warning if I ever saw one.
