  1. I've of the opinion that you can't make money off those unless you have insider information.
  2. As of today, both Barry and Ashton have exactly 344 carries in their magical season.
  3. AVGO up 29% TODAY!!! What the hell, that's shit is supposed to happen to things like IBRX, not a company with a Trillion dollar market cap. I sometime tell myself that I know how the stock market works. But I don't.
  4. Yes, yes you are.
  5. The Heisman is announced tomorrow (Dec 14th). That's a mistake. With the playoff schedule, that's way to early. Boise's Playoff game is not until Dec 31th. Jeanty is 131 yards away from the ALL TIME Single Season record. All-Fucking-Time. Short of injury, he's getting that record. He went for 192 against #1 Oregon; he'll get 131 yards against either SMU or Pedo. Jeanty NOT winning would be as big of a joke as VY not winning. All Time Single Season Rushing Leaders. Rank Player Yards (non bowl yds) Year School 1 Barry Sanders 2628 1988 Oklahoma State 2 Melvin Gordon 2587 2014 Wisconsin 3 Kevin Smith 2567 2007 UCF 4 Ashton Jeanty 2497 2024 Boise State 5 Marcus Allen 2342 1981 Southern California Hunter is great, and playing both sides is amazing, but Jeanty is about to pass Barry Sanders.
  6. I'm finding it hard to believe we lost 1100 pieces of armor during the Gulf War. Some quick Google searches does not turn up a number anywhere close to that. That makes me wonder what else is made up on that chart.
  7. The Bullshit spigot has fully opened. The Headline :Google says its new quantum chip indicates that multiple universes exist The Link: https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/google-says-quantum-chip-indicates-192059739.html The Money Quotes: The benchmark that they claim proves a multiverse is the same crap they've been pushing for years. It's called "Random Circuit Sampling" (RCS) and is a made up task of "sampling from a random quantum circuit". Yes, that's right the benchmark requires a quantum circuit. Classical computers don't have quantum circuits to sample from, so they have to simulate the quantum circuit and do stupid shit like generate all possible outcomes. It's as stupid as if you wanted to benchmark an Apple computer reading from an Apple branded disk against a PC. But since PC's don't have Apple branded disks, you make the PC simulate an entire Apple computer including MacOS and the Apple disk drive. Everyone would laugh at that, so they wrap the RCS test in layers upon layers of PhD level Math and Physics. I was struggling to describe RCS, so I asked ChatGPT about it:
  8. 1. Lil Wayne 42 - Probably due to drugs 2. Shaq 52 - Sorry, big men go early 3. Suge Knight 59 - In prison with a host of health issues 4. Vladimir Putin 72 - Can't die soon enough 5. Willie Nelson 91 - A National Treasure, but time runs out for everyone 6. Ted Turner 86 - Sadly he has Dementia; the last photo I saw earlier in the year did not look good 7. Diddy 55 - Multiple options: self inflicted, a victim, someone hoping it all goes away if he dies 8. Selena Gomez 32 - Just has a sleeping pills and booze kinda vibe 9. Johnny Depp 61 - Hard living, but he is not in fact related to Keef 10. Cara Delevingne 32 - She looks like a walking eating disorder
  9. Buy IBRX they said. It will go up they said. My $700 investment is now worth about $300. But i'm leaving my SELL order at $26, cause it could happen.
  10. That's why you're a mascot.
  11. My internal bullshit detector is starting to go off. The Pennsylvania State Police release the above photos which would almost have to be from a body cam. So this is exactly what the officer saw. How does the above photos mesh with the earlier photos and this quote: https://www.cbsnews.com/pittsburgh/news/luigi-mangione-altoona-mcdonalds-hero-unitedhealthcare-ceo-shooting/ The is no way on Gods Green Earth that you could "recognized him immediately". Maybe LEO were given additional photos. Perhaps if they had already figured out his name, they might have distributed other photos...Seems unlikely since we haven't heard about that. I'm now starting to wonder about the 911 call and if it actually even exists. Will be curious if it even exists.
  12. Grade A Bullshit. The tweet says "a breakthrough that can reduce errors exponentially as we scale up using more qubits, cracking a 30-year challenge in the field" Breaking that down: The "30-year challenge" is the fundamental problem in quantum computing that "qubits", the rough quantum computing equivalent of a bit, are unreliable and prone to failure. https://www.livescience.com/technology/computing/google-willow-quantum-computing-chip-solved-a-problem-the-best-supercomputer-taken-a-quadrillion-times-age-of-the-universe-to-crack The breakthrough, and maybe it is a breakthrough, is that they use some type of array to error correct and the error correction gets better as the array gets bigger. Sounds great, right? Until you read deeper and realize the scale of what they tested: This image is from the Google blog: https://research.google/blog/making-quantum-error-correction-work/ Yep, you're reading that right, the breakthrough research is with 17 qubits, 49 qubits, and 97 qubits. The entire Willow chip has a grand total of 105 qubits. Not exactly ready to take on any conventional computers. As for the claims of solving a problem that would take a conventional computer a lifetime. Almost certainly bullshit. I don't care enough to dig into what they are talking about here, but just about every other time a similar claim has been made for quantum computing, someone looks at it and realizes they have the conventional computer doing some unoptimized brute force type algorithm. A quick rewrite to a good algorithm and it crushes the quantum computer. Or, another one I've seen, is the "beat the conventional computer" is based on a simulation of what could happen if you built the quantum computer scaled up by a million times.
  13. Everyone knew the "It's the wrong guy" conspiracy would start right away, and it has. Not buying into that, but... All I'm saying is if the guy on the left (mug shot) walks by me in McDonalds, I'm not connecting him with the photo on the right. Zero out of 100 times would I connect those.

  15. A 4 part answer: My main bottle for general training runs is this Nathan waist belt: https://www.nathansports.com/collections/hydration/products/peak-lite-hydration-waist-pack?variant=40634775142488 For me it stays put and I don't even feel it anymore. For medium or really hot runs where I know I'll need a little more water, I've gotten accustomed to carrying a disposable bottle in each hand. Drink those first and there's always a garbage can. For long runs that go over a known course and when I have the time, I drive the course just before my run and stash bottles. I have a 13 mile and 6 mile course around my house where I probably do this 15 or so times a summer. One spot is behind a light post, another is behind a bush, etc; all slightly hidden in low traffic areas. Nobody has ever messed with any of them. For much longer runs that where stashing bottle ahead of time isn't practical, such as when I decide I'm going on a long run but will go wherever the road takes me, I have a EULANT hydration backpack. I probably only use it 2 times a year. It does works, and sometimes it's the only option, but it is a little more constraining, it take a bit longer to actually drink, and I find on really hot runs, I start worrying about how much water is left.
  16. The shooting was 5 days ago. He was at the bus terminal by 8am after the shooting. What the hell has he been doing? I would love for it to turn out that he has been riding Greyhound Busses this whole time? Buy a ticket somewhere, get off and just turn around and buy another ticket someplace else with a different ID. He's a computer guy, maybe he thought it would work like The Onion Router (TOR). Or maybe he was thinking that "They can't catch me if I don't know where I'm going." Also, he's probably the first Ivy leaguer to ride Greyhound in a decade.
  17. All I remember being taught in school was that if you dive under your desk fast enough, you might just live.
  18. Snitch was probably a rich white guy. Fuck those rich, white, boomer types. We they ruin everything.
  19. Don't be surprised if you hear about Messi ordering late night Fast Food around town. https://www.amazon.com/Costume-Coverage-Visible-Football-Headgear/dp/B0DDTWMP8Z/ $3.99 (+3.00 shipping)
  20. Timeline from https://www.cbsnews.com/news/brian-thompson-united-healthcare-ceo-shooting-suspect-gunman-new-york/ 6:15am exits subway 6:17 inside starbucks 6:45 shooting 6:48 rides bike into central park 6:56 "appears" to exits park on a bike on upper west side near 70th or 80th street 7:04 near W 86th on foot and takes a taxi to Port Authority Bus Terminal near GW bridge "But investigators are still unclear which bus he may have taken, Kenny said." Assuming they were tracking the correct person leaving the park, he was probably out of NYC by 9am. There are so many cameras in Manhattan I have no doubt that they will eventually trace his movements to the specific bus. They might even track him getting off a bus at a terminal somewhere, but small towns aren't going to have much tracking beyond that. Tracing his movement is probably a dead end. Which means they need to identify him by a fingerprint, a photo, the dna on the starbucks cup, the backpack he left in the park, or the shells he left. Time will tell if he was sloppy or he knew what he was doing and left them nothing to go on.
  21. I'm more that a little shocked that the fact the NYPD hasn't released his identity. Do they not yet know the name of the shooter? Is that possible. With the clear image of his face, and all the other little clues, I would have thought they already had him identified and were just trying to find where he is right now. I assumed for the past couple days they were just staying quiet until they got their ducks in a row. Maybe a cross-state search/arrest warrant takes a little extra time. I'm now starting to wonder if they really don't know who the shooter is. That would be amazing (to me).
  22. I was thinking someplace a little closer
  23. Can someone explain this in a few concise sentences. Did Russia just dump a shitload of money into TikTok and it was real legitimate voters that they influenced to vote they way they wanted, or did they use illegal voters, pre stuffed ballot boxes, or incorrect vote counts? If it was just money directed at TikTok, was it money to individual influencers to create the content they wanted, or was it money to the TikTok corporation to control what videos were shown?
  24. I've seen still photos of David Muir, but I have honestly never seen him do a telecast until this clip. Does he alway deliver the news in partial profile and is there something wrong with his right arm?
  25. Right on the Tectonic Plate boundary. Maybe 'The Big One" is queueing up.
