  1. I really enjoy it and have for a while now. I participate in a lot of travel, weed, automotive, home, pool, and veteran's forums daily. Surly has its place and I enjoy you assholes but each market has its target audience.
  2. If you had a CEL and it went away it "latched" to the ECM. You can have it read for peace of mind but if there is no performance degradation and all operating parameters are normal I would press on with life. Could of been a glitch in communication between circuits or a sensor got wet, bad ground who knows. Modern cars are really finicky like that.
  3. That's absolutely crazy, and I see why folks just do it themselves. You can't swing a bat and not hit 4 pool service companies down here, they're everywhere.
  4. Agree100% This is where it pays off to perform research on your credit cards. After stacking offers, discounts and utilizing your loyalty tier to leverage said offers, vacations can be very affordable.
  5. I have a small veteran company that services my pool for $150 a month and have used them for 3+ yrs now (NW Florida.) They've never raised the prices and are genuinely good people. I travel a lot as a defense business consultant, so servicing the pool on my own is not an option.
  6. The pyramids are breathtaking, we did a few Mayan Ruin tours, Tulum and Coba to name a few. After a long day, we had to cool off in the water in the "sinkholes". For a poor country, there is some amazing views.
  7. In playa del Carmen now and it's amazing. Food, people, and the US dollar are strong, nothing not to like...except the mafia, taxis, driving, and fucking speed bumps everywhere.
  8. Hang in there bro, sometimes the wait is so worth it. I turned down two jobs before accepting my current one in April. I'm a huge proponent of leveraging Linkedin for jobs and referrals. Sometimes it just takes that one person to read your post and boom the rest is history. My last two jobs have come from LI.
  9. Down here in Tulum, Mexico and these just taste different than ours. Shits good though.
  10. We have a roomba i9something or another and it's been awesome. You have to replace the filter and rollers every 4-6 months and we replaced a battery 4ish year's in. It's easy after it maps your house. No self-emptying or mopping features (not surly 1%) but we have it set to start when we go out for work and it runs every other day as we have a husky/pit cross.
  11. Flying AA to Mexico today and noticed they don't have the traditional in-flight entertainment. Everything is from your own device; streaming etc. Haven't flown AA in a while as I'm a Delta loyalist, just something that struck me as odd.

    High

Have you ever thought about how can birds fly and maneuver on a dime yet do not have a vertical stabilizer like airplanes? In all of our years of aviation, there have only been 2 'production' model aircraft that don't have vertical stabs. Shit, I think about as a retired Air Force crew chief when I'm high. My new kick is tinctures. Just hits different, much slower, and comes on hard few hours later. Like right now boys \m/
  13. Maybe I'm old but I still use them. Have two that I keep with me at all times on business trips. Find it easier to rip materials then wait for emails/clouds/backups, especially in other countries w/their IT security policies. Then again I have a lot of old lectures, notes etc on them.
  14. Season 5 starts tonight.
  15. You feast then a day later there's fury.
  16. Diesel trucks always seem to bring strong money, especially in select southern markets. Fuel, filters, and fluids are the biggest issues for any diesel. You have to get those right or it will cost you. Right fuel additives (sulfur), correct micron filter for applicable system (recommended aftermarket filtration down to 2 microns) and lastly change the fluids on schedule with the correct type/viscosity for your usage. If the above was done, I would hesitate dropping good money on a diesel with 200k miles.
  17. I was in the Netherlands the other day and grabbed a bag of paprika Pringles, it was damn good. I enjoy the different flavors from across the pond.
  18. In Florida you don't need a C license but every state has different rules or it depends on its weight. About roads, Louisiana says hi.
  19. You'll love it and can now join the diesel truck thread. All the big 3 have negatives and positives, it's a matter of what you're willing to put up with. I enjoy the pre-emission stuff, much easier to deal with and has a lot fewer sensors. However, I'm a simple guy and don't care for the frills of today. My 07 Dodge 2500 is a work truck and they are meant to be just that IMO.
