  1. V1 is dependent on many variables, including aircraft config, flap settings, runway length, engine power setting, and aircraft weight to name a few.
  2. Got'em!
  3. 1) Buy a bottle of daily vitamin gummies 2) Empty them out, replace w/cannbius gummies 3) Toss in your luggage 4) Profit
  4. Did she book basic economy tickets? Some of the issues, re-booking of tickets, standby changes, having to check bags, etc... sounds like a basic economy ticket was booked. If so, this is why you NEVER book basic economy. You have zero freedom under that fare code. Pro tip: if she can talk to a "redcoat" they are the supervisors of the front-line customer service agents and have some more flexibility when it comes to overriding booking issues. You can find them very easily, as they wear a red coat/jacket, and cruise the terminal from gate to gate. Hope this helps.
  5. YMMV? Time for gas and a lighter [emoji41]
  6. https://www.on3.com/db/zach-rice-122996/ He went to UNC.
  7. As a person who enjoys flying and a Delta loyalist tell her to keep all of her receipts. Send them an email, explain the issue, attach itemized receipts/invoices, include your address and other details, and ask if they can mail you a reimbursement check. If it's their fault (not the weather etc), they will likely send at least partial reimbursement (they have limits based on each city). Airport agents have nothing to do with this by the way, and don't call, send an email or use the written Contact Us link on the website because they will want copies of receipts. Side note, tires did exactly what they were designed to do. The brakes overheated due to an overweight, high-speed brake application and the thermal plugs in the tires melted. Thus allowing a controlled tire deflation. Seen this many times during my time in the Air Force. Glad she's safe!
  8. Agree 100%, I fly (a lot) with carts in my carry-on and never had an issue. TSA is worried about terrorists and bombs, not gummies and flower.
  9. An old farmer's trick, grab some bars of Irish soap and put them in a sock and place it in the truck/hood etc. Mice and rats hate the minty smell, we did that for the tractors on our farm, and never had an issue after that.

  11. Glad it work out for ya bud. I see 2nd Gen Dodge trucks for sale and people asking $20k+ and it just blows my mind. Like anything, it's worth what someone is going to pay for it and there is an ass for every seat.
  12. You can find them every now and then at swap meets but they are getting harder to find that's for sure. Looked on eBay for my bee, and people are asking stupid money for them.
  13. Agree, because dealerships will upsell you on some BS that you don't need or could do yourself. Some manufacturers have limits on what an OTC scanner can see or do within their ECM/PCM. Unless you have a snap-on solus (or similar with OE "keys" then you can retrieve the code. If it's a gas cap slap some Vaseline on that thing and she'll be good. Spit will work short term (that's what she said).
  14. I really enjoy it and have for a while now. I participate in a lot of travel, weed, automotive, home, pool, and veteran's forums daily. Surly has its place and I enjoy you assholes but each market has its target audience.
  15. If you had a CEL and it went away it "latched" to the ECM. You can have it read for peace of mind but if there is no performance degradation and all operating parameters are normal I would press on with life. Could of been a glitch in communication between circuits or a sensor got wet, bad ground who knows. Modern cars are really finicky like that.
  16. European car?
  17. That's absolutely crazy, and I see why folks just do it themselves. You can't swing a bat and not hit 4 pool service companies down here, they're everywhere.
  18. Agree100% This is where it pays off to perform research on your credit cards. After stacking offers, discounts and utilizing your loyalty tier to leverage said offers, vacations can be very affordable.
  19. I have a small veteran company that services my pool for $150 a month and have used them for 3+ yrs now (NW Florida.) They've never raised the prices and are genuinely good people. I travel a lot as a defense business consultant, so servicing the pool on my own is not an option.
  20. The pyramids are breathtaking, we did a few Mayan Ruin tours, Tulum and Coba to name a few. After a long day, we had to cool off in the water in the "sinkholes". For a poor country, there is some amazing views.
  21. In playa del Carmen now and it's amazing. Food, people, and the US dollar are strong, nothing not to like...except the mafia, taxis, driving, and fucking speed bumps everywhere.
  22. Hang in there bro, sometimes the wait is so worth it. I turned down two jobs before accepting my current one in April. I'm a huge proponent of leveraging Linkedin for jobs and referrals. Sometimes it just takes that one person to read your post and boom the rest is history. My last two jobs have come from LI.
  23. Down here in Tulum, Mexico and these just taste different than ours. Shits good though.
  24. Good to know as we may upgrade later on.
