  1. #21 Texas physcially dominates a previously undefeated oklahoma team and makes their QB look like the spare that he is to the tune of 23-6. The win keeps all of the preseason goals alive for another week while Texas will play the second half of the season in survive and advance mode. Next up, a road trip to the bluegrass state to take on Kentucky. 6:00pm Saturday night on ESPN.
  2. this is why i try not to post during games (or immediately afterwards). don't always succeed, but seeing a thread like this one the day after the game is always way more amusing when you aren't the one who started it.
  3. he subbed in for Stroh in game 5 and then started game 6 of his true freshman season. that's the definition of getting him in early to fast track his development.
  4. yeah, i'm not ready to think big picture again yet. yesterday was glorious and it allowed all of the preseason goals to live on for another week, but with almost no margin for error left, i can't think of anything beyond winning the next one right now.
  5. lol for real. we're all well aware of who Kevin Durant is. we've been watching him for almost 20 years.
  6. it's also hard to say that Sark displays conservative decsion-making under pressure (how many times does he go for it on 4th down rather than kick a FG?) and that back to back CFP playoff semifinals is underachieving relative to roster talent.
  7. first 3 questions are about the o-line. also Sark looks like he's sweating a bit.
  8. i couldn't bring myself to pick the Cardinals so I went with the Rams instead. nice to see I would have lost either way.
  9. Texas is physicially dominated on both lines of scrimmage by a 1-3 Florida team in the swamp and turns to the Cotton Bowl for one last chance to make this season mean anything. Coach Sark will address the media at 11:30.
  10. Jiri is awesome
  11. flood needs to fuck off. absolutely no excuse for this in year 5. the o-line is a fucking abortion.
  12. nowhere as good as we thought it was. solid group, but nowhere close to elite. so disapointing.
  13. i mean it was dumb to ever call a run play because obviously that wasn't gonna happen, but beyond that what calls did he have wrong today? there were several touchdowns that didn't happen because the offensive line couldn't give Arch 3 seconds to wait to throw the ball.
  14. they can all fuck off. biggest group of spares i've ever seen in my life.
  15. that game was not on Arch, but not knowing to throw the fucking ball away twice on the last drive is fucking ridiculous.
  16. i guess espn changed their rules on the tie thing. also, i fucking told myself to avoid the Thursday night games at all cost early in the year and i still went ahead and picked the Rams last night.
  17. I think the UTEP game broke his spirit. it came damn close to breaking mine. plus, as mentioned, this has been a really weird start to the season with the way the nonconference schedule was set up. I think a lot of us are in wait and see mode right now and are hoping we see something tomorrow that gets us all back in the swing of things.
  18. was it because that was a moronic statement?
  19. I've had that same thought about this game all week long.
  20. so what are the chances the swamp is only 60-70% full due to bad weather and pure apathy?
  21. We are somehow only 3 weeks away from the start of the NBA season and our Rockets should be one of the better teams in the league. Obviously, Fred Van Vleet's injury sort of dampens things going in to the season, but the Rockets still have a chance to be as good as anyone in the league outside of OKC. Amen Thompson, Alperen Sengun, Jabari Smith, and Tari Eason are all a year older and Thompson & Sengun look like they could be perennial All-Star's. Did I mention that Kevin Motherfucking Durant now plays for the Rockets? The regular season tips off on 10/21 @ OKC - which just so also happens to be the return of the NBA on NBC: Let's fucking go!
  22. listening through her new album right now and it's pretty damn good. definitely better than i was expecting it to be.
  23. SEC are still fine for now, though i seriously doubt it's those four exact teams. BIG looks extremely likely. Maybe add Indiana to that group. ACC - remove Clemson obviously. If Miami beats FSU this week, the ACC could very well be a one bid league Big 12 - ASU is still in contention, though not the favorite. Independent - lots of people thinkin ND is in at 10-2. we'll see. still a long way to go to get there. Group of 5 - looks like Memphis now has pole position. Gotta think this is gonna be the American conference champ
  24. it must have happened though, OTF has this:
