  1. knew i should have taken the over.
  2. this one is tough. i picked the wolves, but could definitely see the mavs winning. i went with minnesota mostly due to home court. should be an awesome series.
  3. kansas beats ksu 2-1 in game 1.
  4. while i think Boston will beat Indiana, I don't think that series is going to be a cakewalk at all.
  5. i'm partial to the gray ones too. interesting that the top 3 finishers all ran two weeks ago (Dan and CF in the derby, Gray in an undercard race). I know there have been a few exceptions lately, but it does seem that horses that run in the Derby (or at least on derby day in this case) typically do well in the preakness.
  6. sounds like they're going to do a rematch on october 12th. i was drinking, watching the baseball team and the preakness during a lot of the fight. plus my stream wasn't super reliable. i need to watch it sober and focused before i give an opinion, but right now i'm on the "in a close fight, the guy who nearly ko'ed the other guy gets the decision" camp.
  7. i'm almost in favor simply because it gets rid of tate.
  8. Borba being rewarded for his heroics last night.
  9. i doubt it runs that deep. this is just a standard case of an asshole cop being an asshole cop and having no one within his own department willing to stop him. standard operating procedure.
  10. the stupid motherfucker was a detective and not just some random ass traffic cop?? good lord what a fucking clown show.
  11. i'd think with a series win over ku and a win or two in arlington we'd have done more than enough to be a 2 seed in a favorable regional (ie, not one of the top 8 national seeds).
  12. i'd offer the nets the #3 pick and one of their remaining obligations to the rockets (swaps in '25 and '27, unprotected first in 26) back to them for mikal bridges. my guess is they'd want all of their remaining obligations returned, but i'm not doing that. i'm totally fine with just making the pick here if that's what it comes back to.
  13. it may be a shitty draft, but the advantage of already having a core 6 of 23 and younger guys is that there is no need to hit a home run with the pick. just get someone who can contribute (of which there should be plenty of guys in the draft who can/will) and you've added another young and useful piece to your core. so what if their ceiling isn't an all-star player? if you can get someone who can be the 4th guy on a playoff team, that's a win. if this were year 1 or 2 of the rebuild, it'd suck that this draft doesn't look like it will produce a superstar. but thats not where the rockets are anymore.
  14. the woe is me act from pistons fans is hilarious. you've had the #1 overall pick followed by the #5 overall pick for three straight years. if you can't get better with that its 100% on your front office.
  15. i'm not 100% opposed to a Jalen Green and #3 pick for Donovan Mitchell trade, but an extension for Mitchell has to be part of the deal. You can't trade a 22 year old you took #2 overall and has flashed + a #3 pick for a one year rental.
  16. Clingan wouldn't play alongside Sengun. He'd back him up and take some of his minutes in situations where defense is needed more than offense.
  17. this is fucking ridiculous. clear as fucking day it was an inning-ending double play. lets go.
