I prefer my caffeine cold and bubbly so I do Diet Dr Pepper, but Mrs. Mo is a coffee queen. This is what she swears by. I make it every morning (nope, nothing to do with me being a good husband; pure self preservation) and it works great. Fresh ground beans every day keeps me alive for at least one more day.
We’ve got an older version of this, bought at Costco a long time ago. When it started giving us problems after about 5 years I took it back and they gave us another one. Have a French press but prefer the no mess simplicity of a drip.
The key to me is to get a burr grinder, find beans you like and grind fresh every time. -
How did we fuck it up? What could they have done differently? Nobody watches that channel except for live events. The fact that they have to run the same LHN commercials 100 times a day is proof that nobody watches so they cant get advertisers to pay. It was a flawed concept. there simply isnt enough content. I had it for years and only watched for games. And depending on where you live, theres a decent chance your package doesnt even carry it.
This. Squandered resource. I’ve never understood why we didn’t use the LHN to program and broadcast every single event on campus, athletic and nonathletic, that wasn’t otherwise licensed.
We could also highlight major research projects to attract students and donors. They did that recently with one project on noise research, then played it every 20 minutes like every other thing on the network. Why not a couple of hundred of those?
Coach profiles, professor profiles, student athlete profiles? Promo videos for the programs on campus? More shows like the Augie cooking show - literally the best thing ever programmed on the channel that wasn’t a replay of an Aggy or OU loss.
I’ll stop there because it ain’t gonna happen and I don’t really know why.-

I have questions about the sling, but what's with her dour facial expression? And that jacket her mom knitted her from the crushed velvet seats of the '85 Buick Skylark she was conceived in. And what the hell is Aaron Reitz doing there, on behalf of TPPF I'm assuming?
Reitz was introduced as from the AG’s office. -
Red dress for press conference protesting Candlewood Suites today. What’s up with the sling?
Got the full Wilco court contingent out, State Sen. Schwertner and somebody from the AG’s office. -
Make sure you take all of your pictures leaning up against a tree with your arms folded.
Came here to make sure this was posted-

The state allocating vaccines is going to shut this horseshit down. But glad my folks have already got the 1st shot just in case.
You called it.

There are 44,000+ on the appointment waiting list with the Family Emergency “hub” provider here in Wilco. They were supposed to start vaccinating from their 6,000 does shipment today.
I registered there more than 10 days ago.
Call your county commissioner. Make some noise, probably will help in Wilco. -
APH is only site for Travis County. According to Greg C they will not vaccinate anyone under 65 that has insurance.

14. No binders.
15. Winning is not hard.
16. Momentum is real.
17. No one cares if you are a member of Mensa. -
Tally me on the Urban or bust list, but i’m ok with hiring Sark if it mean means I don’t have to hear:
- winning is hard
- we are working on 1-0
- i’m in Mensa
Or any other Herman bull shit ever again.-

I'm not sure that's really a thing anymore. And for the record, it's called a Poke Choke. It rhymes and evertthing.
When I was an undergrad there in the late 80s we called it the Cow Choke. Went with alliteration over rhyme. -
so WTF the OkState player just opted out in the middle of the game?
Thinks he’ll make the NFL and watched the Canes QB go down-

They played a bowl in Phoenix that was sponsored by cheez-it. Don’t know if it’s the same one.
According to my in depth research of following Twitter feeds that was a different bowl game -
What are you trying to keep in? And what type of wire fabric fence did you get quoted?
8’ tposts are $6ea, 60” tall, 2x4 mesh galvanized field fence is $1.25 a foot, a tpost driver is $40. Field fence goes up quick, probably quicker than 4 strands of barbed wire. $28/ft seems high to me.
Mainly trying to keep coyotes and hikers in the greenbelt out without blocking the view. Agree that’s too high for field fence. Ive got a guy that will do ornamental iron for $28/ft so leaning they way. -
My father always thought so which is why he saved them. With my dad’s poor health l will find out soon enough. I recall seeing numbers on them so they are fairly scarce. But it is Beam . . .
Reminded me of my favorite George Jones song:-

Flannigan campaign volunteer on Twitter posting a post mortem on a poorly-run campaign. Somebody smarter than me can probably link it..

Bumping this again - I need to fence my back yard and have a quote for either 5 ft tall field fence (t-posts and 4x4 wire fabric) or 6 ft black metal. I thought the field fence would be the cheap option. Quote is $28/ft for the field, $36/ft for the metal. What am I missing? The welded metal fence feels in the ballpark, the other seems about 3 times too high?

Bought a Beam on Black Friday for $100 off.
The One ($159) and One SL ($139) are both $40 off right now.
The One and One SL are the same, except the SL doesn't have Alexa.
Trying to talk myself out of buying a pair of One SL's to pair with the Beam.
I’ve had a beam and sub for a while, took a couple of ones that weren’t getting enough use and paired them in a couple of months ago. Definitely add depth to the sound. That said, if you don’t have a sub I’d spring for that over the back channels. -
If your Dish login gives you access to network apps you should be able to get the national feeds there.

the house opposite ours had downward sloping driveway, so if mine had fully rolled across the street, it wouldve smashed into their garage/vehicles. thank god it just stopped in the street
This happened to my mom when I was a kid. Parked in our driveway, didn’t set the brake. Car went down our driveway, across the street and down the drive across the street to smash into their garage door. Fortunately no car In their garage when it happened. -
more people are going to need to get their own antenna again for local stations. that, or stop watching dancing with the stars.
You’re right, and that’s what we do. But it’s really only for local news. Still have access to the ABC app and all shows through ATT, so I think ultimately Tegna has to blink. Interesting the right now, the Austin ABC affiliate is battling ATT, NBC affiliate battling Direct TV and CBS affiliate fighting Hulu.. local stations need ad revenue which relies on eyeballs. If I’m watching shows mainly via the network app those guys are screwed. -
ATT TV Now has lost all the local stations owned by Tegna, which includes KVUE in Austin.

If you want to support local go to Trianon in Westlake and let them hook you up with beans that match your taste. Or just buy Ruta Maya.
