  1. You don’t need prime for this. The cook will be what matters.
  2. Was able to grab a TL Blanton’s pick. Notwithstanding it’s a 375, it’s the first Blanton’s I’ve ever found in the wild.
  3. Old Ezra 7 - WOW that’s sweet. All I can smell or taste is cotton candy.
  4. A lot of these grail bottles don’t really live up the hype. For me, this one does.
  5. Happy World Whiskey Day!
  6. Never trust a TW rec of something you’ve never heard of before.
  7. You will not like the price. I nearly passed, and am on record saying GB is overpriced. Succumbed to the hype, but not disappointed.
  8. That rye is the best bang for the buck on the list. TW has it by the L for $25.
  9. Anybody looking for this, TW Lakeline has it up front.
  10. Quite the contrary, see city of Austin and Travis County using the crisis as a reason to suspend the caps passed in the last legislature to increase property tax rates.
  11. I’d like a Move for the back porch but feels overpriced to me. Keep thinking they will run a sale - probably wishful thinking on my part. For now will just continue moving one of my other speakers out when we are on the porch.
  12. Haven’t cracked the Hancock yet, never had it before. With that recommendation I’ll open tonight.
  13. Thinking strictly from the value and availability standpoint. Best tasting answer for me is always Col. Taylor, all varieties.
  14. In the past few days I’ve picked up Blood Oath, Hancock’s Presidents Reserve, Bookers’s Granny’s Batch and Heaven’s Hill BiB. Yet I think the best buy was probably the 2 - 1L’s of OF rye for $24 each.
  15. Seemed like a neat idea until 15 minutes in, John Legend version of Nothing Compares to You. Overproduced and unmitigated shitshow. Tuning out now.
  16. Going rate around Austin is about $69.
  17. (He’s right you know gif) Have both and agree. Although that’s pretty good Maker’s...
  18. So go to theinterstellarbbq.com to order brisket that’s 98% as good for $23/lb. Still pretty pricey but not quite so steep.
  19. Just looked at the website. $27.50/lb for brisket? FML.
  20. Been a long day. Happy hour.
  21. Read a LPT on batching cocktails. I now prepare a batch of manhattans - premix 12 oz of whiskey with 6 oz of vermouth and 3 oz of water. Chill overnight then add to a glass with your bitters and whatever else you want to add.
  22. $32.46 drive out with tax. I’m not much for paying over MSRP.
  23. First time venturing out in about a week. Bought 3 bottles for under $100 total at the local twin: Larceny Small Batch, Elijah Craig Small Batch, and Eagle Rare. The first two fit your definition. And the Eagle Rare wasn’t much more.
