  1. If you don’t think Bardstown’s blends with TN whiskey aren’t good, than there is no hope for you.
God damn they are knocking it out of the park.
    Disco 6 is fucking incredible.
7 looks interesting. Can’t wait to try it.

Thanks - just picked up a 6 on this rec, look forward to cracking it.
  2. I keep forgetting about the new AD and President, both of which he really seems to enjoy working with.  If we resign Knowles and all these super seniors who got an extra year to play come back like they are saying , Gundy leaving would be an incredible out of left field Fuck You to OSU.  He isn't going anywhere.  But if he ever is, this is probably the fucking week/month it would happen.  Fucking insane that we had two coaches decide to leave Notre Dame and OU for another college HC job.

Holder's departure ensures Gundy remains at OSU for the rest of his career.

  3. I'm sure he asked for like 20 billion dollars so that it wouldn't look like he was just bailing (was he smartly is), but more like it's on ou.
Media etc, desperately want SC or a west coast school in the playoffs to keep the interest up, and they'll try to give him the benefit of the doubt with rankings etc. Plus he has the mammoth media market of L.A. Riley just traded in a ball-busting path for screwdrivers on the beach.
Granted, I know how hard it must be to leave Norman... HAHAHAHA!!!!!

Also PAC refs agreed to not call offensive holding on SC as a condition of the hire.

Most people forgot that Casey was a pretty decent QB before his hand got fucked to the point to where he couldn't even handle snaps anymore.

He certainly accounted for K-State’s first touchdown today with that horribly underthrown INT
  5. I’ve heard that Iba story before… I feel like it’s message board lore more than anything.
OU became a power in the 1950s, and college football was a pretty big deal for most of Iba’s tenure as an athletic director… he was in that role until 1970. College football was a bigger deal than the NFL through at least the early 1970s and was probably the second most popular sport in the country after MLB all of that time.
Iba had plenty of time to try and build a competitive program during a time when it was clear that CFB was wildly popular.

The story I always heard was that, post WW2, the BMDs in Oklahoma wanted a winning football team for state pride. They went to Iba first, because at the time Oklahoma A&M had the stronger athletic department, had a nationally known basketball team and a strong football program and offered to finance one. Iba refused their money and said he wouldn't buy players. So they went to Norman instead and were welcomed with open arms.

After Iba retired OSU rethought this position but were really bad at cheating, and got caught multiple times through the '70s and '80s, culminating in the "near death" penalty in 1992 after Hart Lee Dykes ratted out the program.
  6. What "quite a few times" are you referring to?
There has only been one game when OSU was clearly the better team and lost (2013).  All of Gundy's other losses have either been when it was essentially a toss-up or OU was clearly the better team. And one of his wins (2014) was when we were a considerable underdog.
You could maybe argue that 2010 was also a game we should have won, but Justin Blackmon was injured the week before the game, because of course he was.
In fact we seemingly have had several years when we had injuries to key players or other issues where we were otherwise short-handed going into the game.  That's the rub of always playing that game (for the most part) at the end of the year.

I'm a lifelong Poke and graduated there before coming to Texas. I hate ou with the fury of a thousand suns. State's best chance is if Gundy gets Covid protocoled and can't coach. He shits the bed against the sooners every. damn. time.

    Hope I'm wrong.

  7. LG C1. 65" 4K and all that. Bigger than the 1080p set I bought when we moved in 10 years ago with amazing upgrade in resolution etc. Seemed like a good balance of features, size and $$. Tempted by 77" but felt too big for the room plus $1k+ premium over 65".
