  1. I was flipping during a commercial and saw this happen live. The look on Jeffrey Toobin's face was pretty funny. It amazes me anyone can take Rick Santorum seriously. He's a fucking clown of the highest order.
  2. I think Keita starts this weekend versus Everton and bosses the shit out of them. I've had that feeling since the Bayern game. Hope I'm right.
  3. Thought he got lost in the attack a little but he was really good when Watford had the ball. Worked hard and tracked back really well. I thought he put a real shift in. Kind of crazy that after it took Fabs so long to get a match that he's been maybe our most important player these last two months. He's going to be so awesome next year.
  4. I can't watch. I know updates will be provided and I, for one, appreciate it. Thanks.
  5. I actually get why Milner started. Manu's best attack since JM left has been down that left side/our right. I think he was hoping Milner would maintain some defensive discipline. The game quickly changed when everyone on their team got injured though. It's hard to make a RB sub in a game like that too. TAA would've been the better option but that's hindsight. We need Keita or Ox in MF though, to provide some creativity. We sorely lack any threat when Fabs, Hendo, and Gini all play together. Any word on Gomez? I haven't heard anything about him lately. pied?
  6. The midfield seemed way too redundant. Don't think Klopp got it right yesterday. He knows the 3 points were there for the taking. He looked pissed at the end. This kind of reminds me of the Arsenal draw from November. I'm hoping we can start a run to finish the season like we did not long after that Arsenal match. We need some goals though.
  7. Hey, I'm really worried about filling my head with falsehoods. I got it! I'll support a president who lies 100 times a month and watch Fox News! That'll solve it.
  8. It's a big story on one of the big clubs in the league most of us follow. Plus, most of us don't want to say anything negative about a club in other teams' threads. That's for their supporters.
  9. Save money? Chelsea owes their owner £1 billion.
  10. I think it was Willie D that uttered that line. "Thought she had cane but it was Gold Medal Flour..."
  11. "Sprinkle a little crack on him and let's get out of here, Johnson."
  12. Finally recovered from a 3-day hangover. I didn't take the advice of anyone above who suggested no drinking or drugs. Drank more vodka than a KGB agent. It was a good festival. Awesome people watching. Highlight was probably Shaggy or Sean Paul. The crowd loved them. I like Counting Crows and they were pretty good, but the subject matter can be a bit depressing for a festival. The crowd was nuts for Bryan Adams, so I assumed there were a lot of Canucks in the crowd. They sang every word to every song. Twenty year olds going nuts for Cuts Like a Knife and Heaven. A little odd. Totally blacked out for Duran Duran. Don't remember a minute of it. Blues Traveler and Live got the crowd going too. The comedy was fun. Saw Norm MacDonald. A buddy went to Wanda Sykes and said she was good. Only negative is once you went to the comic stage, you were captive until the comic finished their set. They didn't want folks coming in and out of the comedy shows. I liked the artwork that I saw. Saw a cool Jimi mural made out of trash picked up off the beach. Pretty neat. Didn't try any food there. Probably only had 3 meals the entire 4 day trip. The beer line was the worst. All the servers were locals and took forever to server drinks. They had no desire to hustle. Excellent festival. Only 10k in attendance so you could move around pretty easily. I'd give the festival a B+. The trip was an A though.
  13. I’m not a great writer (not even a good writer), but I’ve wanted to make a Bobby Firmino appreciation post for some time. So, here goes: He’s surpassed all expectations I had for him since his arrival. He’s become my second favorite Red since I became a fan behind Gerrard and surpassing Suarez. He’s so much fun to watch float around and do things. He appears to play outside the system but everything he does is important to how the rest of the team functions. I find myself focused on what he’s doing in most of the matches we play. He’s awesome in small spaces and gets out of so many jams by being innovative and more creative than anyone else. Yesterday, Lewandowski was using his body to block Firmino from the ball. Bobby, with his back to Lewandowski, somehow wrapped his leg around Lewandowski’s body and managed to flick the ball to a teammate without fouling and without being able to fully see the ball or his target. He gives 100% effort on every attempted header, which are often against bigger and taller defenders. Wins a lot of them too. He wants every 50/50 ball and attempts to make every tackle. He’s fearless in the box defending corners and tracks back more than any other number 9 in the league. His passing in and around the box is better than anyone on our team. He’s put it on a plate for Mane and Salah so many times they should give him part of their paycheck. He’s made them better and vice versa. I can’t even speak logically about his goal celebrations. He’s the best in the league at celebrating a goal. Tl;dr - he’s a badass.
  14. Thought we outplayed them. Bayern barely had a sniff in that 2nd half and got lucky getting away with a draw. Our confidence should be high going into the weekend.
  15. It was joke. B is the point that I was making.
  16. You must've missed Pogba against Fulham.
  17. Their attack has been nonexistent too. Just the one shot on goal.
  18. He started working for the campaign in March as convention manager. He was promoted in May to campaign manager and chief strategist. He was fired in August. Stop lying about the 2 months.
  19. I will never get over that they had two years to fund whatever the fuck they wanted pretty much, and now after the midterms the wall is some national emergency and the center of these discussions. He's talked about declaring a national emergency. There's talk of appropriating funds from other departments. Has any reporter asked why it's come to this? I still haven't seen an answer to that simple question. Were the R's weak on border security those two years? It gets said a lot but it makes me feel like I'm taking crazy pills.
  20. Man, good for him. He seems like a good guy. Hope he makes it back to what he was or better.
  21. Yeah, just like an in-season warm weather break. Even the small clubs do it. Cardiff City just canceled their trip to Tenerife so players can spend time with their families.
  22. Probably need to check your math. Our max possible points is 101. City's is 98. We can still drop points. Never mind the fact City has lost 4 times already this season. I'm not sure why everyone is so certain they'll win out. They lost to Newcastle like a week ago.
  23. You're a lawyer. You don't carry around your bar card and show it to people, right? I don't see how she would've profited from that either.
  24. That's cool. I grew up on a farm outside of Wolf Point, Montana and went to a country school. There were only a handful of Native Americans in my school but it was just k-8. If I had stayed there for high school, I would've had to go in town and it's about 50/50 natives and whites.
