  1. I grew up on the crime side, the New York Times side. staying alive was no jive Had second hands, Moms bounced on Old Man, soon we moved to Shaolin Land
  2. Didn't see a thread on this but we watched the first two episodes over the weekend. It's about the prison break in upstate NY a few years ago where some prison employees helped a couple of murderers escape. It's excellent. Patricia Arquette, Benicio Del Toro, and Paul Dano play the main characters. The other supporting actors are all great too. Ben Stiller is directing. They really sunk some money into it. The sets are amazing. The music is fantastic too. Very well done and an interesting subject.
  3. Fuck. Just take me now, Xenu. End this.
  4. That's just gross. Give him a fucking bon voyage plaque and donate the money to some worthy cause. The guy made a salary and it wasn't peanuts. A 5m pound 'gift' is ridiculous. From what I've read, it sounds like LFC, Everton and Burnley are holding out.
  5. All the top clubs have that issue.
  6. Klopp's only blemishes are a draw at home to City and away draws to Chelsea and Arsenal. They've also allowed the joint fewest goals in the league. That's more than worthy of a B+. Poch lost back to back games in September, one of which was at home to a top 4 rival. A C is maybe slightly harsh but it's probably justified compared to the others on the list.
  7. Sarri and Emery both deserve A's IMO. They've improved their teams in a very short period of time and made the top end of the league much better.
  8. Has Fox reported it? If not, he probably doesn't know. WH aides surely aren't going to tell him.
  9. Rumsfeld had held the position for nearly 5 years. Not 18 months. ETA: Or 20 or 21 months. However long it's been.
  10. True about Kratz not having to know for it to be done but Zellner showed where he mislabeled evidence during discovery multiple times, which precluded Strang and Buting from seeing Bobby Dassey was searching for things like 'knife entering body' and 'horsecum.' Intentionally or not, I think this puts Kratz in the conspiracy.
  11. I don't know much about the violin but your background in music should make it a lot easier for you. I played the sax one year in 5th grade and the recorder in 7th grade music class and that was the extent of my music knowledge. Learning music theory hasn't been very easy for me. Rhythm was difficult too. Getting my brain to tap my foot and strum the guitar at the same time was way harder than it should've been.
  12. I took up guitar at 40, so a few years ago. The first year was hard because I was trying to learn from youtube and a few other methods. I started taking lessons and I improved at a quicker rate. The difficulty for me is practice time. I try to practice 5 to 7 hours a week but it doesn't always work out that way. When you're a kid, you have more disposable time.
  13. I believe the individual is filing bankruptcy. We only just heard the money is gone and we're in the beginning stages. For two years he's told my friend that the money is still there. Meanwhile he's run up credit card debt, taken out high interest loans and robbing Peter to pay Paul. It's a lot more convoluted than I'm letting on but it'll fall into tl;dr territory really quick. Thanks for your help though.
  14. If there is a general tax question thread already, I apologize. I didn't see one. I have an issue I was hoping I could get some advice on. Let's say my friend loaned a relative a large sum of money in 2016 as seed money for a business venture. Just to keep it simple we'll say it's $100k. He wrote him checks and they have promissory notes. My friend found out only recently that his relative is a degenerate, a fraud and a thief. The $100k is gone and it looks like this idiot is going to file bankruptcy because he owes money all over town. The question is how does my friend account for the loan on his income taxes? Can he take it as an expense? Does he have to carry it forward as a loss? Any advice is appreciated.
  15. There's just too many things they can't explain away. If anything, there is reasonable doubt. It obviously didn't happen the way Dassey's confession outlined. That dude, IMO, should definitely go free. I'm kind of the opinion that if Avery didn't do this, he's done something else. That doesn't mean he should be in jail for this, but I don't think he's a truthful person. That may have to do with him being wrongfully convicted previously, idk, but there's something about him that's off.
  16. Klopp said he had played 4 matches in a row, which is why he sat XS. I didn’t think we were very good for the first 65 minutes or so. Cardiff didn’t really test us and we looked happy to just keep the ball and the lead. Salah was fantastic today though. Four goals in three games now. Two assists today as well. Shutting up the doubters. Thought Gini and Fab played well too.
  17. A win at Red Star likely would see us through.
  18. No shots on target against Alisson again. Easiest gig he's ever had.
  19. Just ran it down. Left the opponent with cramps.
  20. Fuck me. That pass to Firmino just now was amazing.
