  1. I don't know about the OD stuff, but I do know that tons of money has flowed into counties all across the country from Biden's programs for the CARES act (which morphed into the American Rescue Plan Act, the Inflation Reduction Act, and all the money that gone into the infrastructure act (which is extremely hard to trace in Texas). Here's a link to click on to check out how your county fared. This link is only for Texas counties, and yes it says Lubbock, because Lubbock county is highlighted in this link. https://www.lubbockcounty.gov/egov/documents/1640033710_62425.pdf
  2. Texas Reps are already lining up to implement our own electoral college on all statewide offices, in an effort to offset the popular vote potential in the large Metro areas.
  3. Username and all.
  4. How many coaches beyond Sark could have developed Quinn to this point? Of if not coaches, then what staffs? Maybe Kiffen? Gundy? Riley? Apparently being a premier QB whisperer alone doesn't make one a great head coach. Saban wasn't one, but he was a coach bright enough to hire good ones. I'd like to think we are in the unique situation of having both the whisperer and HC covered by the same person. But the point really is, I don't think QE ever gets developed to this quality anywhere else. Which would have been a shame. Bright people like the Mannings recognize this and buy in too.
  5. Reminded me of this instance: And then he stiffed them for the bill after telling the crowd he would take care of them. Guess that's part of the greatness he wants to bring back
  6. Gigem247: the only place where VIP is automatically the acronym for Very Ignorant Person.
  7. UT - 44 CSU - 13 WR - 225
  8. My cousin went up and has been working as a volunteer on the floor and behind the curtains. She said The Chicks are performing the anthem. And also a rumor Taylor is in the house too. So maybe that's Beyonce and not TS? She got to watch Stevie Wonder practice yesterday. Posts in TT.
  9. The outtakes during the closing credits were funnier than the movie. Only reason I know is my Gen Z kid enjoyed it and wanted to watch it all. Otherwise, I would have bailed about halfway through.
  10. That's easy enough. As soon as they know their mailing address, have them fill out one of these applications and send it to your County Election Administrator/Clerk. Link for Texas VBM application. The sooner you get it in, the better. Suggestion to follow it up with a call to EA to insure it arrived and was properly logged. AND it's something you have to do every year, not just once. Goes for anyone expected to be out of their voting county during early voting and ED.
  11. Walz reminds me of a mash up of these two icons:
  12. That dork and his red tie/black suit. Can see him dressing like that on Saturday night on the prowl for some Kougar Karen.
  13. Probably the biggest reason you aren't seeing more Harris signs is everyone is holding off until the VP announcement to get both candidates on the signs. I would expect to see more hitting the streets in about 2 weeks. I think Trump fully believes that no matter how the election goes, he's got the system in place to overthrow it. He's saving his campaign dollars for lawyers and insurrection organizers instead of actually trying to win the election.
  14. I seem to remember it being called in a few high school games I attended.
  15. I would guess they are at least getting partially funded (if not fully) to just keep shit stirred up. Folks like Tim Dunn wouldn't break a sweat putting 20-30 agitators on a payroll somewhere. IRS should audit a few to find out.
  16. Seems like for a few years they published the same magazine but with different covers, dependent on where they were being distributed. But eventually they succumbed to splitting the cover like this. Probably had to do it when sales started dropping.
  17. Same sort that Hitler targeted after WWI to be the base of his Brownshirts. Angry young men who haven't accomplished much with their lives and need someone to blame. They just keep blaming the wrong people because they are too willfully ignorant to actually look at facts. The continued wealth inequality in our country is the chief cause of this unhappiness, along with the marketing teams that push consumerism over all else. It's no win for them when they base their whole worth on the accumulation of material goods and wealth. So, they are setting themselves up to steal from others, right under our fucking noses. They'd gladly loot anyone's home who disagrees with them and then claim the victims were Jews or filthy immigrants. They are just waiting for Trump to give them the green light. But yeah, it's the immigrants coming to take their jobs, their way of life. How do you fight this without some reckoning? Some bloodshed?
  18. Anybody attempted Bodies yet? I'm 3/4 in and though it was a slow start it falls into place. It's like Dark in trying to keep up with the characters.
  19. That is great to hear. Must have had some local money come in, since the gofundme was basically stalled. I hope we get to see some footage of them there
  20. Yeah, I was thinking this too. He was white and they probably thought he was there as some sort of militia to protect Trump if things went sideways. If he would have been anything but white, he'd been dropped long before he got up on that roof.
  21. I would think SS would have some sort of portable radar for drone spotting. Maybe they would remove the target until they ascertained if the threat was truly a threat. That makes the most sense, policy wise.
  22. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/14-reasons-people-are-leaving-texas/ss-BB1oJcRj?ocid=msedgntp&pc=U531&cvid=211bec2ba61a434cb9beea70330045e9&ei=53#image=1 Texans are leaving the state due to: 1. Scorching Summers and Extreme Heat 2. Property Taxes 3. Political Climate 4. Lack of Gun Control 5. Abortion Restrictions 6. Lack of Diversity 7. Education System 8. Natural Disasters 9. Property Insurance Woes 10. Traffic Congestion 11. Job Market Saturation 12. Water Scarcity and Drought Concerns 13. Environmental Concerns and Pollution 14. Social Issues and Inequality (I'd probably shoe in Healthcare somewhere too) Race to be a third world country is in full gallop now. Boomers are leaving America to retire abroad in droves because the U.S. is just too expensive https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/retirement/boomers-are-leaving-america-to-retire-abroad-in-droves-because-the-u-s-is-just-too-expensive/ar-BB1py92d?ocid=msedgntp&pc=U531&cvid=27f387a2d670442f806721884474856b&ei=27 My son said that sounded right. Boomers kept voting for the assholes who fucked up this country, then just leave it because it's too fucked up. Fortunately for them they have enough wealth to make such a move.
  23. If P 2025 isn't loony enough for you, take a look at Agenda 47, it's Trump counterpart: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agenda_47 The more I watch these guys the more they remind me of the Germanic youth who made up the brownshirts. John Oliver did a good piece on this, but then it's longer than 2 minutes, so 'too long, won't watch' On the other hand my young collegiate says his IG and TikTok is blowing up over 2025 and kids are pissed.
