How fitting would it be if a bunch of emails ruin Trump after he spent his whole 2016 campaign complaining about Hillary's emails?? Every accusation is a confession really rings true...

The 15 vs 8 year old thing may come into play if the trial is in Florida, since they just passed a law allowing the death penalty for pdf files who abuse children under 12. How awesome would it be if he's sentenced to death under a law passed by 'Meatball Ron'?

I got to 10 minutes on the bus this morning, then switched it to something else. What a fucking idiot trying to defend Nico. I'm no Mavs fan, but fuck carrying water for that moron. We have all heard all the analysis of the trade and how the Mavs might have been sold on it, but we don't need to delve into how Nico might have thought he was doing the right thing. Nobody cares if he thought they could win with AD and Kyrie, they can't and won't do it, they will fail. The only question I have about it is if Nico was bribed by the Lakers to make the trade. If he ends up working for the Lakers any time in the future, there should be an investigation.

2025-26 Houston Rockets Thread - Back to Contention?

Reed was awful on defense in the Spurs game. He was ball watching several times and his man, Castle a few times, cut to the hoop for an easy pass and layup. He was getting lost in defensive rotations sometimes and the unguarded Spur would cut to the hoop or have an open 3. It was awful, but kind of understandable for a 21 year old second year player. He wasn't supposed to get this many minutes this year and he barely played last year, so he has a steep learning curve. Give him time though, and I think he will be a solid rotation player. -

When you get down to basics, aren't we all simply just vehicles for cheese? -

The Worst Trade in NBA History: Luka traded for AD
Dutchrudder replied to Derka's topic in Basketball
Whenever I think of this trade, I picture Miriam Adelson as Lucille Bluth talking to Michael and saying something like: Michael: We need to extend Luka before the season starts, he's our best player. Miriam: He's a white basketball player, how much could he cost? 10 dollars? Michael: You haven't actually watched a basketball game before, have you? He is an MVP candidate and his max extension is $350 million dollars. Miriam: I don't care I'm not spending that, trade him for one of those tall athletic (cartoonish wink) guys instead. Now, I have to get ready for a fundraiser. -

Yeah, him at 100% would be awesome, but you're right, he won't be back until Spring of 2026. He also has 2+1 years left on his deal, and he's not going to decline that player option of 30m. Too expensive for the risk, unless NOLA throws in some picks, which they might actually be willing to do. Another guy that costs about the same and may be gettable is Jrue Holiday. The problem is he also has a 2+1 deal with a PO and it's 32/34/37m over those 3 years. Likely too expensive for Houston, but wow would be be a great fit here. Other guys that are cheaper and more realistic are Schroeder, Sexton, Pritchard, Jamal Shead and Quickley. Sexton is an interesting option with an 18m expiring deal, and being on the Hornets. They don't value anyone it seems, so he may be cheap to acquire. -

If Dejonte Murray would ever get healthy, I bet the Pelicans would give us a 1st round pick to take him. -
Davis for Lebron straight up

It would be really funny if the batter was also tipping off some gamblers that his first AB would have a swing and miss on the first pitch, and it turns out all these degenerates are betting against each other and ruining each other's schemes.

I think this is just Disney trying to recoup some subscriptions after losing a couple million subs in protest over the Jimmy Kimmel thing. Also it makes people aware of the whole ESPN/Hulu streaming service. There's probably a good chunk of their subs that don't know there is more than D+.

Derrick White is great at defense though. In the playoffs our lack of D at the 1 will really show if they don't find someone else. He can hit threes, share the ball and run an offense when needed. I think he would be the perfect fit if Boston is willing to listen. Plus the Celtics are taking the year off, so sitting on FVV this year won't hurt them. Toss in a Suns pick and a couple others and they might go for it. -
I work in Data Center management for a huge company with presence in many DC colos around the world. Finding space in these smaller third party vendors isn't difficult, they all have tons of unused space because so many companies have migrated to cloud in the last 10 years. I know several vendors with plenty of open spaces in Houston, Dallas and Austin. Not sure what pricing would be for a single cabinet, but we were generally getting 1k per month per cabinet for the space we wanted to build. It's much larger at 30-40 cabinets, so there is a decent discount built-in to that pricing. What's special about this Dallas space? Why not Austin where you live and are able to service the equipment? Are you factoring the power costs, circuits, and maintenance on top of the lease cost? If you plan on using the DC "smart hands" techs to fix things, you need to budget a lot for that too. Are you planning to have a mirror DR site? If you want to handle data, you need to have an off site backup plan. What kind of hardware are you planning on buying to provide the service? My company sends lots of older equipment to e-waste that is often re-sold, and can be bought for cheap by little guys like you looking to squeeze more life out of them. You could look into purchasing hardware from a source like that and save a lot on the startup costs.

100 Republicans are now willing to release the files? Oh, well then I'm sure they have finally been scrubbed of anything that will harm Trump and we will never get to know the details of him and his buddies' crimes. But hey, at least Clinton and Gates will get criminal charges, that should be some great smoke and mirrors to cover all the other heinous shit we will see over the next 3 years. Again, fuck you Merrick Garland, you worthless fucking skunk.

I think it was a Raptors homer trying to make their fans feel better about his contract.

Castle is not a Point Guard that can be a primary ball handler and run the offense. Maybe he will become that one day, but he is not that now and wouldn’t be on this team. Reed isn’t either for that matter, but he did shoot 52% from 3 during college and had an insane 67%eFG for a guy taking a lot of distant shots. The team needs him to grow up more and get more confident in his shooting. He needs to be a reliable 3pt machine to earn his minutes, but he’s only 21 and has plenty of time to do that. Holiday needs some run as PG for a few games to see if he can do it. He’s not a bad player, but he’s the best option to step into that role with FVV hurt. I still think they trade for a PG in a couple months, but the market still needs to shake out who will be available. Derrick White has been shitty this year, but would be an excellent fit on this team. Not sure if the Celtics would part ways with him, but the possibility of those Suns picks could entice them. Plenty of opportunities ahead, and I trust this front office to do it right. -
Local SB chooses to adopt and offer the Bible class. It's offered by the state now as an optional class. I doubt it stays in here, but we will see. SBs can help fight back against the 10 Commandments bullshit. The last board had several 7 Mountains believers who push this stuff. The last Board also chose to remove 13 chapters of our kids textbooks that covered vaccines, climate change and contributions of people of color throughout history. This also forced the ISD curriculum advisors to re-write the chapters to remove the controversial parts, which creates more work for no reason. I expect that to be reversed immediately. The last board proposed, but failed, to pass a measure to add chaplains to the schools, which is another way to push religion through schools. Also would be a waste of money to hire them when we have huge budget deficits. One thing that was added a few years ago was a LOHE for the district that has reduced the overall per student tax revenue to the lowest in the state, around $9500. This can't be changed until 2028, but it will have to be removed since the ISD can't operate without that money. They are getting less than the 10k voucher that private schools get from the state, how insane is that? Previous Board leader is a trustee for a private school and was a huge proponent of vouchers and Christian Nationalism. I will be happy to see her greedy fat ass gone in January.

A deep, yawning chasm.

CyFairISD had all 3 of the seats won by the woke, commie, liberal candidates, this flipping the Board to a 4-3 majority. They will have to make tough decisions and undo some things the last group did like displaying the 10 Commandments, supporting a Bible class in Public schools as a "history" course, banning evil books, defunding librarians on campus, reducing/eliminating bus routes and not supporting teachers to have more control in classrooms. Can't wait for the leftist Utopia that maintains secular education, builds up the libraries, and supports teachers. The right wing nutjobs on our neighborhood pages are all up in their feels right now, it's glorious.
