  1. Really taking "Get Off My Lawn" to a new level...
  2. He would fit right in with the 2023 Astros
  3. Hader had like 5 losses by now last season, dude kept getting sent out for 2 innings at a time in tied/extra inning games, and would inevitably give up a home run. He looks significantly better this season, as does the rest of the pen. If we can get some more pitchers back off the IL, this team will have more good arms than Vishnu.
  4. Ump is checking Abreu's hands after that outing...
  5. My god, the ump does not like that bottom right corner.
  6. Come defend some of these calls, and then show me anything even close to this that Hali gets for the Pacers. This is the Finals, when we are supposed to be getting the best teams and great games, but they are constantly marred by this dumb flopping shit, and really, just some insane calls that aren't even SGA's fault. Like some of these are such weak contact I think even he was surprised to get the call.
  7. Yeah, I expect them to bring that number way down. It's a matter of how much, since I doubt anyone else is going to offer him 30m+ a year. I heard 3 years ~90m thrown around, which I think is fair for him, but if he can help structure it a little lower to start, it really opens up the trade options by dropping under the 1st apron. Also, the team can't go into the 2nd apron in this kind of trade, and I doubt management would want to do that anyways. If he helps make this happen for the least impactful amount of assets going out, it will be a huge help to the team and really show how committed Fred is to winning with the Rockets. I really hope we see that happen!
  8. 2016 finals game 7: 93-89 2013 finals game 7: 95-88 2010 finals game 7: 83-79 2005 finals game 7: 81-74 1994 finals game 7: 90-84 It's been 37 years (Lakers/Pistons in '88) since a team cracked 100 in a finals game 7, kinda crazy. Defensive-focused game incoming...
  9. Holiday has a 4.9m option that would need to be picked up to be traded, and that would further increase the gap of being above the 1st apron. If they can give Fred a deal starting at 28m and escalates for 2 years, that could work, but they would need his buy-in on a deal like that. Fred's the real wild card in all this, because these multiplayer trades only work if the team can change their apron status. If he really takes a discount year 1 to help the team trade only Green/Landale/Holiday/#10 for KD that would be pretty cool of him.
  10. Pick 10 in the draft would be selected by Houston and count as $6,016,080 in the trade. Jalen Green's salary for next year doesn't kick in until the new year starts and is worth 33 million Reed Shepherd's contract next year is worth $10,098,960, and would likely make this trade work after the new league year hits. It's simply impossible to do Green+10 straight up for KD because the Rockets are a 1st apron team, and the Suns are a 2nd apron team. Need to make it more salary balanced. Jock Landale and his 8 million non-gtd would also be of use in this trade and help Phoenix drop some salary to get below 2nd apron. Edit: one more note, the rework of Fred's contract would have to be executed to drop below 1st apron. If they can bring his cost down from 44m to under 34m that would relieve the 10m+ needed to get under the 1st apron. That does change the trade dynamic to where the Rockets can offer less salary and take back more, while also helping the Suns drop salary in the process.
  11. Nico must have already told him the Mavs will pick him #1. Congrats to the Spurs on landing Flagg!
  12. That just means the Knicks will have to pay even more picks to hire him!
  13. 10+ runs in back to back games. When was the last time that happened?
  14. We should play all our home games in this park
  15. It's hard to believe they only have 2 runs so far, feels like they should have 7 by now.
  16. I would watch more sports if there was a "game sounds only" version of the broadcast. Let me hear the sound of the dribble, the squeaks of the shoes, the clanking of the ball on the rim, people screaming positions and plays at each other. You know, the stuff that immerses you in the game. Market it as "NBA Court side View" and include it in League Pass. It would sell like crazy.
  17. Cam the Man, and Dubie!
  18. Jake Meyers getting us on the board!
  19. Walking the bases loaded in the top of the 1st is fairly uncommon. 1 more walk and we are on the board!
  20. Plenty of national guys know Jalen is an empty calories player. I think the main problem with Jalen is that he doesn't have any skill that is elite. He's not a good shooter, he's only an 80% FT shooter, he's good at driving, but not consistent. He's weak on defense with a team that was top 5 in defense. He ranked around 70th on catch and shoot 3s, which is awful for a scoring guard. I just can't honestly sell him on anything, because he's so unpolished on every facet of his game. He can dunk and fire up the team about once every 6 games, that's about what his value is, for 33m a year. Oof. I thought the extension for Green and Alpi was dumb, because I would have LOVED to see them both try to get offers as RFAs and see what they can find on the market. Nobody is clearing cap space to sign Jalen to 33/36/36 million a year, and even Alpi probably wouldn't get that due to lack of cap space around the league. The team could have kept Jalen's cost way down if they had played it right, and if he only cost 20m a year, we wouldn't be having this conversation.
  21. Why do they do the + signs? It was exactly 15 and 12, there is no + since they did not exceed those numbers.
