  1. lol, that throw by Dubon is gonna be on a low light reel.
  2. Being a bullpen guy is a lot different than a starter. I think he could give 100% for 1-2 innings rather than 80% trying to stretch for 5-6. Age and/or injuries have caught up with him, but he can still hit ~96 on his fastball. It's a completely different type of preparation for a game when you only need 3 outs, and I think he's smart enough and has the tools to adjust for it. If roster spots are in short supply, then maybe he gets the axe, but I would rather see him used in short stints over the other guys at the back of the pen.
  3. Do you really think he's a worse option for 1-2 innings vs Ort, King, Scott or Turd Ferguson? I think I would rather have him in the playoffs over any of those guys. He would have to accept the role though.
  4. Windy has that LeBron/Rich Paul hookup though, he could rival Shams if he can get the early info on guys in that network. They need to come up with a clever nickname for his "bomb" tweets though, maybe we can brainstorm some on the board and submit them? Brian Blast Air Burst Windy Whammy Blowy Bomb
  5. What if you move JV to the pen and let him replace Pressley as the 7 or 8th inning leverage reliever? Asking JV to get 3 outs is much more realistic than 15-18.
  6. He got out of it, and the Angels went to their pen in the 3rd, so it's looking good for us tonight. 1st and 3rd with nobody out to start the 4th.
  7. This is getting dangerous...
  8. Yep, that's what makes the comparison to Altuves base running so apt. We need him to keep doing his thing, and cut down on the penalties.
  9. Is there some policy or change in tactics that can be pointed to as the reason for the decline? Did some congressional act make naloxone more available to help prevent deaths? The article doesn't really explain why the death rates are dropping.
  10. Cleveland is also 1.5 back from #1 overall. If they chase down the Yankees then the bracket becomes quite different.
  11. Good. Get these shit birds on record so their opponents can use it against them. C'mon Allred, use this to make another milquetoast ad asking people to chip in $3 while you tell them about how you used to play football!
  12. Never seen this guy before about 2 weeks ago, when he started showing up on some talk shows as a guest. Now we should be hearing his name a LOT as all the Republicans and good Christians come out of the woodwork to denounce him and his obvious racism! ... Any minute now... ... Megyn, do you want to go first? No? Oh ok...
  13. I missed the game as I was traveling for work today, but explain something to me. How does Hader get credited with a save when it was 6-1 and bases loaded as he entered the game? I didn't know that a pitcher could allow inherited runners to score to close the gap to >3 during the inning in which they earn the Save. If he doesn't allow any rims, then there is no Save, right?
  14. and injury status...
  15. 112 mph exit velo on that bomb
  16. Yeah if you need one more I'll stay in and try hard. I do like how it makes me watch more games than I normally would. I have Tyrese Maxey as a keeper option to help make my team better 😁 I propose the following changes for discussion, however my membership isn't contingent on any of them: 1. Reduce active or bench size by 1. Smaller roster helps with wire stuff and rewards more active players. Less starting spots makes matchup choices more important. Either way could work to make it more competitive. 2. Put everyone on waivers for 2 days after the draft, and make the wire order reverse order of the draft. 3. Remove Triple Doubles as a scoring category. Too lopsided of a stat, only Luka and Jokic have any real impact on this stat. Would be cool if the Double Double category would get an extra point for TDs so they aren't completely lost. Maybe bonus points for a quadruple double, cause I think Wemby is going to do that eventually. If you want to maintain 12 scoring categories, are there other options? Maybe something defensive that would balance out player selection options? I'm not sure what's available as a stat to use.
  17. If y'all are talking about the end of the 1st half, the team did spike the ball, but the refs say the booth called down for a review before that and negated the clock stop. Then a 10 second runoff happened, and I think there was confusion around if the timeout called by the Colts would stop the clock at 15 or 5 seconds. I think Demeco thought it would be a stopped clock at 15 seconds, not 5. It was a mess, but the refs should have been more clear about what was going to happen once the ball was set. Thankfully it didn't cost them the game, but it was damn close.
  18. Nice start to this game. The Astros were 3-3 against the Angels coming in, hopefully they can sweep these clowns and put a lot of pressure on the M's.
  19. Yeah I get it, I'm just very casual on fantasy sports now. I do agree with shortening the season though, I did that in my Fantasy Football league by reducing it a week, and it makes the playoffs so much more fun when things are more normal.
  20. I'm not that interested in playing for $100. If it was free or a $20 League I wouldn't mind, but it's kind of pricey for what is IMO a really weird format. I like keeping up with the league and the game, but we need to drop triple doubles as a stat and reduce roster sizes so that the wire isn't so barren.
