  1. Smart doing dumb things, what else is new?
  2. I voted. No wait up at John Paul Landing Park in Cypress, super quick and easy. Got my sticker, and happy to pull the lever for all Dems possible. Fuck vouchers, fuck killing immigrants at the border, and fuck Trumplicans. Hoping for a blue wave in 2 weeks.
  3. I'm surprised by both of those deals, but I guess it makes sense if there is a discount. I thought they were holding cap space to try and make a splash signing or trade, and then use the RFA match to go way over the cap, but I guess not. Happy to have Alpi for forever, and kinda meh on the thought of Green for 2 more years. Maybe he gets traded, or maybe he gets his shit together and becomes a perennial all-star. A man can dream.
  4. Same, no spoilers for this show. I like the surprises too much to ruin any.
  5. I haven't seen that ISIS Toyota skit in a while, still hilarious! I recommend everyone watch it: I found some other good team names on reddit that made me chuckle: 55pts 55rebs 55asts 55blks 55stls Inj-N-Out Very Demar, very Derozen P Giddey Innocent Until Proven Giddey Giddey Diddler They're Eating the KATs! 6. Ok nevermind. He's not gonna do anything even if half the team is injured by January. I saw him pop up as a dark horse RoY candidate on some betting sites and thought he might be worth a flyer, but he's just gonna drag down my averages if I use him. Still can't believe they wasted a 2nd on him, he should be in the G League.
  7. 👀 \ I'm gonna take a flyer on this guy with my last roster spot and see WTF happens lol...
  8. It's all good. I joined in the 5th round or so. Wemby would have been my first pick if TDs aren't a stat, that dude is gonna be in the running for MVP this year. Fox was my only wtf auto pick. I had him last year, and he was streaky and frustrating to have on your team. Maxey was my keeper in the 4th. I'm just glad I got in before it auto drafted Kawhi or Westbrook to me 😁 I would have probably taken Donovan Mitchell in the 2nd anyway, I love getting guys that are on my favorite teams. Plus I got him in the 2nd in my other league too. My other league team is pretty awesome looking compared to where some of the guys went in this draft, I got Giannis, Mitchell and Sabonis with my first 3 picks in a 10 team league. I think the players in this league are much higher quality, so I hope to wreck shop over there, even though I had 7th pick.
  9. Oh shit, I didn't realize the draft was tonight. Fuck me.
  10. I would have been fine with him kneeling in the back field if the pass wasn't there. Forcing a 10 yard throw to the sideline that would have been out of bounds if caught, is not helpful. The FG was a chip shot anyway, if you aren't getting a TD or a defensive penalty, just keep the clock rolling.
  11. Great call on that last third down Slowik, you fucking idiot. CJ was pretty trash all day, and you don't even try to make a play in the end zone? Run or screen pass to waste a timeout or 40 seconds. Every coach with a brain knows this. Anyway, good game Packers, see you again in February.
  12. Sure, just save them a timeout or whatever. No big deal...
  13. That first down was HUGE!
  14. I'm sure we could all use a good laugh right now. I watched this one a few times, lulz
  15. MPJ for a 9th seems like decent value. Not much value elsewhere, and even that one is kinda iffy.
  16. I think 8 teams is the best option. 4 conference winners and 4 at-large teams. No byes, everyone plays a quality game every week for 3 weeks.
  17. Well, it's not like they are from Central America either. Antarctica is the only place I can think of that they would fit, and despite the long flight costs, as a taxpayer I would be in favor of it.
  18. Oh cool! Going from 10th to 2nd is a whole different world. Even better it means my 4th round keeper is 39th pick! 😁 I did some mocks today, and Wemby went first in all of them. Kinda surprising to see a second year guy there, but he's from another planet. Last year he was a 2nd/3rd round pick, now he's probably 1.1 for the next 10 years. Haven't seen many rookies picked, this draft class isn't projected to do well based on Fantasy prognostications. I think Sarr was the only one, but he was in the last round or two.
  19. I'm not sure that was intentional. I think he got confused about what to do in that situation and froze, while Bridges ran into him expecting an NBA player to go up and contest the shot. Great thing is Bronny has a lot of time to learn how to play defense and contest shots at the rim before Game 1 of the season, and he has 4 years guaranteed to learn on the job too!
  20. I am good with those keepers. Do we have any other options for replacing the Triple Double stat? I don't run a BB fantasy league, so I'm not sure what other options they have for scoring. I know my other league on Yahoo has Free Throws total, and also FT%. Might be an option, but I would think there are others.
  21. That is awesome, but also irritating to see. Lines should not need to be that long, there should be more methods to vote, more locations, and it should be faster/simpler in person. Props to all those in line, if i saw that i would come back another day. Early voting in Texas starts tomorrow, but I'm gonna shoot for Tuesday to hopefully avoid the rush.
  22. This popped up while i was working around the house, the Al Smith Catholic Charity dinner in New York. The first ~20 minutes is basically Jim Gaffigan doing a roast, which is pretty funny. He jokes about both sides pretty well, and then slips in one kitty grabbing joke while introducing Trump that was "agreed to be left out" as someone near the podium says audibly on the video. There's a short Kamala video, which was 2 minutes of the Mary Catherine SNL character and a few minutes of Harris giving a short formal address. Then it's like 30 minutes of Trump trying to make some jokes and possibly the most coherent speech he's given in months. He's following a script and actually sticking to it, which is kind of surprising he can do. Not that the content is anything interesting, but i did think it was funny when he announced he was at the "self deprecating jokes" part, and then side stepped it saying there were plenty of other people that do it for him. He actually calls Bill Deblasio a "shitty mayor," and talks about how Eric Adams is going to beat the charges and come out on top. I like how he talks about his dad giving money to charity when he was a kid, but fails to mention anything he's ever done for charity.
  23. I'll keep Tyrese Maxey for sure in the 4th. I'm torn between Brandon Miller in the 10th or Keldon Johnson in the 9th. I think I'll shoot my shit with Miller and hope he makes a leap this year.
  24. Nothing from Maye makes me concerned about the Patriots future. The guy had zero pocket presence and got hit at least a dozen times and sailed a few balls into defenders. Looked like vintage David Carr out there, holding the ball way too long, not making quick decisions, and rarely throwing more than 10 yards down field. Yeah his protection wasn't good, but he really didn't do much to help them. He was in shotgun nearly every passing snap, and didn't step up past the outside rush or roll out to get more time to look down field much. It's his first start, so plenty of time to get better, but this doesn't look like a budding Jordan Love or CJ Stroud level player. Seems more like Mac Jones 2.0 to me. If I was a Pats fan, I would ignore all that, focus on the numbers, which includes lots of yac on short throws and garbage time, and hope he develops more. But as a fan of the Texans, who have been beaten down by Brady and the Pats a dozen times over the years, I'm happy they will be spending a bunch of resources on a guy who probably has a max ceiling of being Alex Smith. In other news, Watson continues to fail for the Browns. That trade really will go down as the most lopsided trade of all time. It is outdoing the Hershell Walker trade, which lead to that team winning a few Super Bowls with the proceeds. Let's hope the Texans can repeat history and do the same with their bounty. The team so far looks like they will be at least the 3 seed and hosting a playoff game or two. Getting Autry back next week will improve the pass rush even more, which is needed against the Packers. If Nico can get healthy, the offense will go back to lethal status, and hopefully he's back in time for the Lions game at least. The NFC North is stacked this year.
