  1. Ok Walz, ask him to name 1 mass shooting that was committed by a gunman with a gun trafficked by Mexican cartels. GO FOR THE THROAT ON THIS LIAR!
  2. Saying "it was fact checked at the last debate" is not a good look of an answer. It makes me think he doesn't know much about a bill he signed. Tim should be able to expound on that a bit more. Not that it really matters all that much in the grand scheme of things, but Vance has appeared much better prepared and more polished. He's still a turd, but he's a polished turd.
  3. Vance really took that abortion topic and flipped it around, good job reframing it as pro-life, pro-family, etc etc. Obviously the sinister part of their platform is that they want a full ban with no exceptions, but that's a great job of putting lipstick on a pig, as they say.
  4. 1989 Tiananmen Square protests and massacre Date of protests: 15 April – 4 June 1989 (1 month, 2 weeks and 6 days) Tim was there in August? Not too far off, but not exactly the same time. I don't really care.
  5. The entire Republican Platform is based on pretending that Donald Trump was not president after 2019.
  6. Yeah they had work shopped this line months ago for Trump to use against "Trader Joe" for his love of China or whatever, but I guess they ran out of ideas and are recycling it for this debate.
  7. Time for some MEATLOAF!
  8. oh god, that was so bad...
  9. Don't worry guys, he'll be back out for the 10th to get the win! *Espada logic*
  10. Hader is gonna pitch the 9th of every playoff game, isn't he?
  11. Save us Jon Singleton!
  12. Got out of that jam, now time to score some runs and walk it off in the 9th.
  13. Looks safe to me, but maybe he slipped off the bag?
  14. Wow, they are not taking any pitches here.
  15. 6 balls 2 strikes for Neris so far...
  16. My wife was in that area this morning, and she said she saw signs of $44 for surface parking. $6 to walk in is nice though.
  17. "Right-hander Kenta Maeda was left off Detroit's roster after throwing 89 pitches Sunday." Awwwwwww shucks.
  18. Let's hope upgrading the stadium air conditioning is part of the deal. We were at field level for that Friday night White Sox loss, and it was about 85 inside.
  19. I'm sure the prospect of playing against 2 rookie managers on this side of the bracket has a little to do with the Tigers decision to lay down. I'm just surprised the Royals didn't do the same. Oh well, Orioles/Yanks on the other side should be fun to watch.
  20. Facing the inevitable Cy Young winner in game 1 of the Wild Card isn't a great start to the playoffs. On the bright side, the last time Skubal started at Minute Maid, he lost 0-4 and Hunter Brown threw 7 shutout innings with 5 hits and 0 walks.
  21. I'm not Catholic, but I wouldn't mind owning one of these.
  22. Braves walk it off vs KC, so both them and the Tigers lose. Tomorrow's games will matter for seeding. Judge had 5 strikeouts today, so that's neat.
  23. That list is real interesting. Hader is above average and at least top 10 overall as a closer. He has the best strikeout rate among the group. Only 4 blown saves, but we know he's also blown some tie situations in extras that don't show up in that stat, although some weren't his fault when he was allowed to stretch for 2 innings. Royals closer MacArthur has a 72% save rate with nearly a 5 ERA. Not scary at all, and a nice opponent to have in the first round (fingers crossed) Tigers have a good closer in Foley, I hope they draw the 5th seed. Guardians have the best closer in the league with Clase, and he might even get some Cy Young votes this year, but their starters will give up a lot of runs before you get to him. Do the Orioles even have a new closer? Kimbrel was released after sucking for most of the season. Yankees Clay Holmes is at 69% save rate with 13 blown saves, which is awful. He shouldn't scare anyone. Not too much to worry about, the Astros probably have the best overall pitching staff in the AL playoffs, which should give them an edge in any of these matchups.
  24. I think they both go 1-1 to finish and we get KC. A triple A Tigers team should be able to win at least 1 vs the White Sox, and I doubt KC is going to pull 2 wins out of their ass. They have been a below .500 team since the Astros played them with most of their wins coming against non-playoff teams. They are in a slump, so I hope we draw them.
