  1. Welp, add him to the pardon list. Gonna be quite extensive come January 20th...
  2. So when does Hartenstein get back from injury? Should be pretty soon, right?
  3. Maybe he's secretly dating a Kardashian?
  4. Yikes, pelvic fracture confirmed. Expected to return later this season. OKLAHOMA CITY -- Thunder star Chet Holmgren left Sunday's 127-116 loss to the Golden State Warriors because of injury, and the team later announced he suffered a pelvic fracture. The Thunder detailed the injury as a right iliac wing fracture and said an update on Holmgren's status will be provided in eight to 10 weeks. The team said Holmgren is expected to return this season. Holmgren took a hard fall when he went to challenge an Andrew Wiggins drive midway through the first quarter. After a midair collision, Holmgren fell on his right side. The Thunder big man remained on the floor in apparent pain for a moment before needing help off the court and into the locker room. He didn't put any weight on his right leg as he left with 6:50 to go in the first quarter.
  5. You also shouldn't spend a timeout before they are in FG range. Make them manage the clock, don't do it for them.
  6. 1st down aaaaaaaaaand then a run for 2 yards lol...
  7. Ah yeah, that's true. Forgot about him. I'm guessing he will come of the bench for 25 minutes a game and take away from Ty Jerome and Dean Wade. That's another 3+D guy that will fit right in, or maybe become trade bait at the deadline.
  8. Ah that's so shitty they called him down on the 1. His momentum was carrying him backwards towards the end zone, should have been a touchback.
  9. No harm no foul. Texans get a Do-over from the 25 lol
  10. They comin for that 73 win season title! Ah, I'm just kidding, I'm sure GS and their wiley vets are probably good for a 5-8 see, I just thought they would put up more of a fight on defense. Giving up 83 points in the first half is like NBA Allstar Game level defense. The main thing for Cleveland is that Garland has really stepped up his offense from last year and appears to have finally taken that next step. They still have 2 smallish guards for starters, but they also have a stable of lanky forwards to help cover those defensive liabilities and spread out rotations to help maintain good defense. Garland's shooting splits are waaaaaaaaay up this season, and I believe he's currently in the 50/40/90 club at the moment. This is pretty much the same team as last year, but the other big differences are having a much better head coach in Atkinson, and that nobody is injured yet (knock on wood). Last year Garland had a freak facial fracture around this time and missed like 25 games. Mitchell and Allen missed like 30+ games each during the season too, so you never know when the bug will hit. Hopefully they can continue riding this hot streak to the NBA IST Championship at the very least, and get that title for shits and giggles.
  11. Defense has been doing work tonight, really great to see. I thought the run D would get rolled over coming into this, but they have held up well. The Lions have a top 5 run offense, and are #1 in points per game this season. Really happy to see so much resilience from that group and some good pressure on dropbacks.
  12. Wow, that was a hell of a punt and great coverage! Little victories!
  13. Then tell us who you would have drafted at #3 instead big guy. Every analyst said it was a shitty draft as far as top end star talent goes, and that the majority of these high picks would become role players. Reed played at Kentucky, shot over 50% from 3, was a willing passer, active defender, led the SEC in steals, and was thought to project as a 3+D guy. He's 6'2, which is probably an inch or two under the average height for a SG, but nothing out of the ordinary. He's a little young at 20 years old, so plenty of time for him to get better, but a sharpshooter with that kind of game is a pretty good pick to develop. Need to revisit it in a few years, it's too early to tell right now.
  14. By the way, whatever happened to Democrats being for reducing the military budget? Did 9/11 basically kill that entire notion? I don't think there was any effort under Biden to reduce military spending, in fact it went up under him. Not sure Kamala has even addressed it, other than saying we would continue to have the greatest military in the world at the DNC. That is one thing that frustrates me with both parties, neither one of them actually wants to reduce government spending in any meaningful way. Conservatives were supposed to be about smaller government, less spending, etc, but all you get out of them is huge tax cuts for the wealthy and insane amounts of debt in return. They always do the the easy part without balancing the budget on the other side. Dems have been more modest with that stuff and trying to raise or create taxes that cover their spending, but that always comes back to bite them in the ass. We will never get debt under control if the two competing philosophies are fighting over where money is spent without balancing it against costs. I have zero hope that changes under Trump, I expect debt to balloon under him and his dumb tariffs to screw up the economic progress we have made since 2021.
  15. Somewhere I saw the recommendation for Joe to step down, but the reason was that Kamala would become the 47th president, and make Trump 48. That would make all his dumb '47 hats and agenda 47 stuff off by 1, which would be funny. It's petty, but I can't say it wouldn't make me chuckle.
  16. I'm in 2 leagues and both of my teams are getting slammed with injuries. I think my other leagues team is a real winner though, once they get healthy. I was picking 7th in a 10 team Roto league, and I can't believe how it worked out for me. This roster is deep. Some guy just offered me Herro and Brook Lopez for Jarrett Allen, which seems not too bad given Allen's potential for injury every year...
  17. They traded the workforce for the wokeforce and it hasn't worked out. Need to get back to being the party of labor and unions and focus on raising wages for all.
  18. Golden State = pretenders confirmed
  19. They got Hulk Hogan and we got THE ROCK!
  20. I know there are still a lot of votes to count, so it's not really fair to compare 2020 to 2024 vote totals quite yet, but there was a steep decline in overall turnout. That's really surprising considering the total number of eligible voters should rise every year as population increases. Really makes you wonder how 10 million+ people would sit out an election after seemingly voting against the same guy 4 years ago.
  21. How much do hobbit holes in NZ go for? They sound cozy and wonderful, I could get behind that idea.
  22. Are the Warriors actually really as good as the stats say? They are currently top 5 in O and D rating as a team, and 7-1 record to show for it. They play in Cleveland on Friday, so this might be an interesting test for the 9-0 Cavs.
  23. So are we still doing Chili's or nah?
