  1. Or maybe... Send KD to the Rockets for FVV and Green + some protected picks. Rockets sign Harden and Westbrook as free agents. Steven Adams comes back healthy next year. Young Rockets core and assets to help build around them. Then they can throw a party for the OKC Thunder 2.0!
  2. That called strike 3 on Yordan was very wide off the plate. Bad call, and really hurt with only 1 out.
  3. It's really hard to believe this team is just 2 years from their last World Series win. Still not out of it yet, but it ain't looking good either.
  4. Maybe not their immediate depth with players in that trade, but they have very little to build with in the future being a second apron team. I think it's fair to say that this 2023/24 team is likely the best they will have during KD's time with the Suns. There are some new rules around luxury tax spending teams, and it puts some serious limitations on their roster building options (plus losing all those picks). The Suns in 2024/25 are projected to be over the Second Apron by 17m and then have 38m in cap holds for their free agents. They will be unable to do much of anything to improve significantly. They also have 188m committed to 2025/26, so it's going to be quite the balancing act to improve or make trades. New CBA rules: What are the penalties for the first apron? The first apron hits when a team's payroll exceeds $172 million. At this point, the following restrictions are triggered: Teams cannot acquire a player in a sign-and-trade if that player keeps them above the apron Teams cannot sign a player waived during the regular season whose salary was over the $12.2 million midlevel exception Salary matching in trades must be within 110 percent, rather than 125 percent for teams not above the apron What are the penalties for the second apron? All of the penalties for the first apron apply to the second apron as well, which is triggered when a team's salary exceeds $182.5 million. For the 2023-24 season, one additional penalty is added when crossing the second apron: No access to the $5 million taxpayer midlevel exception Starting at the end of the 2023-24 season, even more restrictions will be added to the second apron. These include: Teams cannot use a trade exception generated by aggregating the salaries of multiple players Teams cannot include cash in a trade Teams cannot use a trade exception generated in a prior year First-round picks seven years out are frozen (unable to be traded) A team's first-round pick is moved to the end of the first round if they remain in the second apron for three out of five seasons
  5. This Suns offense is so cringe, I can't watch it any more. They need a real offensive game plan and a point guard to run it so badly.
  6. Is this sarcasm? His days Miami were when he seemed to realize he could get a lot of out of refs by complaining. I attribute that development to Wade, since he won his first ring largely due to flopping for free throws and complaining to refs.
  7. Eye roll -1 Middle finger -2 Goatse rep -3 This will help make crowd sourcing more efficient and save a few CR posters from getting carpal tunnel syndrome. (Btw, Is that still a thing?)
  8. He got the baseball equivalent of being Bernarded. Bullies with power like to act this way and be tough guys when they know there are no consequences. It's fucking stupid.
  9. The Cavs have been in control of this game from start to finish. Winning 2 at home is expected, but I'm glad to see them doing it. Hopefully they complete a sweep and get some rest before facing Boston and trying to pull off a massive upset in that series.
  10. They released a Bluray version a couple years back that had about an hour of deleted scenes added to it. If you want to watch through them all, you can see this video, however I didn't see the part where Candy told the whole story about his wife and traveling. There is a lot of time spent on the pizza guy and that motel room.
  11. Wow, maybe Dame is worth 50m+ after all.... Dude is killing the Pacers right now. 6-9 from 3, 33 points in the first half.
  12. Oh wow, Clips up 23 through 3, and that's without Kawhi. Ouch. Nice to see James Harden sticking it to Dallas lol.
  13. Wow, that speech would have added so much weight to that movie, it's a shame they didn't take the opportunity to use it. I get why they kept it lighter, but I think that gut punch of a story could have worked to pull at everyone's heart strings. It would be remembered totally differently if they did it.
  14. Don't worry, they will sign a few more Eric Gordon's this off-season to right the ship.
  15. Wow, that was a terrible way to lose.
  16. Maybe we should make the Astros theme song Roxanne. It seems every time I tune into a game late, I miss all the good parts, someone's bleeding on the floor, the pies are burning in the oven, someone's as high as a kite and the whole place is on fire...
  17. Hey guys, just tuning in, how's it going?
  18. If you're NOLA, do you take the late teens pick this year, or punt to 2025? I think I would wait for 2025 and hope the wheels fall off. Lots of health question marks for AD and old LeBron. They had a good year, and a team just above .500 is about what you would expect for them at best. Unless they swing some big trade out of nowhere, they shouldn't do any better in 25.
  19. The Bulls are squandering a great chance at knocking out Miami right now...
  20. So when do we get Speaker Jeffries and get some shit done before losing the Senate in January?
  21. FVV is making 42.8 million next year, no contender is trading for that. His club option in year 3 is not getting picked up by anyone. He is, at best, a salary dump option for a team looking to avoid some taxes and shed future salary on a bad contract. Guys that might fit the bill (but probably not happening) would be KAT, Beal, Trae Young or a Murray/Bogdan package, Lavine, Ayton, Middleton, etc. They might be able to work their way in as the third team in a big trade and get a pick or two for their troubles. I think Atlanta will make a big move this off-season, and that might be their best option to help facilitate a deal involving FVV. Take back some salary, but not too much, because they need to extend Sengun next year, and probably Green too. I think the real question is, do we need FVV with Amen entering his second year? Is it time to hand over the reigns and see what can happen?
