  1. He's a lefty, so that may be useful later when he's moved to the pen. Otherwise it's a pretty lackluster trade, unless they get Vladdy too.
  2. I signed up, here's the link for anyone else that wants to join: Link
  3. I'm sorry, it's 7:00 for the ear clipping shot, 7:30 is the center of the ear. Either way, they both show significantly more damage to the flesh than what we have seen since that day. It certainly seems like a whole bullet couldn't have done the minor damage we saw.
  4. This video shows what would happen if a bullet clipped your ear lobe. The shockwave going through the head is so obvious, there's no way a human would react the way Trump did. It has to be debris either from the teleprompter or a bullet fragment. Go to 7:30 for the test footage.
  5. Looks like it, and the ESPN predictor seems to like our chances lol...
  6. I think there is an awesome TV show to be made of Tim Walz and Doug Emhoff going to local diners, amusement parks, small sports events and such. They can praise the local culture and food, while talking to everyday people about their concerns and problems with genuine empathy. They could call it "US Ambassadors to America" or something and feature them as a political dynamic duo highlighting the best parts of American culture while also calling attention and action to issues voters can impact.
  7. Yeah but Joe is really good at getting his pitches into a tight window.
  8. Montero for Alonso: Make it happen Dana, OR YOU'RE THE WORST GM EVARRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!
  9. Yeah, I know a few people who moved there in the last 5 years to get away from "liberal dictatorships" Saw this on Twitter, maybe it's a sign of things to come for Florida.
  10. I went through his twitter feed the other night, and there is so much wholesome content. I didn't see much negativity, every time he posts about politics it's always positive and highlighted great work or programs in the state. It's so surprising to see that nowadays from a politician. He's a veteran, a former teacher, union member, and a gun owner with support for sensible gun laws. I can't find anything I disagree with on his interviews or Minnesota state laws. Dude would be perfect to get some, Midwest, independents, blue collar workers and white folks that resonated with Biden in 2020 to vote blue this election. And picking him does not jeopardize and important seat that could be vulnerable next election.
  11. Good to see, keeping Arizona and Georgia blue make the Electoral math significantly easier. Seeing Florida on there is interesting. It still blows my mind to think Bush won it twice, Obama won Florida twice, but Trump won it twice. Maybe it continues the pattern and flips blue in 24/28.
  12. I never gave a shit about him, but I did listen to the first part of BtB pod on him, and it was incredibly entertaining. I still think he's a deranged asshole and possibly could swing this election Trump's way, but it's a great listen for anyone who enjoys learning about historical bastards. All the stuff about his falcon is amazing, and I can't believe he doesn't bring one with him on the campaign trail. It would go over really well with the lunatics who adore him. Here's a link to their YouTube channel:
  13. I think the main issue is that Biden wanted to make a talking point of being progressive with his picks and announced that he was going to select a black woman for both VP and SCOTUS well before the decision was made. Harris and Jackson were both qualified for those high ranking roles, but intending to only look for those qualities first, narrows the search in a way that is perceived as being racially biased. The proper way to do it is to simply announce the person and focus on their qualifications as to why they were chosen. If Democrats want to lead on this issue, that's how it should be handled. Keep putting qualified minorties in those positions, but treat it as normal and common and it will eventually be an afterthought.
  14. If Gov Tim Walz is the pick, I think he will do great. I watched a few interviews of him and other candidates this week, and I do like him a lot. Perusing his twitter feed there is a lot of really positive stuff that will resonate with many voters:
  15. The "laughin Kamala" thing reminds me of a criticism they had against Hillary in 2016. There was of course the same accusations against her like calling it a "cackle" a "hyena laugh" etc, but there was one particular instance they clung to. They framed a short clip as "laughing at getting a pedo off on a technicality." There was an interview Hillary gave many years before the election in which she talked about her time as a defense attorney. There was a segment of it where her and the interviewer laugh at the outcome of the case they mention. What they leave out is the context of it, where iirc the prosecution had requested DNA testing to get evidence from the victim's clothes. In the process, the testing company cut out all the pieces of the clothes they tested, and did not return those cutouts. She successfully argued that this was essentially destroying the evidence, as they couldn't corroborate the results themselves. She and the interviewer were laughing at how inexplicably stupid it was of the prosecution to destroy their main piece of evidence and lose the case due to it. Those details don't show up in the 8 second clips you see on social media, but that's what these things get reduced to by unserious people who simply don't care about the truth.
  16. I think we all know that when JD Vance enters the upholstery, it's no longer a couch and it becomes a loveseat.
