  1. That one day of being .500 was great...
  2. A 50/40/90 player would be awesome, but I doubt this guy will ever get close to that efficiency. I forgot about the Summer League, it will be fun to see how bad Bronny James is compared to guys that belong in the NBA.
  3. Maybe they should have had some debates in the Democratic primary a few months ago? Might have been a better time for this debacle to occur. I know I know, incumbents don't need to debate within the party, etc etc, but that was hard to watch last night. Would have been much better coming from within the party to lessen the blows and focus on policy. I do wonder if Biden needs to dump Harris as VP and pick someone that may actually appeal to voters as a "President-in-Waiting." I have a hard time buying the idea that Biden will make it 4 full years before resigning, dying or having the 25th amendment invoked. The narrative from the right is going to shift soon to "Do you really want Kamala Harris to be President? Because that's what you're voting for with Biden" and I think that may appeal to some independents like the anti-Hillary sentiment in 2016. Sure she doesn't have the same baggage, but she's not a strong candidate in the first place. Newsome needs to be the backup plan for Biden. Let Biden make it 2+ years, then ride off into the sunset to let Gavin take over for the next 8 years after that, and maybe things can get back to normal as Alito and Thomas die out sometime during that administration.
  4. Feels like going up 1-0 in a 3 game series, eh?
  5. I agree. He's not just stuttering with answers, but also stumbling to answer. His age is absolutely obvious. Trump may be wrong in a lot of stuff he says, but you need someone sharp to reply and skewer a lying sack if shit like him.
  6. 7. I would do everything I can to steal Elaine, or let her use me in the airplane bathroom to make Puddy jealous.
  7. So slow, unathletic white guy. BUST!!! 🙄
  8. @MNLonghornFUKM The San Antonio Spurs are sending Kentucky guard Rob Dillingham, the No. 8 pick in this year's NBA draft, to the Minnesota Timberwolves, sources told ESPN. The Spurs added to their future draft pick stash by acquiring a 2031 unprotected first-round pick and a 2030 top-one protected pick swap from the Timberwolves, according to sources. According to ESPN's Bobby Marks, Minnesota's luxury tax bill climbs from $56 million to $84 million with the addition of Dillingham's salary. 😬 Can they afford that, or will they be dumping someone?
  9. Holy shit! NYK is going all in!
  10. If nothing else, drive up the price for others. I can't imagine the Astros have the right prospects to outbid whoever else wants him, but it's worth having some conversations. Fixing the first base position for 2 years would be pretty awesome. If it takes Loperfido and a pitcher, I wouldn't mind. I don't see him fixing his strikeout rate any time soon and that's not sustainable. Hopefully the Blue Jays don't realize that...
  11. Obstruction of first base on a pickoff attempt, that's a new one.
  12. Wow, 7 innings, 3 hits, no runs, no walks, 10 Ks for Arrighetti! I know it's the Rockies, but that is an incredible line for him.
  13. App development in a nutshell
  14. I think he would be routed to a third team looking to dump some money or a contract (Lavine, Ball, MPJ, KAT, Murray). They would then cut CP, and then he's a free agent, ready to sign wherever he wants. If I'm the Clippers, I would tell PG to gtfo with that S&T idea, and either pick up your option to stay, or go find some team with 50 million in cap space you want to join (Detroit, Philly, Orlando or Utah). Ideally for the Clippers, he opts in and plays in a contract year, CP gets cut, and comes to LAC to lead the offense. Other guys come to LA to help fill out the roster, and they only let Kawhi play once a week to keep him fresh for the playoffs. I think the Clippers best path forward is to get PG to opt-in and stay without extending him another 4 years.
  15. They still have Chris Paul's 30m deal on the books, which I believe has an option for later this week. Then they still have some other contracts like Kuminga and whatever to make up the difference. Not sure what LAC would want, but there's no way for GS to offer that amount with outright cap space.
  16. Rumor is they are going to be shopping Randle for a new Center or something. He's on the block at least. Not sure what they could get for him though, he's never struck me as a great player and he makes 29 and 31m the next 2 years.
  17. This is the year to trade FVV if you can, he's basically an expiring deal because nobody is going to opt-in to his 45m next year. It could be used as a salary dump for a team that needs to drop tax money (Suns, Warriors, Twolves). If there is a way to get Booker or KD, it might be worth it, but I think they would need to secure another All-star to really have a chance at getting past the 2nd round.
  18. This ESPN article lays it out plainly: https://www.espn.com/nba/insider/story/_/id/40433333/nba-trade-grades-bridges-knicks-cooking-houston I don't see why the Rockets would do this, I would fucking DARE the Nets to try and be good next year. Go spend some money and max out OG Anunoby or Klay Thompson if you want. It would blow up in their faces, just like this year did. I would gladly take a team on track for the 4-9th worst record and take that shot at a top 4 pick in a loaded draft over the future 1sts from the Suns and Mavs. Luka is 25, and he's not likely to leave Dallas, so I don't see those being valuable. The Suns are just a year or two away from the wheels falling off, so maybe one of those picks land a bounty in 27 or 29.
  19. Nice pickup for the Knicks, but all those unprotected picks is potentially Rudy Gobert levels of risk. They should be top 3 in the East this year though.
  20. Russell Westbrook got an MVP doing the same shit, and his stans were all "TRIPLE DOUBLE MAN! STATS DON'T LIE! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!"
  21. Ah well, anyways... Time to go watch the end of the Stanley Cup Game 7.
