  1. They should try to get Nic Claxton from Brooklyn, he's on an expiring deal for 9m and shouldn't be too expensive. If they want to win a ring this year, they should also try to get Bridges in the deal and send out Bertans, Mann, Micic and picks in the deal. Adding Bridges and Claxton to that team would be insane, and Mikal has 2 more years on his deal at a very reasonable rate. It's amazing how good OKC is right now and they dumped something like 25m in salary by waiving guys like Porter and Rudy Gay. They are in excellent cap position right now and should make a big splash now while they still have a bunch of cash to spend.
  2. Evan Mobley is finally back after missing about 2 months! He played 21 minutes, so it looks like they will ease him back into the lineup. Sadly it looks like Merrill's minutes are being cut back though, he was the hero off the bench the last few games. Team defense is now ranked 3rd in the NBA overall, but the offense is around 20th. Hopefully it gets better whenever Garland comes back. I'm honestly surprised the Cavs have been able to maintain 60%+ win rate with all these injuries, it feels like the starting 5 haven't played together more than a couple games this season.
  3. The NFL should get some Taylor rumors swirling to increase its viewership, like if the Chiefs win then he's going to propose to her on the field after the game. It will dominate the lead up to the game, and annoy the fuck out of a bunch of their fans.
  4. Double covered and a safety in range to jump in front of it lol ... Then Lamar slams his helmet on the ground like a child. Awesome. Tswift to the Super Bowl!
  5. Didn't the Mets acquire 3 of those 4 at the trade deadline last year?
  6. So Neris declined an 8.5m option, got the 1m opt out payment, then 9m for 1 year with the Cubs? Not bad, but now he has to move to Chicago, so he's probably making about the same after taxes than if he stayed with the Astros. Although freeing up that money probably contributed to signing Hader, so it all works out for us. Neris was fun and will be missed, glad he was here to contribute to the 2022 championship team and to piss off the Mariners!
  7. Just need to go full speed into nuclear research and start building reactors to fill the gap. Let renewables cover ~40% and use nuclear for most of the rest. The amount of waste produced is minimal, and there could be other uses for it with more research.
  8. I would be surprised if this "pause" lasted beyond December. It's a signal to green voters that he cares, but will quickly be forgotten once reelection is secured. LNG is vital to our allies since the invasion of Ukraine.
  9. I'm now seeing Cooper mocked in the 10-20 range, so I don't know if he will be there at 23, but he's a great prospect. He's 6'1, which is perfect height for a DB, and he looks very fast, can play CB or S, and can return kicks too. Will be interesting to see how his 40 time is at the combine. Depending on how well he grades at the combine, he may be a top 15 guy. Apparently he won some high school track and field competitions in Iowa, which means he's very fast.
  10. Oh shit, I did not look into the details. That's horrible, I didn't even know that was an option for a judge. Would love to know how often that happens in court, what the demographics are of the judge and defendant, and see it split out by states.

  12. She can't do THAT! She's on a VERY fixed income! STOP THE SHOOOOOOOOOOW!!!
  13. How likely is it that Trump is left off a few ballots in a states, like Maine, which could cost electoral votes? Could you imagine if he was kept off Maine's ballot, didn't have a chance at that 1 EV, and lost 268 to 270? That would would be insane. If somehow Nikki pulls off the upset and takes the nomination away from Trump, how badly does that hurt the GOP nationally? That has to cause a significant portion of their national support to skip voting and kill their chances in a lot of narrow races downballot for the House and Senate. Unless he runs third party, which would effectively tank Haley's chances of winning. I'm still surprised at Biden's low approval rating, hovering around 38% right now. I thought he would be in the mid 40s with the current economy. It's only dropped about 1% since the Israel/Gaza war, which is less than I expected. Is it the border crisis that's dragging him down? Would be great to get a deal passed in Congress to address that now, so we can hopefully see some improvement in a few months. Doubtful that will happen in the current landscape though.
  14. Pretty good looking chart the last couple of years. I'm sure inflation, illegal immigrants or something cancels it out though...
  15. It was entirely because of this monologue, which is probably more about what was said rather than how she delivered it. She might win the award if enough voters rally around the movie just to prove a point.
  16. I spent so much time trying to get their clothes off, I never thought of taking mine off.
  17. They passed on Nick Nurse for that guy too. The 76ers are doing well with Nurse, no Harden, and are a half game behind the Bucks for #2 in the East. Going with Rivers would be funny.
  18. lol at that getting Donovan Mitchell. He's not going anywhere this year. Possibly next year they look to move him if things go really poorly, but I think he will sign a supermax with Cleveland and stay for a while. I think Young or Murray would cost more than that too, unless they are completely unprotected Lakers picks. Lavine is gettable, because his contract is insane. Maybe they can get it to work with the Bulls. The Nets should be looking to trade Bridges and Claxton to the highest bidder. They need a rebuild badly. The Lakers should try to get one of them at least.
  19. I would like them to get Mike Evans if he's not too expensive. He's a Houston guy, up for his last big deal, might be willing to make a friendly deal to come play at home. He's made QBs like Mayfield and Manziel look great, and won a Super Bowl with Brady. The guy just beats DBs a ton and makes it easy on a QB. Pairing him with Stroud would be insane, and would take some heat off Nico and Tank, which will help them stay healthy. I don't think they need to spend a lot on a RB. Singletary is great if he's willing to return for a reasonable amount, but I don't think he was "special". I think they could get another RB in the draft like 3rd-5th round and a cheap 1-2 in free agency. They must find a new safety in free agency. We don't have time to spend a 1st or 2nd on a Safety and teach him how to play in the NFL. Bolstering the Dline and Oline are priorities for every team, but I think the O-line is where we really need it. Stroud is the engine that will drive this team to wins. Need at least 1 guard in Free Agency and 1 in the draft. Priority to one that can be a backup Center and eventually take the starter spot in a year or two.
  20. On the bright side at least we get 1 more game of Taylor Swift reaction shots!
  21. He had a step on the DB, which is why the pass was going there, until the LB deliberately stepped into him. It was close enough to "being in the air" that the benefit of the doubt will go to the offense.
  22. A linebacker can't run into a wide receiver running a route. I really can't believe some of you are football fans and bitch about a call like that.
  23. They don't actually want to play next week in SF.
